My Lexus IS250 (2006) Has a serious issue where the passenger front door cannot be opened from the inside or out. I think some rod might have got pulled off/bent/broke? Share your experience, tips, solutions here guys!
This just happened to my 2011 Lexus. I heard a plastic piece brake and now the interior handle moves easily but doesn’t disengage the door. I am able to open the door from the outside, so I roll the window down, reach out to open the door, then roll the Window up. I’ve ordered the Door handle mechanism which I hope will be the Solution. I watched a video on removing the panel. Hope I figure it out this weekend.

My 1995 Lexus front door handles inside all of a sudden stopped working. I can open the front doors from the outside but not the inside. Thinking it is something electrical because both the front doors had the problem at the same time. Thanks
Hello, did you have to permanently damage the door panel in order to "remove" it? I've tried prying mine from the door after unscrewing everything, but it won't budge and I feel like I'm going to break/bend it. Thank you!
Hi John, yes unfortunately the panels have to be torn either from the outter rim or in the center where the cusion handle is. I recommend a cutter than can do super clean cuts as they can be molded back together easier
To get the door open look for the long metal rod that’s connected to the handle assemble for the exterior handle. Trace downwards towards the door lock actuator there will be a lever it’s connected to and push down and or up I forget but pretty sure it’s down and you should be able to open the door.
@@dontb3lik3m3dude you might have a cable that slipped off and the inside door panel. Lucky for you you can open door to remove door panel, then fund cable connecting inside handle to actuator
@@lextacy2008 Am really frustrated right now coz am having the same problem. For me it seems like one of the rods slipped but what's frustrating is that I can't access those rods with the door closed
freeze frame video at 1:35 See the blue tipped cable? Well that whole black box is what your going to smash apart. But it gets more fun than that. You will more likely need to dremel larger cut outs before you proceed.
