Personally I think they just trailblazed onto an unexplored part of the Imaginary tree.

Hot take. Akivili achieved their goal and reached the so called "tree" ascending to something beyond aeonhood. They manifested their will as (the cat) Elio, who technically started the whole story of the game; hence why Elio can see the future and can write "scripts" that one can follow. Now this can be kept a secret and not even the stellaron hunters be aware of because all they do is follow the "script" guiding them to....a destined outcome that Elio already saw. It kinda makes sense since Kafka first talked to the mc at the start of the game, she gave us the "script" and we follow it; on this journey the mc is "looked upon" by Aeons, granting them special "powers". Qlipoth for ex. is not interested in mortal affairs at all, yet...they granted the mc the power of preservation with a single hammer swing. Elio plays the role of a "director" and i think Akivili fits this role very well, since the "play" is all about trailblazing.

(2.2 spoiler) In the 2.2 final boss fight, sunday almost ascend to aoenhood due to his belief in philosophy. It's literally call "Embryo of Philosophy" Sunday and in the description it said that: "Using the Harmonious Choir as a foundation, the power of Order and Harmony intertwine to form the shell of an egg, within which the newborn god slumbers. The metaphysical embryo mumbles the olden dreams of childhood as the fetal movement of Paths throbs in the long night, futilely resisting the rising dawn." So ascending to aeonhood is just having a strong enough belief. My theory is that the trailblazer won't become another akavili but another aeon entirely. Most of their voiceline revolve around choices and our play style of them comprise of choosing which path we could follow reflect that. What kafka said to us at the start of the game might not just be a warning to us not to regret making the wrong choice but it's a seed that she implant for it to sprout into a much larger belief and eventually ascend us to aeonhood to fight nanook. It also make sense story wise, what could go against destruction the idea of removing thing and limitng our options but the idea of choices and how we are free to choose what we do in the future TLDR: i think the trailblazer will ascend to aeonhood but will not follow that path of trailblaze but Choices and since our ideal will clash will Nanook that would be how we ended up fighting against them anyway english isn't my first language so i hope my theory makes sense lol

Let's be real here. Every "dead" Aeon so far is shown in no uncertain terms to still be around in one form or another. Even Long the Permanence is still around in some way through the existence of the Vidyadhara race on the Luofu. Akivili is still around in some form or another. Either as Pom Pom, or as the engine of the Astral Express, or even as Destiny's slave Elio, Akivili is not gone for good because no Aeon can disappear entirely. We're for sure going to stumble upon THEM (or THEY upon us?!) at some point in the story.

I still think the MC is Akivili. I left a PHD thesis in your video on how to kill an Aeon, so I wont repeat here. But basically, considering we WILL defeat Nanook eventually, which would require the power of an Aeon, and how Aha and the Masked Fools (all of which are known to be quite close to Akivili and the Nameless) keep showing up to help the Trailblazer, it makes me think the MC is Akivili themselves, yet to reawaken their Aeonhood.

Dan Heng unintentionally gave the most fitting reason for Akivili's disappearance during his dialogue with Boothill. Trailblaze is fundamentally a Path which necessitates mystery and a feeling of wonder. Akivili's existence was in this way contradictory, because with Akivili the Trailblaze on the train THEIR choice would undoubtedly become the right choice for the trailblazers. How would it be trailblazing if you end up following an existence which would always be right? So, THEY disappeared. Whether that was by design remains unclear at the moment.

Ya know after completing penacony ive been wondering. Could pompom be a memetic entity like blackswan. Like everybody says they dont feel like pompom was there before but they remember them being there quite clearly. There's a lot of stuff we see in Penacony - such as when we use the one memory bubble, we assume the place of Akavili - plus Akavili is speaking to Pompom, which would imply they aren't the same person. Before the latest patch, I wouldn't take much head into the MC -> Akavili since the evidence supporting that could support them becoming "any" Aeon or Emanator. That evidence being it's clear, between lines with Kafka and other characters, that the MC had some sort of "past life" before being reborn by Kafka. But the latest patch really does push the idea that the MC is inheriting a lot of the legacies of Trailblazing, both physically and metaphysically. And the fact that the MC is really pushed in Elios script to be "the" Hero, not just "a" hero amongst the Nameless, is quite interesting because - as the nickname for Trailblazers implies, they are Nameless. But Who wasn't nameless? Akavili, and now the MC.

eh, consider the only one who seems to has the closet tie to Akivili so far is Himeko(being her and the train). She revived the faction BY HERSELF. that alone should have qualified her as Emanator of Trailblaze, but I'd love to have them go further and make her the first mortal on-screen in the game ascend and become Aeon of Trailblaze.

