Can confirm this. Played P3 Nova lately. With mastered damage for her abilities she can oneshot almost any infested buildings. Also add 2.45 minutes Nuke cooldown (with 30 masteries invested). You can just chill at the base with your armies and snipe bonus obj on night 3 with Griffin Airlift. Damn, I like P3 on her so much.
that cheese works for rifts of korhal too. dead of night, if you push it, you can kill every building on the map alone by the end of night 2 (maybe 30 seconds into day 3 if you mismanaged something). her P3 is the only one i immediately beelined. i only in the last couple days grabbed Kerrigan's P3. i'm glad they changed her P1 to allow use of siege tanks if you build factory first. her P2 has no redeeming qualities to me, as someone who spams the hell out of airstrike
@@prealtezeratul1133 it's more or less normal Nova, but you can dive deeper with her for high value targets. Though if you don't have decent mastery some bigger units like aberrations may survive a sabotage drone or snipe. And so long as she's got a good chunk of her health, you can get away with brief decloaks to take pot shots at chunkier enemies, or even bum bait them onto a sabotage drone. I recommend her healing research for that purpose
I wish blizzard added the option to change prestige at the start of the mission. Many prestiges are useful in specific scenarios but no so much on others
yea... you ever get caught with P3 nova on Temple of the Past, you will know what pain is. i'd even take it if it was only the option to revert to the baseline commander (you can't change to another prestige). if you get P3 nova on Miner Evacuation, the loss of the shotgun is brutal early in the level
RE Ghosts when playing as Nova: with the triple tap upgrade four to six of them will one shot hybrids. They are also really good when the enemy is Zerg. Otherwise, they really aren't worth running. For the bio prestige you really want to stack Marines due to their advanced stimpack, and then run like 8 marauders.
Ghosts are good against protoss, too. The EMP really helps against mech/archon Protoss and the caster hybrids, and the snipe thins out zealots and stalkers.
I felt like you was not giving bio it's justice. Ravens are the true support for it, and if you are careful enough to never lose a single raven, their turrets and heals enable otherwise kinda squishy bio to perform well. Simple raven marine marauder + occasional hellbat are a good comp with simple enough control. You still get mech units, no need to ignore them :)
The cooldown for ravens is much longer with the prestige, and it seems kinda like cheating if I use mech units in a prestige that's supposed to highlight bio. Plus we have other people here with conflicting matter-of-fact-sounding suggestions like "just add more bio" even though I'm already dropping them down as I get money for them. I do my best to make whatever it is that the prestige calls for work, and I think it's really just obvious that mech is the superior composition for Nova because even bio needs mech.
@@CtG-Games What, getting ravens is cheating? lol. The prestige increases the cooldown so you cant spam them and mass them, that doesn't mean you shouldn't get a few mech units for support, like ravens, a couple tanks or even goliaths for the stun.
Him not able to bio properly should not be our concern. He cheated to get his prestiges leveled (abusing cradle) and now has no clue how to open the strategies, then calls using a raven cheating. He is clearly missing a few marks.
Infiltration specialist is good, among other things, for clearing out hard areas before attacking or getting vision for your ally deep in enemy territory. Running an army just behind her leads to really safe and efficient clears of areas and in many cases can allow your army to be more flexible on the map so they can deal with adds while Nova tears apart the enemy base. You need good micro for infiltration specialist as splitting your attention between her, early macro, and your army are vital to maximizing success.
i tend to use her to soften a target with a sabotage drone, then just clear whats left with her, or have my ally do it. i have a tendency to not have a big army until it's needed, in the hopes that i keep my supply clear until i need the unit, so i don't get locked with a bioball, but actually i needed liberators and siege tanks to shut down a heavy hybrid wave
i wasn't impressed with P1 nova when they first came out. with the later rework for it to choose the first building you make (they lose tech restrictions), you can absolutely have a goliath/tank ball and rip through. even though P2 got buffed, i still don't like it, but thats coming from someone who leans a lot on the airstrike, while rarely needing the mobility. P3 is hands down my favorite tho. my favorite way to describe is is "your sabotage drone becomes a nuke, and your usual nuke becomes the size of your screen"
Huh. Soldier of Fortune is different now. The units from the first production building you build train faster, and others slower, so you can actually use it to focus on mech or air... that's a pretty big change and I'd be interested to see how you use that now.
I think that the 1st prestige of Nova is more of a fast deployment type prestige, not really forcing you to a bottleneck of using BIO, I think it would work good in small maps if you want a max army with a complement of MECH.
Infiltration specialist seems like the most fun. I know you hate Dead of Night, but it's one of my favorite maps, so having her hard counter it so ridiculously looks hilariously fun. Also, the cheese potential! It's definitely one I'll have tons of fun with.

