I own a ISF and I was about to give up on it, since I have a valley plate leak. After seeing how the 1st Gen V8 ISF took on the RCF and GSF 🤔 made me think old school still has it. As Vin Diesel said ,it don't matter what car is it you drive, But how well the driver drives it. Thanks for making me double think my decision. Only mod I have is PPE headers and exhaust system. And yeah Lexus valley plate leaks.
Did u fix it? Hopefully mine doesn't leak... I haven't noticed drop of coolant in a while. But I will be doing 3500 miles trip so I want to make sure it's dead on
@@Chiboza Yes I had the local Lexus dealership do the repair. It was about $1,700 plus. Observe your ISF's undercarriage when you have it on the lift or do a oil change, mine it was on the driver side undercarriage there be like a pink slushy residue. Check on ISF faster RU-vid blog he has a link set to a DIY and the list of parts needed. Also on club Lexus forum's.
Driver mod is important. I have a GSF with exhaust. Let's take out any possible driver error from a dig and go from a roll. See who's faster on the highway
What does it take to be a good driver with a paddle shift car? You dot do shit but flick a paddle. Let's not talk about a real shifter and a MAN pedal.
This fool races in Eco mode ?😂😂😂 my 350 launches harder. I swear people don't know how to drive. Sport+ manual mode brake and gas to 1500-2000. The car will launch. And you need to be in manual mode to get to redline so the next gear starts at 4k otherwise you are dead in the water. Congrats on the kill @isfaster
Manual mode will not yield best times from a dig. Manual mode is good for holding a higher gear, and that's it. Drive + Sport/Power mode + TC off + break launch yields best times
His only mod is X force cat back exhaust that's it! Which gives him only few extra hp. GSF and RCF both have over 50hp more and tq stock. But they both weigh more. It's driver mod that won this race and most of his races.
im experiencing same thing with Borla Cat Back exhaust only everything else bone stock. On paper they seem to be mediocre but in real life street its very potent. im not sure why. My homeboy has an ISF to with more bolt ons and i hang with him just fine... these things react very well to Cat back exhausts.
Keep in mind the hellcat can set those incredible times on a prepped track in the right conditions. For most average driving out there, they can't hook up. Lexus engineers aren't morons and they spent the time ensuring the power gets to the ground. If you run shit tires the ISF won't perform. Run decent tires and have some seat time it's potent. But these are best kept to drivers who know what they're doing. Casuals will typically look at the ISF and scoff. Which is perfect for folks who own the ISF :)
Yeah the fwd biased awd rs3 doesn’t compare to an isf or gsf. Two different cars. Give me a lexus F rwd any day for driving dynamics, pleasure, and excitement along with superior reliability.
Did the same thing two months ago. Traded 09 G37x for a 2011 ISF. Love the V8 torque and loads more grip. F also has slightly better mpg, surprisingly (26 hwy). I hate the 8 speed trans though (could just be my car, but the shift lag is intolerable).