Am I the only one seeing a connection between the Trailblazer and the Cocoon of Finality? As we journey through the worlds we collect new paths like pokemon. Our end goal will be to be blessed by all paths. Isn't that kind of exactly how Kiana in Hi3 gained the authority of Finality? While with Kiana it was Mei with the power of Origin who helped her collect all other Herrscher authorities, with the Trailblazer it's the Stellaron Hunters who use the script to get the Trailblazer in the needed circumstances. Both Mei and the Stellaron Hunters in some ways tried to manipulate fate. And I think that's how the Stellaron Hunters expect us to end The Destruction, by becoming more powerful.

Lets talk about what i gather then. I am amazed that the actual theory cooked within the game is absent with akivili killed by nanook as many character in hsr hinting at. Granted it is most likely red herring. Now kets move the the point. 1.Path of trailblazing had some skeleton in their closet with its members being an actual space pirates and smuggler. You can find said pirate trailblazer as npc in penacony. 2. Redundancy theory make no sense since there is a lot more unknown place in hsr. Also with the fact that the rail system in hsr are often broken for example by stelaron activation in jarilo 6 as well as destroyed by nanook. 3. Qlipoth are involved in coalition againts swarm but the credit was not his alone. 4. Long do not disapoear but instead split into Vidiyadrha. Which is why those race are reffered as long successor. Not to mention Propagation exist due tayzeroth filling the the void.

My headcanon is that he might've actually felt like he fulfilled his life's meaning, to "trailblaze" which he then disappeared Which in the wiki it said He had an accident, maybe that "accident" was him not realizing that completing his life's meaning will also mean he'll cease to exist

It'd be funny if Aether and Lumine would be somewhat connected to Akivili exiting Honkai Star Rail realm. I could totally see Aether and Lumine being on path of Trailblazing visiting other worlds and whatnot. Remember how Aether's VA often used "leave it to me" as traveler's typical catchphrase during early Genshin's special programs. Helping others , adventuring, exploring new worlds was probably main objective before sibling went missing. To be honest I don't think this is what they are going for but it's funny thought to me.

i actually have a theory, i believe as you have said Akivili has found the end and thought its a prison and now trying to get out of the universe to continue the path of the trailblaze since the trailblaze cant be stopped with the limits of one universe, so i think since he cant get out, he used his powers to travel back in time and in turn became the aeon of finality. He going back to the genesis of the universe so he can get out of the universe during its birth. Another thing that might happen is that Akivili discovered something at the end n thus going back in time to stop it, cause Terminus is "An apparition that travels across the universe while murmuring a prophecy that is destined to be fulfilled." . Not only are these two aeons quite similar in the form that they both traveling, and another is they are both the most mysterious and we know very litte about them. What do you guys think?

It is mentioned the Imaginary Energy is foreign to the Imaginary Tree, and seeing the implications of "Trailblaze" and his mission to pursue the ends of existence; it is highly probable he transcended the imaginary tree itself and found the primordial chaos that gave birth to the Tree. Outer Gods from GGZ are the inhabitants of that place, perhaps. There's a theory floating around about Ferryman from Hi3 and Akivili. All in all, there's a HUGE chance the true multiverse is the multiple Imaginary Trees; as IX is the only one that mentions Multiverse, something not even Nous mentioned. Akivili is likely the true protagonist.

