Who really cares if Phil The Thrill got a HT or not. At least hes a Stanley Cup Champion which he would've never been a Champion if he had played the rest of his career in Toronto.
#Shanaplan I know it's frustrating if you're expecting too much, but I trust the plan. We also have to remember there's an expansion draft and we're going to lose players to that. Got to protect as many players as we can, and personally, I wouldn't mind another high draft pick.
I'm never too mad when we lose to a team we should lose to, like the Pens. That also makes it more exciting when we WIN against teams we should lose to, haha, but hey, it's the Pens. Can't be mad.
I thought the Leafs were impressive last night (Though they fell away eventually) they played a damn good speed game against my Pens. You gotta hand it to the goalies though, a lot of scoring chances, it felt like the game could have looked more like Columbus-St Louis last night. Also the shot and rebound by Kessel where failing to elevate it led to saves and the daylight robbery Andersen pulled on Kunitz.
They played a good game until what's-his-face fell down, let Rust walk around andersen and really...the Leafs had to stay within a goal to have a chance. Also: i had never heard of Corrado until Elliott Friedman's sob story... "OMG YOU'RE KILLING HIS CAREER!" ...the fuck outta here.
I actually thought they looked great for the first two periods. Took it to the Penguins hard, and got some awesome looks. The Leafs looked like they could have won that game, against the reigning champs, for two damn periods
I'm going to Thursday's game against the Panthers. I was at Reimer's first shutout with the Leafs. I'm going to be at his first shutout with the Panthers, aren't I? Sigh.
Sosh will never be more than a 3rd liner. He has never been a great offensive player at any level. Sure he has explosive speed and a great shot but he is inconsistent and invisible most nights. Griffith can be a good offensive player (77 points in 57 games in the AHL, 45 goals, 85 pts in the OHL in 68 games). In 52 games Sosh only put up 28 points. Don't be fooled by last year when he was used on the 1st line (because we had no one else). He had the chance to get 1st line ice time with a very hot Kadri but his play dropped off after the first couple of games. Same this year. First 3 games were good, invisible since
mr krabs loves money!!!!! So does that mean I produced Saving Private Ryan because I went to see Jurassic Park at the movies? I'm a filmmaker. Never knew that.
This team need to figure out how to get a vet defense man who can lead and find a way to get Roman Polak out of there. If they wanted to keep a vet should have kept Dion.
Ya I thought Griffith was better than the other 'might-be's. Maybe he made the coach mad, who knows but it's a big loss for the team. Holland has shown talent in the past but disappointed in this game. Komarov, sigh he's gotta go to 4th line and penalty kill. He just doesn't have a scoring touch left I fear. JVR what the heck, you're slow lately. I want to see a more intense forechecking and I want to see guys taking the puck up the ice, use that skill.
