I love how they return all the tools after using it, that's shows respect for the shop and towards coworkers. Not like a bunch of idiots that I work with every day, that thinks every shop tool belongs in "their" tool box😡🤦♂️
Not a video you see often, domestic v8 got thousands of experts rebuilding. V8 rebuilder in lexus has day job working on something else. Or they would starve 😅😊
This not new lexus still used green when this engine was made. Remember this is old engine lexus is not domestic crap they last for decades before needing rebuild

Most likely because misfire. Due to the Piston rock you can see it when he rocks the Piston with his finger @ 4 min and 40 sec into the vid They're rebuilding the engine. Due to Low compression. Low compression due to excessive clearance between cly wall and piston.
Someone who hasnt a clue what they are saying, 374BHP V8 Engine is one of the most reliable in the world - worth about £3K GBP. The only Toyota which has that engine is the Crown Majesta
My brother had an Estima, said after many years he would get a new car once the motor gave up. He caved and traded it in whilst still running well. Bought a Mercedes 8 seater and paid twice what he got for the Estima on replacing a side rear mirror assembly on the new car.
