LEVELOK BRACKET LINK: amzn.to/2eCZicZ Werner 16' Ladder Link: homedepot.sjv.io/c/1241924/45... Check out my video review on the LeveLok Standout Brackets.
Great review…I wish I had this when painted my house! On a positive note, painting my house without this built my faith because I prayed the entire time I was on the ladder! 😂😂😂
I bought these long at the insistence of a Friend. I thought they were nonsense, they sat in my truck for years. I used them once a few summers ago, and now I never use the 24',28' or 32' ladder without them. Fantastic product.
Simple and effective. Probably a good choice for most people. Would be nice to have adjustable stand-off distance but I have yet to find such a product. I will probably end up building one.
I used to have one made by Little Giant. It had a wide span for going around windows. It accidentally got ran over by my tractor😣. THe LeveLok is better for going on roofs, in my opinion. Less wear on shingles after several up and down trips on the roof.
I love my level lok system. I ordered mine for window cleaning and they work very well. They stay tight in my ladder and guarantee not to scratch the siding or the shingles when cleaning gutters.
i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Cody Jasper thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nice design. It would be useful to know the standoff distance it provides. It does not look long enough to clear the gutters if you want to lean the ladder against the wall and have the top of the ladder above the gutter so you can then stand above your gutters to clean them. (Edit: just saw it on the product spec - 12 inches - just too short for my soffet / gutter which is 13 inches)
You sound very resourceful. The thing I like about the Levelok standout is that it locks tight into the ladder, with no chance of wiggling around or allowing the ladder to twist.
Trying to decide between this system or the Werner AC78. This Levelok seems so lo-tech and almost flimsy. But, it gets good reviews and seems to work good. Often the k i s s is the way to go. And lighter is an advantage. What do you think about Levelok clearing gutters on a 3/12 pitch roof? And, using it with a tile roof? Also, the newer version supports 300 lbs. You mentioned yours is 250 lbs.
I haven't tried the Werner standouts yet. That would make a good review. I have tried the Little Giant standout, which is similar to the Werner. I found they both work well. I feel that the Levelok is easier on the shingles and not as heavy, making the ladder easier to handle and set up. The silicone sleeves don't rub the shingles as much when going up and down. The Werner is wider, making it a better choice if you're going to clean windows too. The Levelok never felt flimsy to me and makes for a secure way to get on a roof. Hope that helps.
@@MarkThomasBuilder what pitch is your roof? I received the Werner and the ladder has to be extended two rungs when installed. The ladder can not be retracted all the way rendering it useless in the shortest position. In other words, my 20 ft, 2 ten ft extensions, can be used only as a 12 ft ladder or longer.
I don't think it will work. It needs holes in the side of the ladder to attach to. Little Giant makes their own standoff which works well with their ladders.
I have one of the original Little Giant Ladders and I just tried sliding the outer sleeve up, which exposed the holes on the inner ladder. The Standout didn't fit inside the holes. I posted a gutter cleaning video showing the Little Giant Standout. It's a little different looking than this one, but works well.
If you're going on a 2nd level and have an extension ladder, you may need a second person to help lift the ladder and get it in place. It gets top heavy with this up there and you won't want to use it on a windy day.
I think it's possible to have them the last section and still able to fold it. I always take the brackets out when storing any of my ladders I'm using.
If it saves you from falling, it's worth the money. I've found these standout brackets to be the easiest on the shingles. I tried another brand and it rubs the shingles a little much.
