Yea. So in some countries the 1gfe is exactly the same as the beams 2000 just with different branding. Now Toyota Altezza. Came out with a 3gse motor. That's completely different to the ones released in the lexus is200 Thanks for watching mate!
I own a 2002 Toyota Mark II with the Beams 2000. I am looking to upgrade the exhaust as the factory one has started rusting on the inside of the muffler/silencer body thus making rattling noises especially on hard acceleration...
Yes I checked this out your engine is the same as the one in the video. Also when upgrading your exhaust you may just choose to do it from the diff back.
You will not really able to see it, because it's too less of an economy to start with. If I take the Greddy as example, the catback spares you 20 pounds in overall weight, and gives you around 9 HP. This is too less of gain to be felt. It certainly will bring you one DL in fuel consumption, but in regard of the 10 Liters that this thing needs on 100Km, this is not a relevant number, and it could easily be topped if you try to drive 100km/h all the time on the highway. If you search power with extremely well fuel consumption number on a rear will plattform, you could try the actual IS300h (mk3). It's one second slower as the IS300 MK1, but it will only need around half the fuel the MK1 needed. Sound is less sexy though and the E-CVT will sound even more un-sexy if you drive the thing hard. But you can already go plenty of quick with it. The 2L Toyota Corrola Hybrid that is out now is another client. Front wheel driven, but fun nontheless. The 2.5 Toyota Camry Hybrid US version is also front wheel driven. But it has the strong point to have a 10 speed auto box, and not a E-CVT like the japanese and european version. If you want to make a compromise in fuel consumption and have a good sporty base, look out for the next Toyota Yaris GR. It will be an incredibly quick compact car.