We never questioned it, but can an aeon go onto/travel through the imaginary tree? We know that welt was able to do that, and in doing so, got separated from the HI3 universe, so how about akivili? If we assume he isn’t dead, and no aeon seems to know where he is/have any motives to kill the most neutral aeon, where could he be? My best guess is that he accidentally hopped the world tree and is either in the sea of quantum, or a different reality. Another possibility is that like others have suggested, he has completed his journey, fading away b/c he was the personification of trailblazing. (I think this is less likely, since if that was the case, I don’t think the train would still exists, probably also fading instead of being forgotten, and the astral railway wouldn’t still exists, b/c the entireties would’ve probably dissipated by now.) I believe that Akivili is still alive, because from this perspective, the path of trailblazing doesn’t seemed to have died, with the train and our journey still going, and the faith in the trailblaze still going strong, actually starting to get stronger, which is different from the swarm where it’s aeon is 100% dead, and Ena, who’s faction still exists inside the harmony. The state of trailblazing is very similar to idrilla, and the knights of Beauty, which while sharing more of similarities: believing in their aeon, and whether she is alive or not, still marching forward. While the trailblaze paves for new paths and possibilities, keeping the aeon alive through our actions and what we have paved, while the knights try to keep their aeon’s legacy alive by doing what they think she would do. While the knights are memorializing their aeon, we’re still paving new stories, which while can be argued to be keep the aeon’s legacy alive, we’re also expanding it. This is getting kinda long, so imma just say what I’ve been getting to: during argenti’s story quest, the whole point of that quest is to talk about the possibility of idrilla dying, but the express crew also put out a possible scenarios, with beauty ever changing, Ideilla, lost the path of beauty, because like strength, the idea of beauty has changed, and the aeon couldn’t keep up, losing to the path, and the true idrilla being forgotten by her own followers. What if something like that happened to akivili? Instead of dying, he fell off the path, not because he was forgotten, but rather because he finished his goal? Or got to a state of no longer being able to trailblaze? This could explain the vacancy of the path, and why it never truly died, because the aeon never died, he just is in a state/position where he fell off the path, leaving it to time. This is all just speculation at this point, but the idea of what happened to akivili is intresting, and really, where going to have to wait for the answer to this question when it is eventually revealed in the future, but that is for the future to decide.

You touched on a theory that I’ve had for a while. That the MC is actually Elio, who wanted to become an Aeon and saw the Path of Trailblaze as their opportunity. By absorbing a Stellaron, Elio wiped their memory and lost their ability to see the future, that’s why they created the ‘script’ that the Hunters keep saying they’re following.

Mc is Akivili. Notice how in the Simulated Universe when Herta made the MC disguised as Akivili? After that, multiple Aeons have suddenly appeared before him? Similar to what's happening to him in the story, like a parallel thing. I'm theorizing that Akivili has something to do with the Stellarons as well, but I'm not sure what.

I think your last point is the correct answer. We sorta have some hints already that Akavili is somewhat alive. This comes from Pom-Pom himself when he directly confirms that the Express' Engine is powered by Akavili's heart. Now I know the Express lie dormant for sometime and Himiko fixed it up and it powered up. Now this might be a sort of loophole or even a retcon but if The Express' Engine is still running wouldn't this directly confirm that Akavili's heart is still beating? It just wouldn't make sense if he was dead and the Express' Engine still worked.

Since Trailblazer's face was seen alongside Kafka for a long time, I still think that we are Elio.

What I think happened to akavili is that they possibly had an encounter with finality if you think abt it they kinda have overlapping paths the trailblaze is all about heading to your destination while the finality is basically the end of all things or in hi3 terms finality is origin and origin is finality and since the trailblaze is abt the beginning and end of a journey this would be the reason on finality being an overlapping concept with the trailblaze buts really interesting is how the aeon of finality is all abt moving backwards in time while the trailblaze is moving forward in your journey plus the fact that Acheron knew someone at one point named frebass who is likely a Kiana exp and was a nameless who wanted to reach ix end i think

I think their disappearence is related to Nanook. If for example we are Akiviki's reborn form or later on turn into an Aeon, why we have an Steleron? Trailblaze and Destruction may have some kind of relatability.

I feel like the Trailblaze is a bit unique among the Paths. I don't think there is evidence for enough overlap with any current path that would warrant the assimilation. If you take the Trailblazing tenets "Explore, understand, establish, and connect" with the events of story and try to interpret the gameplay in a diegetic way, I get the impression that the Trailblaze is able to metaphysically connect to other paths without compromising itself... like a train terminal or a trail that weaves between others. Intersecting, but never overlapping. I think the third way for an Aeon to die is violating their Primum Mobile. If they find some way to go against their reason for existence, they cease to exist. I think this would lend credence to the idea that Akivili reached the end of the Honkai universe. There was nothing left for THEM to explore, so THEY could no longer adhere to their Primum Mobile. Whether that means they're truly dead, alive but fading, or diminished and needing to reascend, I guess only Elio knows.

