Thank you for this video, I have been wearing Zara Skinnies since I was 14 and now I really wanna invest in a pair of levis that are baggier thank you all shops are closed and this really helps out which kind of levis jeans I want!!
Thanks! The thing with the 501s and 505s are that while they're coming back in style, they just don't look as smart when you're aiming for a smart-casual look which is pretty much my all day look. The 511s accomplish that brilliantly, without hugging the calves (ugh) like you correctly mentioned about skinnies. Yet, even the 511s kinda hug the calves a lil bit, but they're the best option right now to aim for a smart casual look.
I think for most people that are new to menswear or modern jean cut's, slim fit jean's are a good place to start and go from there to see if you need more or less room in the thighs or below the knee and leg opening for bulkier shoes/boots. I think men will find they will actually start to feel more comfortable in modern cut jean's and look more stylish after finally making the leap from 90s style Jean's to a modern cut. Extra fabric can add weight to the frame and make you appear smaller/shorter while a more tailored fit can make you look taller and leaner and flatter the body. Modern cut Jean's that fit well can really change the look of an outfit and can be a best first step for men to take when first getting started in menswear.
Only use 501s and 505s and tbh 505s are better for a baggy look and if you’re going to wear boots “timbs” I’d wear them with 505s but 501 look good with like white af1s etc
@@WhatsTheHype.Landon I wish I did, I held on to the Jordan’s for a very long time. I had no idea they would become so popular. I actually got them the first year they came out, red and blacks, a friends sold me an extra pair, they felt so good I used them for skateboarding for a long time, used to tape them up with duct tape, a trick we used to use to make shoes last so the grip tape wouldn’t eat them. I used to get stopped by people all the time and ask about them
I love this video so much trying to get into levis and trying different types of jeans because recently i got into skating, really wanted to see how it looks in person do you know what to look for to get 511s for cheap? i want to take advantage of black friday
@@WhatsTheHype.Landon hey do you know what exact wash is fhat 505? love that specific wash you have but im tripping whether its the stretch light wash or the 505 original light wash
I'm somewhere between 6'1 and 6'2 and have a musclar build I prefer the 505 I've worn the 501s for years but ever since I tried the 505s that's the only Jean for me
@@WhatsTheHype.Landon im new to 501s and these types of pants and im afraid of getting a pair of them my size but then they are gonna be like really baggy
I like black Levi’s I have them but they get faded I just got some true religion single stitch yesterday and they nice I have the white Levi’s there nice but I rock them less because I’m scared to get them dirt but overall there nice same with the 501s
You’re a 32X30 at 160-170 lbs? I’m 6’0” 180 and wear a 32X30 just fine, I also have a shorter inseam for my height, I would think you’re more of a 30-31 for waist size since I remember cutting down to 171 lbs and fitting into some 30s with stretch.
@@WhatsTheHype.Landon I like how the 501s look on you, the 505s look a bit baggy from the knee to the ankle, it seems like the 501 is between the 505 and 511. You ever looked into 502s? Pretty much a tapered 505.
@@WhatsTheHype.Landon I’m mostly a 511 and 502 guy, but I also like 505s and 501s, this year since the pandemic shut down gyms and made working out indoors a hassle, I’ve taken up running and other workouts outdoors, I ended up building a lot of muscle in my legs, and even the 502s are getting tight, might need to step it up to 541 athletic fit which is pretty much a relaxed tapered.
True that... Do you thing bro. Leave the skinnies to the beautiful girls, unless you think you're a beautiful girl yourself than go for it. I don't understand the whole bad 50's, slick back hair, show your shin look either. Reminds me of goodwill, pass me down from your stubby brother and If their skinny ones, then you were messing around in your sisters closets if you know what I mean. Lol
@@siddharthavatsya5263 the truth is most of society are followers that are highly influenced by the media. All you have to do is pay a celebrity to wear it and the followers will follow. If you can't find the 514, try the 550 or 559 with one size down. I swear the 559 if I'm wearing beefy sneakers or boots.
Yo man I’m 13 all my friends have og 501 in there size and I can’t find em anywhere it’s alright if you can’t answer but if you could where do you get em from or are they altered.
My first pair was from the mall on sale for a good price. If you haven’t worn 501s before might be a good idea to go to the mall to try a new pair before looking for a vintage pair. They should have lots of sizes at a store like Macy’s or JC Penney’s👍
I’m 6ft 180 lbs and also wear a 30 inseam for the most part, my torso is longer. What I find interesting is that he’s a 32X30 at 160-170 lbs, I’m around 180 and wear a 32x30, and it’s not tight on me, this guy has to be a 30-31, but maybe he likes them loose or something.
@@WhatsTheHype.Landon i prefer baggy fit if the body type big, it looks better on my opinion. It looks better also if you are wearing bulky shoes. I just prefer 511 myself because i feel comfortable wearing it pairing with low cut shoes. Also my body is slim with 5'5" height. The thighs just fit perfectly on me.
dear plz help me I always purchase 511 and 512 in 32 size but in India 501 is not available in stores so I purchase online but confused about which size to order please suggest which size I order 32 or 34 waist size
