Lewis Hamilton grabs his 90th career pole, pipping his Mercedes team mate in Hungary. For more F1® videos, visit www.Formula1.com Follow F1®: / f1 / formula1 / f1 / formula1 / f1 #F1 #HungarianGP
I was watching carefully but basically he doesn't have to make corrections, the car is that solid, this is insanity. Skills and technical perfection combined. Doesn't get much better than this.
Look, in the eras of Senna, schumi up until 2012, there were always dominant cars. A team has always dominated the sport. What makes it interesting is the rivalry. The presence of a rival makes it more interesting. U say uninteresting, but the 2016 season was like a fucking movie! Lewis needs a worthy rival. I wanted seb to be that, but leave it to ferrari🤷🤷
say what you want about Mercedes, but they are simply too good. No other car looks even remotely close to being this planted on the track. This thing is glued to the track!
@@yztefenbrianb.sanpablo666 Don't compare Schumarcher with Lewis.... Shumi is a talented driver where else Lewis is too but he has the most fastest car on the grid. Schumarchers car wasn't the fastest.. It was one of the fastest at that era... All drivers are different, never compare one with the other.. All are unique
@@eruptic6503 its not ONLY the car.I'm not saying dat the car doesnt play a big role in the outcome but that lap from lewis to keep it so clean and steady and to just have the amount of confidence that he has on braking and acceleration is absolutely marvellous so pls dont say that its the car,the driver plays a big role in it too:)
@@eruptic6503 you do know a lot of that is about how the driver applies and releases the brake, turn the wheel smoothly and precisely, and applies the throttle. So no its not just about the car.
The blackout livery, the quarantine ambience, the team, the car, the driver, the 7th title... we started the decade with what might end up being its greatest motorsport craft.
I still remember when people thought Schumacher’record would never be broken. I think its cool that the guy who is going to break it, is just a normal person with a dream and tons of talent. Lets face it racing is an extremely expensive sport and having a normal guy sit on top is a beacon of light for anyone out there that believe their dream is impossible. Good on you Lewis.
@@5950zielGrowing up as a kid he was, his dad had to work multiple jobs to support Lewis’ racing as a lot of our parents would probably have to as well
It would actually be interesting to see the 2019 Mercedes and 2020 Racing Point. Maybe use Bottas too since Hamilton is reasonably better than Perez and Stroll.
I support Lewis. Records OK. But this not Schumacher, Prost, Senna, Lauda, Fangio... For the public, F1 = Schumacher or Senna. Hamilton is no very popular.
The way this car sticks to ground when he turns is awesome. It looks so stable throughout track. As lewis said, this is the best merc. Other 3 mercs also did good job..😁😁😁 cant wait for race..
Maybe 2024 cars could match this in the high speed corners. but in the mid and low speed corners, they won't get close to this car with these 800 kg cars.
Almost a perfect lap. Nailed every apex but never took too much curb, so cornering extremely smooth and allowed early power and traction out of each corner. Superb.
@@ianbudgetrc2574 there's no best driver in history. You cannot compare drivers from different eras. But he is the best of his generation(which makes him one of the bests of all time)
Easy, because of the new regulations. In 2020, it was essentially 6 years of the same regulations since 2014, the new v6 turbo hybrid area. This Merc W11 is the result from learning, tweaking and fine tuning over 6 years under the same regulations. This W11 was at the pinnacle of power, downforce, etc. for those regulations. In 2022 they introduced new regulations for a completely new car design so all the teams are starting back and zero with a blank sheet. Give the 2022 regulations a few years for teams to gather data and fine tune and hopefully we'll be back to speeds similar speeds of the W11.
@@mugshotmarley Ground effect suffers at low speeds, and since the weight of these cars have shot up along with the fact that they now use E10 fuel, i will be shocked to see any cars using the new regulations match the W11's quali times at any given track.
Its insanely stable for a car with close to a 1000 hp. Tyres always look to be in the right temperature window and Hamilton can rotate the car with no issues whatsoever. Its very very close to perfection.
It doesn’t matter how great your car is, the car don’t drive itself! Give the man his props as one of the greatest soon to become the greatest driver ever in this sport! (Men lie, women lie, but Numbers don’t lie)
Cubez-Brawl Stars he was 26 seconds ahead of Verstappen, ofc he wasn’t in any pressure from behind, why would he make mistakes, unlike Verstappen who was only 0.5 ahead of Bottas?
The only team that have somewhat of a chance of competing with Mercedes tomorrow is the team that are driving the car Mercedes drove last year. Smfh🤦🏽♂️
@@marcovuurhout1849 The car wasn't the best and RB were so ahead of the rest of the field that year and no driver can close that gap so him finishing 4th was good, he is a more complete driver now compared to then.
Marco Vuurhout lol what an idiot. The 2013 car was not a front running car. You do realize that every F1 champion has won in a car that’s top 3 fastest? If not , THE FASTEST. Vettels Red Bull was dominant. schumi’s ferrari was dominant. Senna’s McLaren was dominant. Call me when somehow wins WDC with the slowest car in the grid
@@ausriusdidziokas6771 Mercedes had as much poles that year as Red Bull, and it was definitely ahead of Ferrari, yet Alonso was ahead of both those Mercedes drivers and Vettel demolished them.
Its insane how much this car is on rails! He had 0 oversteer corrections during that lap, even though that was on the limit.. And duuuude, that turn four :O I orgasmed sooooo hard. Its unbelieveable that he takes it with just a small lift in 7th.. Man! Top job.
.. And never mind the high speed stuff were we know the merc is superior. Even in the slow corners like turn 2 and 13 the car is just hooked to the inside. Im in awe :O
My god, this thing is so planted and precise in this track. I mean, W10 (Racing point) was still faster than the others, what did they improve?? 0:54 the only driver that has done this turn almost flat out
To everyone saying they are tired of Hamilton dominating year after year: they said the same about Jordan and Kobe. Yet once they retire everyone realises just how special and once in generation their talents are. Recognize greatness. Most champions play on great teams (Ask Messi and Ronaldo about that)
Well Bottas does have Lewis chief of 6 years and he being fed all Lewis data and car setups. And Bottas said interview that he has been watching all Lewis videos.
The best driver, the best car, the best team, the best crews, the best engine, the best technology, the best of everything. I hope you will overtake Michael Schumacher’s record soon and become the best all time F1 racer.
@@kukuc96 Bottas definitely must have watched Hamilton videos to learn how to try and match him teammate. If you looked at his qualifying lap, it was a great lap and he even mentioned he went as fast as he could and said he couldn't improve. So, he got the most out of the car he possible could. However, Hamilton had something special he could find for the final lap. That shows if Hamilton is on form, even if Bottas is on form he cannot match Hamilton and shows why Hamilton is the driver of his generation in qualifying, so the best Bottas could do is just be as close as he was. It worked but shows that Hamilton is a level above and why he has 90 pole positions now.