The path of Trailblazing came directly from 2 sources in Honkai 3rd, Murata Himeko and the 13 Flamechasers. Himeko sacrificed herself to save Kiana, Trailblazing a path of Hope, she's the single one character most associated with Trailblazing, which is why in the HSR universe it was also Himeko who repaired Astral Express and revived the Path of Trailblaze. The 13 Flamechasers are a group of selfless individuals from a previous era who sacrificed themselves in order to Trailblaze a Path of Hope for the current era. Welt and Acheron's dialogue in 2.1 straight up talks about the final arc of Honkai 3rd about Kevin, the greatest hero of humanity who turned himself into a "villain" so that the world can be saved. Kevin asked a question: "Why do birds fly?" Some people think birds fly because they like freedom, some think because they have a dream to fly, some think they fly because they can, all these answers assume that birds have the choice and desire to fly. This question was also asked by Sunday in 2.2, it is a recurring motif alongside the "caged bluebird of happiness", which was represented by Griseo in HI3rd, Nahida in Genshin and Robin in HSR. These 2 themes question Freedom and Survival. Kevin says, no, birds fly because they have to, if they don't fly, they will die. They evolved wings so that they can escape predators, not because they have the desire to fly, it's because they have the desire to survive. He forced the world to fly, with him as Icarus leading the way, as he got closer to the Sun, the light of hope, he and his comrades burned, leaving behind a burning trail to guide the rest of humanity to hope and freedom. The 13 Flamechasers, the original Trailblazers of Honkai, as Acheron said this man is befitting the spirit of the Nameless, Trailblaze. The main aspects of Trailblazing are Hope and Sacrifice, people who follow this Path will sacrifice themselves to fight for the Freedom and Peace of the world, it is a path of selflessness and heroism. Akivili must have sacrificed themselves in order to create a hopeful future. It is a Path that doesn't end when one dies, it is a Path that will be inherited by those in the future, such as Himeko being inspired by the tales of the Trailblaze and repairing the Astral Express, continue the Path to the future. Akivili is dead, and their Path lives on in the current Nameless, continuing to save and inspire future generations.

At one point I thought March was the aeon of beauty not going to lie but I think a much better example is kind of like a shadow where the aeon remained like what if the essence of the Aeons formed a human in their place that's what I thought at that time before March Quest

Kinda a wild theory, but considering Cosmic Juggernaut (Honkai Impact 3rd) is a divine key capable of not only viewing other universes but also traveling to them. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if Akivili has similar powers to cosmic juggernaut and traveled to another universe. Who knows, maybe in a similar fashion to how they made the Silver rails to connect the planets and galaxies, they are making "Rails" to connect the universes together.

Looking on Sunday's boss fight, we basicly do know that with enought power, one can Ussurp the path and some part of the Aeon's power

I have a theory that Akivili somehow lost a lot of THEIR power, hence THEIR disappearance, which caused THEM to lay low for a very long time. Then THEY, disguised as a human like THEY used to in THEIR prime, joins the Stellaron Hunters next to Kafka. Elio knows THEIR identity because he's fucking Elio. Suddenly, Elio's script says that the Aeon of the Trailblaze will rise once again, prompting the Stellaron Hunters to construct their current plan: strip Akivili of all THEIR memories, and make THEM re-embark on a big adventurous journey to re-ignite his power of the Trailblaze. Think about it, we are on a big adventure where we encounter numerous different situations, and gain the experiences and powers of different paths, *exploring* all those mentalities, concepts, powers and ways of life. We are essentially re-learning how the HSR universe works through adventuring.

I think the MC is Akavili, and the Stellarons are part of his split/stolen power, which is why we can contain a stellaron within our chest, when that usually results in planetary disasters. EDIT: and in the Simulated Universe, the Aeons "recognize" us as Akavili, and I don't think Herta should be given "credit" for making that happen.

What if akivili is a variant of the captain that ascended to godhood and the reason he and idrila disapeared is because idrila was in a similar situation as kongming and akivili left the starrail universe to save idrila???

So the end of a railroad is called a Terminus. IMO once Akivili reached the end of the universe they became the Finality and started moving backwards through SpaceTime just like a train goes back to the start of its rail line once it finishes its journey.

This is my theory based on the bubble and databank,,It seems that before Aha and Akvili became Aeons they where part of astral express,They travelled the worlds and cause problems and maybe the prank is when they accidentally cause trouble before aha ascended,,It is said that Aha reached the end of tree but everything is pointless maybe because at some point the generation of akvili and aha fall apart, either just like march,akvili is the glue but something happens along the way,,even akvili ascend to aeonhood,he still died or the group broke apart,thats why aha blame himself about the death of Akvili and still misses him.Then when Aha ascend to aeonhood and reach the end,it is pretty much worthless to have this kind of power without his friends