I love the WhiteRa voice pack, literally the first time I've ever used one. I'm a Protoss player, so Papa Ra is a must. He's absolutely hard to understand, lol, but I still use it because I'm pretty sure it's a requirement.
White Ra announcer is... Interesting. I wouldn't use it, personally but I haven't got much issue understanding it, I think. Don't worry about your accent. It's noticable but you're VERY understandable compared to some people I've heard attempt to speak English lol
Its funny cause I prefer her Bio build but the 50% increased time sucks cause I like having 3 or more Ravens as their abilities are amazing for any army. If you focus on a mostly Ghost army their auto cast snipe turns some Hybrid waves into "pew pew" your dead instantly. Maybe sprinkle in some Marines with Stim as more meat and general DPS an your good. Its an easy F2 A move army. Don't use her mech as often simply cause it requires more work putting units in siege or lib mode. They are strong but I just prefer a more mobile army.
Nova P3 could just solo most missions. With swan laser the cheese would be rediculous. Dead of night you can just defend and spam sabotage drones. Any of the attacking missions will be a cake walk. Just walk to the objective area and blow the defenders up without ever being detected. Probably only missions its not worth it would be the defensive ones. Miner evac, void launch, temple. oblivion express, if you time the drone or air strikes you can blow up the whole spawn. Just need ally to kill the train.
You need a mike. Can never make out what you're saying because of the echo and deep voice. I don't use nova bio because storm absolutely melts her whole army and shield drone doesn't do shit with storm. But damn his nova micro is impressive. The bot went heavy immortal this time so you can pull off bio but in brutal or higher toss usually comes out with 20 storms every fight. I've lost Novas whole army in 3 seconds several times when trying her bio. That second map is the hardest one to do with Nova brutal or higher as well.
There's currently a holiday bonus. Spamming hard til your recommended commander is at sufficient level to brutal is good enough. Within a week you could prestige 3 one or two commanders.

Dropping 2 maru into a group of 6 immortals then complaining about bio. Using ghosts against carriers and Collosi and complaining about bio. The prestige is supposed to allow you to spam more of them. More marines more maru, more ghosts. Its not meant as much as a "dont lose units strat" or "focus on microing abilities"
Notice that I never had resources to call down "more marines more maru more ghosts" because I was constantly making them and still it clearly wasn't enough. Didn't you see how big a difference it makes once I switch over to mech where I don't actually lose my units? Mech is clearly superior since you have the ability to either deal big damage with liberators or goliaths, or splash damage with siege tank spidermines. Bio is really just limited with what you can do with it.

You were floating enough resources to spam revive nova(which wouldnt have happened if you werent greedy with a nuke and used snipe instead) and Griffon Air Strike. You also spammed more ghosts than you had marines and maru. Which ghosts are a support unit, not meant to be the backbone of an army as much fun as that would be. For every ghost calldown you have, you could have 4 maru or 8 marines. Which are much better at killing collosi, carriers, and immortals. At min 12 you have 4k minerals worth of ghosts. And they could barely kill off 6 immortals. What @Charlie Awerbuch said as well. Ghost snipe can only be used against bio. And Mech Protoss doesnt have much bio. Thats like if I went trooper army vs baneling zerg and said troopers were bad because of it.
Not sure if it's just me but Nova prestiges feel like the most uninspired out of all the prestiges. They kinda barely change her. The barrack unit prestige is probably the most significant but still not much of a change in playstyle.

Iirc, you can cheese the first Void Sliver on Rifts of Korhal with a 78+ Mastery Karax and quitting the mission after that gets you decent experience. May have been a different mission, though.
I think Nova has the lamest set of Prestiges which is kinda sad because I feel there was a lot of potential to make an interesting Nova prestige and I felt like she especially could have used some good prestiges because her playstyle can feel a bit stale.
