It might be exhausting and frustrating sometimes, but when your son stood beside you to say good morning, your face lightened immediately and I could see how deeply proud you are of him. I think all relationships are exhausting and it doesn't matter if they are "special" or not. God bless and chin up...you have a lot to be proud of...

I've got a disabled 'child' who will be 37 years old in a month. My heart goes out to you. As a parent of special needs children, the emotional toll it can take on us is more than we can handle on some days. Kim, from one special needs parent to another, you are doing an amazing job with Levi. You are an inspiration to each of us. We love you and Levi.

The love you have for Levi shows in your eyes. He’s a very sweet young man, but he also has bad days due to his disability and I don’t think he ever wants to disappoint you but it happens. As we age, our patience seems to dwindle and that’s normal also. You’re a wonderful loving mother and my prayers are with you for God to grant you the strength and patience you need in times like this. 🙏❤️🥰💖💕

Kim, my mom snores terribly. When my dad was alive (he passed about 3 years ago), I would ask daddy how he tolerated mom's snoring. He told me, "it's the most peaceful sound in the world to me. When I hear her snoring, I know that everything is alright. " I'll never forget this. It always brings me to tears when I think about it. To love someone that much.....what a lesson in unconditional love!!! Have a most blessed day!

I can’t imagine how hard it is, but it’s okay to get frustrated and at your wits end!! But I hope talking to a bunch of strangers help you. I know you probably have some haters or rude people, but it seems for the most part, you have a good group of followers. Kim, it’s been said that God doesn’t put more on you than He knows you can handle. Obviously, He knows you’re a strong woman and you have the ability to love and properly care for a child like Levi. That doesn’t mean it will always be easy, of course. I’d bet you put Levi’s needs first, but you need to remember how important self-care and de-stressing is, also. Much love to you and Levi ❤️💙

I understand your frustration Kim...my husband is Autistic...he has ADHD, Asperger's, Aggression and Defiance and had a pretty rough time (and still does) but it has improved significantly since we met 15 yrs ago and most times I can calm him just with a pat on his arm or leg but it doesn't always work. We are both in our 60s and just got married 4 yrs ago. I love him to death but it is very hard. One of the toughest things is the total lack of empathy and appreciation that you get from someone with that condition. Every day is tough still. He also leaves everything where he drops it and it doesn't even dawn on him to help out. So hugs to you and hugs to Levi...He is sweet. ♥

Kim don't ever question your ability as a mother. You are one amazing mother and such a strong woman. You have done a wonderful job raising Levi. A lot of parents with autistic children don't take the time to raise them properly because it takes so much more work to teach them right from wrong and they just spoil them and let them have their own way until they turn into little tyrants. You chose the harder path to raise him the way he should be raised. Levi is a wonderful young man. Levi is lucky that you are the one who is his Mother. I believe God gave him to you because he knew what a wonderful job you would do. Blessings on you and your family.

We always thought when we got older life would be easier but that doesn’t always work out. Everyone needs time to themselves just for their mental well being and I was wondering if one of your other kids could have him over for an afternoon now and than. They could even alternate just to help you out since you do so much for them. I know as a parent we hate to ask our kids for anything but…. Sometimes it’s necessary. Possibly when GiGi feels better he could hang out with her for awhile just to give you a break. It’s hard to admit parenting can be hard and I’m glad you feel you can share even your hard days. ❤️

Kim, you're doing a great job! 👍🌟 Something to keep in mind when you're not feeling right is this analogy: airplanes have directions in case of the plane possibly crashing - grab the oxygen mask for yourself before you go to help others. Don't forget to take care of yourself and your needs. Don't be afraid to ask family to give you a break, and make it a scheduled or regular thing so you can unwind and have the strength to take care of your beautiful son. If family can't take a moment see if Levi's healthcare or a local organization has caregiving/respite help so you can get a much needed break. Hang in there Kim, one day at a time. Loving your videos and you sharing your life. ❤

I think it would be great for you to get respite care for you/Levi. You need some time to just shut down and relax, chill or just take a bubble bath, shave your legs, cry, breathe or just take walk(when the weather is nicer). It sounds like you are on "overload". Maybe ask Levi's doctor for ideas. Even maybe his nurses ( sorry but females understand Moms better). How about checking with you church for ideas. It doesn't make you weak to ask for help....it shows you are human! Does Levi have a lot of sugar and/or caffeine before bed?

I'm finding out currently. You are in every right to have days that you have to vent. When sending him gifts ppl need to understand it will cause problem's too. Anyways you are so amazing. When I say sending things will cause problem's is me saying bc he will get on your nerves bc he will want the things sent and can use them wrong. I'm not at all saying not to send THING'S. Trust me I know. My daughter gets things and can drive me nuts with the demands of the item. I do know you are a woman of many talents. You need breaks too. You're a very good mom, Kim. You deserve a carb day once in a while, 🥰

He loves his mama and Kim I agree it is a daily challenge and it is harder when they get older because as Levi says he knows right from wrong, but he still needs to test the water and find his path to the best of his ability. It is good he knows that there are consequences. You really have done a great job. Have those carbs and you’re cappuccino you deserve it

Kim it’s so hard the older they get. My daughter has a lot of issues as well. You are doing a great job with Levi but please keep in mind that you have to look after yourself as well. I only found this out after getting sick myself. So try making time for yourself at least twice a week you need that for your own sanity. I know it’s a hard thing to do but you will really benefit from it.

Bless you Kim. Your morning version of monkey bread looks delicious. Nothing wrong with sleeping in separate beds I got married at 19 and I’m now 72 and we have slept in different beds for years. I am a restless sleeper and my hubby snores better sleep when we sleep separately. Have a good day.

Levi does seem very high functioning. He is a sweetheart, but I know he can be a handful! You have to have so much patience. I will be praying for you always! 🙏❤️🙏

Kim you are a strong and admirable woman. I hope you enjoyed your carbs and cappuccino. I have been enjoying your recipes and am definitely trying this monkey bread. It looks delicious and is simple to make. Levi had me laughing, talking about getting popped with a spoon. God Bless you both 🙏.

Bless you, Kim. I wish you had a part time day placement for Levi so you get a break. It has to be very hard. But I see your love for him in your face.

My parents slept in separate rooms for the last few years before my Dad passed in August. It's ok. It's about rest and comfort. My Dad snored too. Like a train. It's about their comfort. Nothing wrong with that. I quit letting my dog sleep with me too. She snored, passed gas, hogged the bed and couldn't keep her paws off me. It was like sleeping with my ex husband. As you get older, you need to get rest. Luv you guys. Take care. I love all of your videos. All of your food looks delicious.

Now I know why I never remarried. I am a young 68 and think it's because I never married again.

@@janetbuck1144 I'm 52. Don't plan on getting remarried either. I like the freedom. Guess I never found the right guy. Oh, well. I'm ok with it.

Your are a great parent and inspiration to all of us. Some days are harder than others, don’t question your your ability to be a great mom, because you are. I know the feeling very well. I’m 59 years old and I have been raising my autistic grandson since he was 9 months old he is now 14 and he such a blessing… some days I ask the great Lord to give me the strength. Bless you and Levi.🙏🏽

You are such a wonderful mother and raising Levi I'm sure is a challenge but when he's standing beside you, you literally glow from the love you have for him. Your take on the monkey bread was wonderful (yes I had to give it a try) and so easy. Better than traditional monkey bread.
