@@ariccua6101 soon to be yet another elimination video where his sanity finally slips too far out of his grasp. Watching this 9 year old clip vs now you can visibly see how years of mental anguish have really taken it’s toll on poor Steve. I don’t revel in his misery, I really wish the leafs could put together some semblance of a postseason run - but it honestly is fascinating to watch.
I'm here after 2024 playoffs, round 1, game 7 BOS vs TOR 2-1 OT loss. 10 years my guy and dealing with the same stuff. If only someone could tell young Steve to buckle up for it.
Watching this in 2023 makes me appreciate how fully formed Steve Dangle was at such an early stage. A few of the histrionics weren’t there yet (IF YOURE A GOALIE..!) but the style and passion sure is. He’s real and you can tell his voice is clear. If ever there was someone doing what he was born to do, this proof.
@@erikmerced6329 If the Bruins are out than I'll be routing for Columbus in the east but right now I'm routing for Boston in the east but I hope my 2nd favourite team the San Jose Sharks can win the cup this year. I WANT THORNTON TO WIN THE CUP SO BAD.
Oh man. This poor man didn't even have a clue. Zamboni drivers. Game 7s. He's barely started the roll downhill at this point. How long until Matthews asks for a trade? Toronto is wasting his best years.
"If I can cover hockey in a year with no hockey, what is going to stop me?" You were right that the answer was nothing. Nothing was going to stop you. What a ride. Keep it going, Steve.
So this showed up in my feed out of nowhere, I’ve only known of Steve the last 3 or 4 years so it’s kind of jarring seeing him this early in his career
I've listened to Steve for years. Weird to see this video pop up after the loss to the Panthers in 2023. Weird to see young Steve. He's way more optimistic...I was too. We didn't know about all the ups and downs to come. Cheers to the ups, let's enjoy each and every one.
7:32 "Koews and Tane" I'm sure someone else has pointed this out in the last 7 years, but I do that all the time when I talk about those two! This vid kept popping up so I figured I would watch. I was not a Dangle fan at this point and I actually thought he was quite annoying, but looking back even then he always had a balanced opinion about what went right, what went wrong and put away the fandom when needed. For a guy became well known for just being the guy who lost his mind when the leave lost a game, he has always been able to walk it back and look at the whole cancas. Kudos Steve, I was wrong about you for YEARS!
Popped up on my recommended, came here as a smug Habs fan looking to revel in Mr. Dangle's misery, ended up feeling motivated as fuck and determined to chase my life dreams. Weird how the world works
I'm back here in 2024, ten years later, on the eve of yet another game Toronto vs Boston game 7, fully knowing we'll probably see another one of these. Also Steve used to be so calm and collected back in the day.
This popped as a recommended video to watch after years of watching. Loved the optimism but would also love to go back and warn you of the next 10 years :(
going back to watch this 9 years later after toronto finally gets their chance in round 2. someone should make a history montage of all mr. dangle's misery through the years culminating to the shock when the leafs finally get over that hump.
