Vincent you have changed my life with this video :) For months and months I’ve not been able to get Apple TV to work with Dolby Vision & Atmos at the same time with my current LG soundbar. The audio was always out of sync. I was looking to get one of these new ones because it had e-arc which I thought would solve my problems. I had no idea there was an app for the LG soundbars that allowed you to adjust the sound delay. It can’t be done on the remote that comes with it. Everything is now working perfectly. No need for a new Soundbar! Thank you!

There are too many variables and permutations given the number of different AV receiver/ TV models, making it impossible to arrive at a comprehensive and conclusive result.

@@BTheInstaller what are some of the best, at different price points? where is the lower price limit from which it's worth to upgrade from the built in speakers of higher end TVs?

From my experience with selling and installing home theater systems, modern Yamaha receivers have the best compatibility with ARC support than next in line is Onkyo but the problem with Onkyo is they are not that reliable.

Can you please tell how you increased the length of the rear speakers cable ?

@@liberfarb These rear speakers are wireless so they only need power cables. It's easiest just buy longer ones. They are ordinary C7 type power cables available in many shops (like ebay and amazon etc.) in lengths up to 5m. If you need longer than that you can make the cable yourself or use an extension cord.

I’ve got both, it’s very hard to compare. Sonos arc by itself, this LG system will win. The Sonos arc WHOLE system (sub gen 3 + two SL or ones + arc) then Sonos would win. (In terms of quality and overall surround experience) - however again, the Sonos SHOULD win as it’s currently in the UK £1896 for the whole system. Where as the LG is £1299 (£909 when bought with any tv- from currys)

@@saeedhn12 I personally would go for the LG system. (Depending on HOW MUCH you pay for it) full price, £1499 - in the UK, I would say go for the Sonos (extra £300 or so for full system) however, if like me you can get the LGSN11RG for a bargain price, I paid £909 on a 30% offer when it was £1299. So for me, having paid £909 it is beyond brilliant, because at THAT price it compares with nothing else on the market, nothing comes close. So the LG here wins. However, ultimately I do think it comes down to cost, as like I say, full price at £1499 I do think the extra £300 and having a Sonos full surround would give you a more Immersive experience. Ultimately though, the LG is an amazing system, comes with brackets so you can mount the sound bar and rear speakers which is an amazing add on for LG! Hope that makes the decision easier for you, sorry for the length reply!

@@sweethoney8870 it does indeed! For me it’s a little disappointing, as this price is usually reflective on the brand. And if a flagship system is half price in the same year of release. In all honesty it doesn’t fill me with confidence. HOWEVER compared with the arc at THIS price is wins hands down easily. Not too sure if I’d buy any LG product at FULL price with this sale tactic in mind though. (As this price is across the board)

As a HT guy, it's much more convenient to have a sound bar and wireless components. They'll get better. I like the Sonos Arc

@@BTheInstaller I agree in regards of convenience and space too. Some do a decent job , I must admit and have recommended them to some people due to that simple fact, convenience and easy to install. Though I haven't tried the Sonos Arc, I find many to be weak in one way or another. After trying a few from cheap to moderatley priced Sony, Yamaha, Bose I find the small speakers have to try too hard to 'punch' sound and lack some of the depth which then the sub needs to cater for a larger band in the low end. I prefer the sound of larger drivers and easily handle the sound, whilst the sub is specifically tuned to only lower frequencies. Also, you can easily swap out/test different pairs of speakers to tailor/tweak to your needs and more options to fine tune with a good amp which creates a more immersive sound. All without too many algorithms trying to fake directionality on top of decoding the original surround codec. I think were so use to convenience, quick fix, fast responses in many areas that it becomes a lazy can't be bothered attitude, and people miss out on a true experience. Especially, as the sound engineers have put so much time/effort into the movies/shows etc we don't fully apprecite that effort or understand the dedication or perfection some strive for, just over a few extra wires, trunking etc. Just saying. Sorry for the long reply. Though i haven't got into Atmos yet, my combo of Denon receiver + b&w speakers do an admirable job. Just wish I could just add a atmos processor/amp to my existing setup to push out the extra channels lol

@@harj-spp8547 well yes, a lot mainly... of course a b&w set isn't compatible to a sound bar. However the Sonos Arc and sub and SLs are $1800 collectively. I couldn't even get a good pair of main speakers from b&w for that. Ive had clients with 706s2 and 702s2 which I love. Tough to beat towers. But my days of moving towers and AVR to clean are over. And all that's on the wall is a tv and the arc, nothing under

Messy Marv definitely the best sound bar. My friend had a Samsung Q90R which is very powerful but the base is not even as the Nakimachi two subs. Most of the power came from the front not the rear.

