This is so true for me... I was working out before we split up but I was working out to maintain my food intake.. Not that healthy... But he finished with me and now I have switched to clean eating for the last 2 weeks.... I've lost 5lb... And I will avoid contact for as long as humanly possible... This is the truest and most raw video I’ve seen you do. This taps into the law of attraction. The real brutal honest truth is when you are truly attached to those invisible tethers to another person, they feel it when you finally fully let go. Focusing on oneself is the best remedy because it becomes a win win for you. You either better yourself, or get your ex to feel the letting go and they come back... or sometimes you better yourself AND get them back. Either way... you “win”.

This is so good, this is the whole point of taking a step back, when you first get broken up with. You have to get your mind to the point to where you don’t care anymore about the outcome, and focus more on what it is that you want.

This makes a lot of sense. At tbe moment im focusing on my ex & getting her back. This neediness actually drove her away in the first place. If you are obsessed with getting your ex back then its pretty unhealthy. Firstly, you are focusing on something which might not happen so you may be setting yourself up for more disappointment. Moreover, if you get to the point your primary focus is on yourself then your ex will figure it out. The texts will cease. The neediness will cease. She"ll notice the change. It changes the dynamics.

I was told to leave him alone so he can get over me. He said he can't do it communicating with me. The funny thing is he broke up with me in June and I'm fine with it now. It's like now he is where I was in June. I was pissed off and didn't want to be friends now he's always mad and doesn't want to be friends. We were friends first 3 years prior to the relationship.

Just got my heart broken 2 days ago and I’m in extreme pain. I loved him soo much but he gave up because of the distance because nothing was progressing for a year and with no meeting. He said he waited enough but doesn’t love mean putting efforts mutually? I wish to move on but i just don’t know how😭 he’s moved on right after the break up. Hey Chris, I’ve watched a lot of your videos on avoidants cause as you guessed, my avoidant ex girlfriend dumped me. This video reached into my thinking brain cause i feel so far thru this nightmare ive been running on emotion, everything i do or watch has an element of me thinking about my ex, until i watched this video i focused on the end result rather than the process. Your message of focusing on myself hit close to home with this video, so much that it forced me to leave a comment. My question is how do you focus on yourself when you’ve been codependent for most of the relationship? When youve lost tour sense of self and now that you’ve been dumped you feel more lost than ever? I had my first meeting with my avoidant ex after nearly 1 year yesterday. And it went well at first. Then he brought up some things from the past including my accountability letter. It seems he felt like I was a crisis moment after our break up to the point he felt like I could do something drastic over the break up which gave him panic attacks post the break up. He has lost friends due to suicide a lot so it is immediately where his mind goes. We had a heart to heart conversation recently which got me this meeting. But I got a little drunk and we got a little intimate and kissed. But he was not too happy with PDA and wanted me to stop because he was feeling sexually frustrated as we moved further and further into it, as we were in public (we both dont live alone and getting a place would be pushing it.). Me being drunk, I did back off for a bit but was still from time to time being touchy feely and playful. Which he enjoyed bt also felt frustrated about. We talked about going somewhere more private but halfway through he changed his mind and said he felt like I still am like before where I don't fully listen to his needs bringing back up the PDA point and said that we were probably not meant to be because this shit wouldn't have worked out anyway. I felt like he was being harsh because he was frustrated with babysitting me being drunk and horny. I genuinely felt like the whole night he talked about the past and his life and relationships so much. I came with a more casual mindset but ended up being drunk and a little slutty if I may. I guess I was trying to salvage the night with some playful fun moments after. But now I do regret coming on a little strong because while he kissed me he was clearly not ready for more PDA. But to be fair he was also giving me a lot of mixed signals. He left for home halfway through us going to a secluded place. I texted and apologised for coming on too strong. He said "Me too. No stress!" Knowing him, he's probably freaked out. Its his bday in a week. I'll wish him. But I'm scared he won't meet me again anytime soon because I pushed things too fast. I hope I didn't screw it up to the point of no return! Someone please advice! (I'm not sure if I'm ready to move on yet. Don't want this drunken mistake to be how it all ends.)

Hi Chris! Me and my ex broke up about 10 days ago and she said she didn't know what she wanted so we broke up as I tried to tell her she was running from her issues. She texts my friend on Day 6 saying she doesn't want me that I don't make her happy. Told me before dumbing me we wasn't compatible. How long should I do no contact on her? Also she has blocked me on everything from social media to even a phone call.

I found another potential partner. Although its only early days I reckon she's much more suitable. I bet my ex starts to chase me once I avoid her as she'll be upset. I know she is fond of me.