I would think Akiviki just stopped traveling and trailblazing because there was no need of it. At this current time is the most peaceful it can be and people have no need to explore. Time and time again. The writer, uhum... I mean Elio. Ehem.... What I believe is that 1. Akivili is ascended. The path still remains and never erased. The train has been broken for long time. The crews travel across the galaxy. Despite Aeon ascended, the crews share their believes. Not by force (make people become trailblazer) but just spread it. Their good heroes no matter where they go. 2. Just like the path of Beauty, Permanence (the Long), and Harmony who only (seems like it) come with 1 faction. 3. Akivili and Idrila related. Just like the path of Order and Harmony. Followers of Akivili and Idrilla travel across the galaxy. They help others in need. Similar to Galaxy Ranger, but the group remains in mystery. So hard to track their location and even asked for help. I suspected Idrilla followers also (used to) consists of brave knights from unknown origin. But they work seperately. Not in groups like Trailblazer and Galaxy Ranger. Perhaps even small scale just like Stellaron Hunters. When I see Argenti come to Penacony and help Aventurine (despite being IPC lapdog), then I think Idrilla followers just like Akivili Followers. They are able to be contacted and willing to help. Most of the time, it is free service. Perhaps that is why Argenti founded in the festival. Sunday know he save Aventurine and make him the pion (fight against Trailblazer) just for a test. Both Trailblazer and Knight of Beauty is the same. Heroic and beloved people. Sunday keep telling Trailblazer to be on his side. He is not want to be Aeon or even ressurect the Aeon of Order. But, Trailblazer know it is not that good. Justice in your mind may not be the same as for others. 3. Right after these Aeons deceased, I do believe Aeon Nanook and Yaoshi born. There is no hope. No justice. Mankind is destructive. So what is the point. Nanook spread stellaron. But why the other Aeons let Nanook and his followers do it. From Acheron, Emanator of Nihility finally get the answer. It can't be undone. What must happen will coming anyway. Despite any preventive acts. Slowly but sure. Everyone will be gone in time. After Long the Permanence ascended, Yaoshi (may) exist. Yaoshi give blessing to the people in Xianzhou Luofu as their hard work and ambition for Long Life. But, it is pointless. Regardless what people try to do, it is nothing. On paper, you may reborn in new form. But people who knows you already long gone. Your feelings towards them or other people against you may change. You can't erase what already happen or turning back in time. Just like your body. 4. Aeons in Star Rail Universe may inspired from mythology Gods. They can die or ascended despite being powerful beings. Just like what it supposed to be. When you being eternal, it is nothing just like IX. I like what the Idrilla and Akivili's followers said. welp. this just an idea but, literally we really, really had big lead namely "welt" being from another universe.so to explain things we already know welt we know is the welt from hi3. that already a big lead considering that. aeon doesn't have influence to the other universe. as we all know that hi3 verse is controlled by honkai while hsr verse are the aeon. that being said, since the two series are connected we can tell that base on otto pov during his trip to imaginary tree to save kallen that. but that is where the problem lies as we all know aswell that beside to the imaginary tree there is also the "sea of quanta" . but the catch here is that, what if, while searching for the of the imaginary, discovers the sea of quanta. or rather, what if while exploring the aeon itself fall into the sea of quanta. but since both sea of quanta and imaginary tree simultaneously exist because of it's long dispute. the proposition is that, what if the aeon was lost in the of quanta instead. trapping on an different bubble universe. and there lies our next destination or rather. mission. to take back the aeon to the hsr universe.

I believe that destruction played a big part in akivili disappointing. As nanook destroyed them both path seem to be opposite build connections though out the cosmos vs its destruction and now you have the very thing of destruction within .

If I’m not mistaken, Qlipoth and Akivili have opposing ideals, right? One of Qlipoth’s goals is to isolate worlds from each other. However, Akivili wants to connect them. I have no evidence for my theory, but what if Qlipoth has something to do with their disappearance? I mean, they’ve killed an Aeon before.

I think that he did try to add the Solar System to the Star Network, however the Cocoon of Finality didn't like that and it killed Akivili. Aeons aren't the strongest beings of the Honkai universe. The cocoon of Finality,the will of the Honkai (Houkai Gakuen) and the outher gods (the strongest beings in all Honkai multiverse) are much stronger than the Aeons.

I want to believe that Pom-pom is actually a piece of Akivili (The same way that I believe Paimon is a future Archon / dormant goddess with similar power). I don't have a theory backing it, I just want it to happen.

While watching this video, i got this "head-canon wish" for the end of the story i really want to come true... So you know how genshin players want the traveler to obtain the "original" element when reaching kanri'ah... i kinda want this now to happen to the trailblazer at the end of the story... By either recieving the "blessing/gaze" of a stil alive Akivili and becoming an Emenator or straight up becomming the new aeon of trailblaze, letting us play the trailblazer with the path that they canonically follow... Allthought, this is just my "post midnight coping" which most likely will never happen :/
