Actually in Doomsday’s 1st appearance in Man Of Steel 18 he broke out of a containment chamber that was buried deep underground which was homaged in Bizzaro’s intro in the containment suit in season 2.
One thing I want to point out that's really amazing. Aside from the visual design of Doomsday... is the audio design. For a TV show, this is WAY too good.
“It is been decreed by the Council of Krypton that none will ever again give life to a deformity so hateful to sighted memory. The desecration without name.” Lex just couldn’t help himself
@@sonamtashi7706you know I wish more of his Roars and stuff in Media sounded like how you described it, not how it sounds like, when you remember his comic origin. Should sound something like the 2003 Hulk.
I love how it looks like the suit has been fused to his body makes you wonder how much timea Lex broke him to cause the fabric to start being abosrbed into the skin.
I didn't like it, I thought it was a stupid version of the Doomsday character story by changing Bizarro into Doomsday and by killing him over and over, what will they use the budget on next. Lol And this Lex Luthor isn't anything like the super intelligent nerd turned crime boss Lex that we know. No he's a hardened criminal boss Lex that's out for revenge on poor lil Lois because she sent him to prison, and then he takes over the prison making everyone warden included his bitch with serving him his food and all, just a dumb story to me.
@@tubucoco too each their own but the latter half of your statement is what Lex is like and sounds like something he would do. I mean the guy has done stuff like this before many times I dont see the problem here.
@@tubucocoI agree with you. Terrible direction tbh. Bizarro’s entire existence in this verse is just bad. His backward mannerism is very off from any source material which is what makes bizarro, bizarro to begin with. The comic run that depicts bizarro becoming doomsday by luthor modifying his dna is par acceptable… but not this bullshit bizarro has super regeneration where as Superman doesn’t and it allows him to become a stronger bizarro thus evolving into doomsday lmao. This isn’t kryptonian pokemon. They’re always supposed to be mostly polar opposites. Even if they directed it to where this bizarro came from a different earth, different abilities etc. It’s still bad lol. Him becoming doomsday, now removes what an actual bizarro would be within the show. One that doesn’t have this ability to evolve. And it also makes doomsday a laughing matter. Seeing this has only had 3 seasons, if they continue beyond doomsday; the show will have no big bad. Because doomsday aside of darkseid is typically the big bad. And as you said budget wise, there’s no way we’re getting a better villain then doomsday. Definitely not darkseid. So either way, this is sorta that make and break of a show. Where it’s actually both. It’s good/not good and it’s bad/it’s not bad. But solely based on it being it’s own cinematic direction within this depiction of Superman. If it wasn’t for that copout, this would just be downright bad in what was otherwise is a decent series thus far. The least they could’ve done is remove the emblem from his chest. He looks more like the abomination. He should be fighting hulk, not Superman lol.
Nice interaction between Superman and Lex Luthor, bitter enemies throughout the DC multiverse. Nice Doomsday entrance. The design could be improved, but it is better than the BvS design.
I have read a comic with Doomsday in and I think Bvs doomsday looks more like him. His face is covered in bones and he has long hair so it's not easy to tell but his face looks like Bvs doomsday.
I can definitely relate to doomsday on how he went through hell over and over again and yet he still survived it to come back stronger and stronger. I've been through hell and back again and yet i can't break free of my hellish nightmare no matter what i do it's like I'm trapped in hell it's self.
Honestly, Lex might be too deluded in that he wouldn't believe that Clark was Superman, because in his mind why would Superman's secret identity be a normal guy?
No. That will always be his greatest failing. The most brilliant mind on the planet cannot see past a pair of eyeglasses. He would never accept that Superman, with long for an ordinary life, and therefore feel the need to disguise himself as an ordinary human. As a man who worships power, covets it with everything, it's beyond his understanding that someone as powerful as Superman would want something different. Something as simple as a home and a family as opposed to a throne. It truly makes no sense to Lex. That's why he will never put two and two together. Like Clark said to Laura last year, some people see what they want to see. Lex Luthor is no different.
@@Artisan1979 I am so sick of this argument. The disguise worked on Lois Lane, it worked on Perry White, it worked on General Lane. It worked on the whole town of Smallville for several years. The idea that Lex can't see through a pair of glasses because he is "deluded" is nonsensical when Clark does like a million other things to hide his identity.
well its not that necessary... we are meant to interpret that everything that happened in Superman Animated series, or most of comics have already happened. So Superman already had dozens of encounters with Lex. The series started in momment when Superman finally put him behind bars.
