I have an 08 Is250. Agree completely on the quality of the doors and interior, it is absolutely top notch. Even the handles on the roof inside feel amazing! Great car.
Yeah true, so many attention to details like you said handles on the roof, they dont fold like usual but stick out. Also I didnt mention the car comes with standard Heated & Cooled seats (although because mine doesnt have leather seats since its a sport package, I only have heated seats)
most Lexus cars to me are like angels. I love them so much, the ride so swiftly, they go fast and are luxurious. my Dad owns a Toyota Altezza and I want to drive it so bad!
IS-250 is one of the best cars ever made... luxury enough, low maintenance, good mpg, very good looking and maintains a higher resale value than most cars... I got in my garage a 2010 with an AWD, only 26k miles, a unique silver blue color that's difficult to find, and an EPS... I only drive it once in a while to keep it in shape ❤️
@@julvy2521 So as long as the milage is real, has no accidents, clean in and out, no water damage, no rust, and no mechanical issues... check the paint condition very closely... if the paint looks great it could be that it was either garage kept or the paint is not original... it it has been previously painted then find out the reason(s) How about structural damage? Extremely important.... if it has maintenance records it's a big plus... Usually cars that old with such low millage have had no more than 2 pre-owners... Ask the seller for a Carfax, this is a must... and even if the carfax seems good I would still take it to a professional... and if it is all true, then I say yes, it is absolutely worth it. 👍 Check the peddles, the speedometer box to make sure no one has tampered with it. If there is something funny with it then it is probably a lemon. Check the undercarriage for rust, very important... check the paint and all the interior for any damages... write down all damages you find, this can help you negotiate the price. 👍
I bought 2009 reg is 250 sel it's costly to run but there is something about this car that I love so much.It does feel so refined and smooth.Also is not as slow as people say if u drive by the speed limits it's more then fast enough.Dunno how much will last me but the fact that I chose it over newer cars is something I think Lexus is know for and is bullet proof reliable
Weight distribution is 52/48 front/rear, so that is quite balanced. You scared me there for a minute, as I am looking to upgrade from BMW and don't want to find myself in a fidget spinner.
I enjoyed this review and your enthusiasm. I have a similar car but one year newer and here in the US, alcantara seats have never been an option in the Lexus IS which means your individual packages are different. I have some of the sport package, but no navigation system. Without the nav, one doesn't get the auto closing side mirrors, that cool way you can lower your windows using your remote, memory seats, or the automatic steering column adjustment. If I had chosen the navigation, then all of what you have would have been added. I'm amazed that you have 153,000 miles on this car already yet it still looks brand new. This is still one of the best reviews on YT for the IS 250 and the fact you are 6 foot, makes it that much better. :o)
Hi Excellent review of the is250 Ive just purchased, Jan 2020, an 06 is250 6 speed manual in glacier frost mica with 52000kms Its fantastic. The es & gs are way too big. The is is a real drivers car. I sought one out because of ur reviews :::))) Thanx :::)))
I currently have both, both are great cars id say the IS250 is on a different level to the Accord in terms of comfort/refinement, but the Honda is much more practical (more interior space) both are bulletproof reliable and will serve you well if looked after.
your car's mileage is quite high, any big issues so far? hows the wear and tear on your car (the bushings, any other suspension related parts) how about other parts such as the aircond system (cabin filters, compressor, etc) lastly about the undercarriage, any rust so far?
I bought the car just 1 year ago so can't really say on the problems but I had none so far, every feature and every button works. Rust underneath is minimal
If you're interested in buying one of these cars how do you know if it has a sports package? If you're going to search for this car online is the key word to use 2007 to 2010 Lexus IS250 F Sport package or just sports package? I haven't had any luck finding any.
I wanted to get this beautiful car to replace my Corolla t sport Compressor as its terrible on fuel consumption. But i hear this car is also not good on fuel in city driving because of the 2.5 V6 petrol engine you get 20 mpg. I thought Lexus also does a more economical diesel version of this car.
It has quite good fuel consumption for a V6 in town, if you drive slowly you will probably get over 20mpg. I get 32mpg average( town/highway). But still, if consumption is your priority - than a V6 petrol is not the best choice. The newer IS300(after 2013) has a hybrid drivetrain (4 cylinder petrol plus electro motor) and there the consumption is even better in town than a 4 cylinder diesel car.
Do i see correctly that there is 2 cigarette lighters? One under the armrest near the aux and one in the front? I'd like to know as i am getting one myself and im trying to figure out where to build in the bluetooth.
You’ve got 2 12v plug ports, i ran mine from the one in the center console. Works like a fookin gem m8, just watch out for the ground loop noise coming off the alternator.
I will like to ask a question. Is it possible to have the same tire size for all the wheels on a RWD option of the Lexus IS250 (preferably having the front wheels in same size as that of the rear)?
I got one just after finishing my junior year. This shit slaps, i had driven lots of sports cars and trucks and all sorts of things, this is my favorite car other that the aventador. GET IT!!!!!

@@edgaranaya7969 you're thinking of buying a v6 for good gas mileage? Unless it's a hybrid you'll never get good gas mileage from 5 cylinders and up, unless you're doing highway only.
You're mixing up two different things. Both models are naturally aspirated (instead of being turbo or supercharged). But indeed IS250 only has direct injection while IS350 has both direct and port injection.