I just bought the 7.2.4 and I even scared the wife when a hammer hit on the screen with a loud thump, she said your stupid speakers scared me I thought it was next to me.

I got mine on Saturday along with the 55" CX and I couldn't be happier, funnily just like Vincent said my other half was happy as there isnt wires and I'm happy Ive got a 7.1.4 system. I did have a 10 year old home cinema system which was dying so this is a huge upgrade.

@@NaRiCo94 its really good. Picture quality is exceptional, Streaming netflix looks so much better than my old Sony 4k HDR LED, the UI is better too, and I really like the magic remote. I've got an xbox one x and gaming is noticeably better on the CX the colours are great and grounded looks beautiful on it. Even my wife comments on how great the picture quality is and she doesn't usually care as long as she can watch the TV she isn't bothered about the quality.

Sanbo Skates Great 👍🏻 I was looking to get it for the new Xbox Series X as Digital Foundry says it’s the best TV for next gen atm. Was concerned about all this screen burn-in stuff but hopefully that’s all overblown.

I would find that really distracting, I don't know why they don't turn the lcd off after a few seconds like the jbl 9.1

alliejr I’ve had the sn11rg for over a month now in front of my 55 CX in a totally dark room and the readout is a 0.0 % distraction. If it bothers you just watch more interesting stuff on tv.....Holy Shit.....

Connect the HDMI out (video/audio) from the Panasonic to the LG OLED. Then connect the HDMI out (audio only) from the Panasonic to the soundbar. You can now decode dts.

Did the arc change from time to time on the tv or did it always stay in arc mode?

I have the same soundbar matched with a C1 oled and I don't know what settings should i use for the best Atmos experience

Hi, I hope you'll read this. I just ordered a G2 77" from LG and the DSP11RA from Amazon. I spent 560€/600$ on the soundbar, it's supposed to be as good as new. I could also get the Samsung Q935GC soundbar for about 610€ brand new. How was your experience with the overheating issue and disconnects? Best regards

Excatly. I have no idea why no reviewers check that. The dialogue clarity is unacceptable. It feels like the center automatically turns down as soon as the other speakers start making some sound.

Snehasis Ghosh 100%. It sucks bcz I wanted to like the SN11RG, but it wasn't worth keeping. I highly recommend the Q950T.

Yes, everything in the hdmi chain has to support earc for it to work through, tv, sound system and AV source.

Where are you placing your rear speakers? Can you help me with height and how far away

He's still reviewing and calibrating TVs here on RU-vid; he just isn't running his calibration business, where he would come to your home and work his magic on your new TV for a modest fee! Im sure as you can appreciate this is due to the current social climate brought about by a certain virus.

q80r has eARC as of the may update. I have it paired with my 65CX and have zero issues.

Bad luck. I have it since came out, from richer sounds and no problems at all

Yes! I have my Blu-ray player connected both to my tv (for Dolby Vision) and into the soundbar (for DTS encoding), both using separate HDMI cables.

@@miketg If you don't mind me asking, does your blu-ray player have two HDMI out ports? I'm having a hard time understanding your setup unless it looks like this. Blu-Ray Player --> TV + Blu-Ray Player --> Soundbar

Mark Velazquez Yes! It is a Panasonic UB-820. This has a HDMI OUT (TV/Audio) and a HDMI OUT (Audio only)!

And while your at it if possible the Sony HT-X8500.

I bought lg c1 and sn11r soundbar by watching your videos, thank you! Tv is amazing, but with sound bar I have problems like super quite voices when Dolby atmos enables when watching content on Netflix or other streaming platform, problem disappears when streaming stereo sound
