Hello, in the minute 2:30-35, you connect your HDMI cable to the HDMI eARC port on the TV and the to the HDMI IN port in the sound bar. Why? Shouldn't you connect the cable in the HDMI OUT eARC port in the sound bar too?
Are you able to check the dolby sound setting in the xbox series x settings via HDMI E ARC, and the pass through setting on the tv? With alot of other sound bars using the auto setting on lg tvs creates about a second delay between picture and sound. I have the Samsung q950t sound bar and the LG G1 and it won't let me click the dolby sound setting on my xbox via HDMI EARC unless I do auto which creates this delay in the sound. If you could please check those settings and see how it goes with playing dolby atomos while gaming would be greatly appreciated. Great video thank you.
Hi! Unfortunately I've packed this soundbar away and can't test it any further 😅 But I know what you mean when it comes to Dolby Atmos working through the HDMI, it can be very tricky. I tried every settings combination I could think of but none seemed to work other than setting the digital output to Auto which was frustrating. I'm sorry you're experiencing a delay in the audio, is it quite noticeable?
The XSX cannot currently (including at the time you posted) natively process Dolby Atmos in real time via HDMI, hence the lag. The only way to get it to get in sync is to use an audio receiver or adjust the TV output to PCM instead of pass through. It'll be in sync but you'll lose the Atmos. Had the same issue, Microsoft apparently intend to patch it but still no ETA over a year after the issue was called out
For optimal Dolby Atmos experience what settings should i use? I find it a better experience if i have soundbar mode control toggled on and digital sound output to pass through. With these settings i have a richer bass and better rear sound than if i have tv sound mode share toggles on but again i don't think it's a good Dolby Atmos experience because the rear speakers are not loud enough. When i hear to music the rears are loud and fill the room. Can please give any tip?
What do you think which one is better the Samsung HW-Q950A or the LG DSP11RA? I can't decide between them because I don't have the opportunity to test them together directly. Thanks
@@BoxCoUk but you actually did not connect the end of the cable for the soundbar on the arc/earc port but on a regular hdmi in port. Could you explain why?
WARNING: Do not buy this soundbar it has serious overheat problem if you pass 4k60fps game console through its HDMI ports. Lots of people have this problem and LG support wont respond if you mention it.
But with the Samsung sound bar the rear speakers keep going off at times and reconnect to the sound bar where the lg doesn’t and now Samsung is concentrating on gaming side not tv or sound bar
