levy already answered this one year ago ian is more of a proper chess player kind of guy he even made fun of pogchamps ; i don't believe he thinks highly of gotham
@@nostalgicdouchebag1912 these super gm's grow up their entire lives with people calling them genius prodigy etc since they were like 10 years old ; it must get to your head a little bit (even though i am not saying this for ian he is humble)
He does it even in classical, and he plays so accurately even though he is playing quickly, he must be calculating 20 move sequences in like 5 seconds!
@@EliteCubingAlliance that is also he's weakness back then he plays fast that he can overlooked something Good thing he fix that problem in the recent candidates he now takes time in critical position
@@giovannitigalo7011 He plays fast in the middle and endgame too. It's not just memorizing, Nepo's calculation has said to been really quick by most of his peers.
@@Ilnur_Vhe said "Nepomnichi". Now I'm a total noob when it comes to chess and especially all the super GM names and their pronunciation, but judging by how it's spelled in Latin alphabet, my ear tells me he ate at least one syllable 😂. Probably stress.
Levy played very accurately, he should be pleased. No blunders and all good moves, one of the best games I've seen him play and definitely, obviously GM strength. Man I do not feel that Blitz timeframe, I'm rapid and classical for life.
@@BroomieHERE I meant he's as good as keeping up with the GMs and can do much better if he doesn't lose his shit after seeing who he is playing against.
@@anujshastri1458levy has made a built in excuse for losing that all of his fans blindly accept. he loses to players who are better than him like every one else, but levy only does this because hes nervous lmao
@@Tburt-mx5kg seriously dude,i feel like im living in the land of delusion. "Levy is as good as GMs" these guys are so funny. As you said, the excuses are only valid for him. Well then im good enough to be 2500 lichess blitz but because i get nervous i only play at a 2100 level max
This always happens with me .I am a 2200 and when i see a 2300-2400 I got too scared but then get a winning position and then I blunder in endagame or lose on time .thats very heart breaking
I swear if Levy didn't put so much pressure on himself when playing these top GMs he'd give all of them a run for their money EDIT: yes, "average GMs" would've been a more accurate statement. Although he has given tough games to super GMs on several occasions (including Magnus)
@@strategicsage7694i mean levy is a IM so he still one of the best on the worlds probably just exist around 3.000 people righer rated than him and only because he is retired whereas he would be higher
@@strategicsage7694 It's not really that simple IMO. Levy has said himself that his anxiety/nerves are a huge issue. Part of the reason *why* he can't consistently challenge GMs is because of that. Unironically, if he could get past his mental blocks, I could 100% see him standing up to Nepo. Maybe not beat him in a tournament since like you said the gap is still insane, but definitely go toe-to-toe.
Levy, I noticed a RU-vid channel on the platform which makes shorts about chess, but they use all of your clips and don't give you credit, I hope you know about this already.
he knows and talked about it in a recent video as well that he doesn't mind because the people watching that content will eventually find this channel too
Listen people, just cool it on the GM talk. 2706 is rock-solid, Levy is known, liked and respected by the world's top players. IM is actually a huge accomplishment in chess, if you don't think so, try it and let YT know how it goes. I have played this game for over 40 years casually and it will be a serious project to get CM. Levy has explained the situation thoroughly, eloquently and reasonably in multiple videos. There are plenty of examples of Levy playing at GM strength, this is well-proven. GothamChess is probably the best chess channel on YT, as a chess coach I find it an excellent and valuable resource. It's one of the reasons I got back into chess seriously and I will be taking those chessly courses. I'll see you fellow Gotham watchers at tournaments, be ready.
Levy before the game: "I tried to send a message to God His phone don't take texts" Levy after the game: "There's hell to pay, but The devil don't take checks"
@@juliusseizure591 Maybe not, where he ranks all time is not something anyone can say with confidence, which is why I used the word "may". He currently has the 3rd highest ELO among active players, which includes someone who most people agree is the best of all time. He has also twice in the last two years steamrolled through a candidates tournament. Since it is impossible to bring Kasparov, Vishy, Karpov, Fischer etc into their prime to play him right now we will never know, and while ELO is a great objective metric for players who are contemporary, it does not let us compare vs players in the past very well. Anyway, while I disagree with any confident assertion as to where he should stand in all time ranking I would be interested in seeing the 20 players who you think are better, for sure. Thanks!
God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). We’re not sinners because we sin, but rather we sin because we’re sinners. Sin is the nature of our flesh that we are born with due to the sin of Adam in the garden. For someone to be justified before God they have to be sinless. We’ve all sinned (Romans 3:23), and the the law demands death for those who sin (Romans 6:23). God is righteous, so He must punish our sin, which is what He did through His Son Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus is Holy and sinless, yet He received our sin when He died on the cross, so that we can be righteous before God (2 Corinthians 5:21). When He died on the cross, He said “It is finished” (John 19:30), which means He paid the full price for all of your sins (past, present, and future) to be forgiven. He was buried and rose again from the dead. God will forgive anybody who puts their full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We aren’t saved based on our good deeds, but only by the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). His precious blood that He shed is the only reason why we can be forgiven of our sins (Hebrews 9:22). If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, then you’ll be saved (Romans 10:9). You are born-again with the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and are not only legally justified before God, but also are accredited His righteous (Romans 4:24). Believers live for Christ now, so get to know Him through His Word. I recommend reading the book of Romans and the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and watching Pastor Joseph Prince’s online sermons!
Levy, I’m begging you to take a break from videos and focus on becoming a GM. It’ll make you much more credible. Make something of yourself and don’t take the easy way out
Is this a pin of Shame bait? The dude is an IM and makes more money making videos Than he ever would as a low ranked GM. He has more than made something of himself 😅.
He's already an IM and makes more from videos and streaming than he could ever hope to make from tournaments, it literally doesn't make any sense to take a break from all that just to put an the effort required to get him a title that will not impact him in any significant way.
