LEVELLERS have so many great tracks spanning 30+years. One of my favourite tracks is ELATION. Its very different to 'what you know'. I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
The Levellers are a political band from Brighton, UK and the lyrics are right but its more about not fitting in. The levellers are like an old friend, i have seen them more than a few times over the past 30 years. Their whole gigs are like this. Their albums are great but live versions are much better. I have requested Dirty Davey in the past their big songs are One Way, Liberty, Battle of the beanfield and beautiful Day. The do a really good cover of Devil went Down to Georgia as well.
I love their music, agree with few of their political messages in their lyrics but that doesn't matter to me. The make great music and are a class apart live. Been a fan for 30 years.
@@oli19 snap. Since a weapon called the world came out. That's why I recommended live version. They are something else live. It's where my username on insta comes from Marcos, Levmania. Levellers gets shortened to levs. Lev mania love levs lol.
@@levmania I also loved their cover of English Civil War at Glastonbury. Recorded it on my mam and dad's old VHS. Played the tape till it got chewed and had to wait 25 years for RU-vid to be invented to see it again. There was a bit of a following in my local and was always playing on the jukebox. Good times. Remember dancing around the pool table drunk as, to Devil Went Down to Geogia. Great cover.
@@oli19 did you catch the live Glastonbury concert they put on RU-vid for a few days last year? The first gig I saw them at only tickets were seated on balcony. Everyone was up dancing though and you could feel balcony sway lol. They band rock bands playing there for couple years till balcony was fixed.
@@levmania No I didn't. I had one of their video's years back which was like a tour video. To be fair it saddens me a bit to see them age, but that's the same with a lot of bands I loved in the 90s. You should try Flogging Molly if you haven't already.