@@DragonHunter-oq3zithey literally said in season 2 of Superman and Lois thst Clark is the only hero on this earth they retconned it to not be part of the arrowverse
@@DragonHunter-oq3zi The producers really went out of their to separate this from the arrowverse because of how poorly they handled Superman but I get what you're saying
This was a great match. Very Snyder inspired and one of the coolest shows out there. More writers should take notes. Hope they raise the budget instead of cutting it.
@@lex_rodriguezZack's one of the more humble guys in Hollywood. Every actor that works with him gushes about their time on set and how much they love him.
LOL you guys stop Zack snyder was the worst choice to lead DC by far. He has said he doesn't even like comic books. He doesn't like these characters. He wanted to do his own thing and thought he could do better. He made horrible movies.
Another homage to DCEU where Luthor turns a dead Kryptonian into Doomsday but this development is actually better since it’s in line with Doomsday returning from death stronger and stronger.
17 years of built up anger and rage in prison for a crime he didn’t commit…I think his wardrobe is the last thing on his mind right now. This is a vengeful Lex.
I love batman vs Superman so this brings a awesome memory. I know people complain about the look but Doomsday does look like a cave monster in the comics anyway. He just has white hair, green trunks and giant bones all over. Take all that off him and he would look like Bvs doomsday and this one.
"STARS" this Doomsday gave me two vibes, 1; Nemesis Resident Evil and my own personal favourite 2; Humanised Turd. I love the show but this character i just couldnt take seriously as Doomsday. It was like i took a shit and it travelled down to drain, it came into contact with a corpse which was soaking up radiation and it mutated into this. 'Shitman' 'Turdman' 'Killer Faeces'. All i will say is when season 4 turns up, i hope Superman wipes the floir with him and sends him packing to the dark abyss or melts him into a pile of shit.
Yeah that’s the excuse in the beginning. Then it just becomes easy to Kill because “that person was annoying” we don’t want Superman having that mentality (injustice)
@@endangeredspecies8441the thing is, Superman isn't Batman, he's mentally stable, and has and does kill if he needs to. But he only uses it as a last resort when there is nothing else to be done. Even in this episode Clark straight up kills doomsday by skewering him on a spike, purely because he knew Bizaro was too far gone and there was no way if stopping them unless he killed it. Then it revived itself and proceeded to beat the daylights out of Supes
@@mastere6115 I understand I’m more so commenting on the comments logic behind killing him. Just because it’s pure evil is not enough. Like you said, he was too far gone and a danger to the planet, that’s understandable. Being pure evil is not enough of a reason to kill.
I posted a video essay about Superman & Lois 👀 So far we’ve seen Tyler play: Evil Superman Superman/Clark Bizarro I wonder if they’ll have him play yet ANOTHER version of himself next season 😂
@@dinoboyo6639Excellent idea. Basically we can adapt Reign of Superman. That can also bring back Eradicator. Jordan can be Conner's replacement and we already established John Henry Irons
The fact we got Steel, Superboy, Tal Rho/Eradicator having cyborg superman really is the last missing piece for a death and reign of the superman plotline.
@@nikunjdixit1175 yet if you bother to look up Zack Snyder's commentary for MoS and BvS (which are HIS MOVIES) you'll hear Zack literally say the Doomsday we know is elsewhere Lexs Doomsday is no different to BizarroDoom, just another Frankenstein's monster The real Doomsday has ALWAYS been a creature that is introduced as it should look, it's never created from another lifeform Even Smallville respected the origin (Doomsday arrived on earth, it was never made on earth)
This is how you do Doomsday not the trash in Batman v Superman this show embarrasses the Snyderverse it has a better Superman, a better Lois Lane, better writing, a better Lex Luthor, and it has a great Doomsday Zack Snyder could never
The show runner has done brilliant job than what Zack Snyder did in Batman v Superman. The plot and the design of Bvs was awful. I wonder where they spent all that huge budget of the movie.
In Supergirl I remember Lois saying Clark already fought Superman but since this series isn't apart of the Arrowverse this is Clarks first time fighting Doomsday and it's Bizarro who is Doomsday shit Season 4 will be lit it's first episode
@@neptune3571 nop, the showrunner said that they are not in earth prime. In season 2 finale Lane said that Superman Is the only Hero in the Planet and that he saw other worlds
