I got this exact 55" C9 ~6mths back. Absolutely stunning colors, and has HDMI2.1, fast refresh rate, minimum input lag .. best tv for gaming. Scaling up of videos is good.
@@WringtonGamer It won't melt the plastic, not enough heat for that at all - it should be fine but I guess if you want to take all precautions it could lead to slight more heat on the panel so it''s worth removing.
@@GeekStreet Yeah dude. I've got it set up. It's great! watched snowpiercer series on netflix. and been playing last of us part 2. Really good quality. There is one downside. I've got some deformities on the screen. so at 5% grayscale you can notice it. I hope this disappears over time of use?
I got one today the salesperson Wanted me to sell the cx for 1500 with a cashback from lg from 100 euro's so a total of 1400 but still went for the c9 for 1299euros its way better than the cx
I have the cx currently n the pic quality is Amazing. What makes the c9 better than the cx without mentioning the extra 8gigs of bandwidth that the c9 has because it can't take advantage of that
Excellent choice of tv, LG make the best tvs on the market👍🏻 A little tip, did you know that when using the remote, if you want the cursor to appear on the screen so you can point, just shake the remote back and forth once or twice, and the cursor will appear. It took me months to realise this, I was just pressing any button to bring up a menu, and then hitting the back button to get rid of the menu, just to get the cursor back on the screen! I’m willing to bet you didn’t know this also? LG user manuals aren’t the most comprehensive, plus nobody reads them anyway!😁
Very informative video as always 👍 Fantastic tv with many great features. I also bought my LG from john Lewis, the 5 year guarantee gives a good reassurance.
@@GeekStreet although the cx has a couple extra face enhancement features and upscaling is a lil bit better the pic quality is in the same ball park. The gaming features are what really set it apart
Eu acabei de comprar uma dessas, estou aguardando ela chegar, e achei excelente a sua apresentação. Parabéns e muito obrigado pelo vídeo! ABRAÇOS Sergio RS-Brasil
I have a brand new LG C1 OLED, and I can't figure out how to get my stereo speakers to work. I see them there. I've connected the EARC HDMI on the LG to the ARC HDMI in my stereo. I see it in the audio setup. But I'm not getting any kind of sound when I click on it. I don't think it's in the stereo because it works with my DVD player. My Xbox is also not sending sound to speakers.
Another very informative review. Do you know whether the smaller screened LG tv's have the record to external drive functionality? Also can recordings be scheduled and is it only one channel that can be recorded? Can you watch another channel whilst recording another channel? Thanks for taking the time to do this and your other videos, I always enjoy watching them.
Thanks for the comment much appreciated. I would have thought the newer smaller size models wouls have the record option but best to double check before buying, unfortunately you can not record one channel and view another.
Is it hdmi 2.1supported? As a future proof. Since ps5 is launching soon. Does it have hdmi Earc in it? Can we connect this with Sony ht x8500 dolby atmos sound bar? I heard burning issues for oled tv's, have you faced any in this tv?
Yes hdmi 2.1 is supported and it does also support eARC too. Yes you can connect to that soundbar. I've only had a couple so far, no screen burn issues. Hope that helps.
I’ve had my 65” C9 on the wall for 3 years and I’m attempting to move it a few miles to my new house in about half an hour, I’m actually nervous because it’s so thin
@@GeekStreet I didn’t keep the packaging so I’m going to put it on the bed and carry it in the duvet, I put more blankets down and a full roll of bubble wrap on top of the duvet
@@GeekStreet thanks, it’s done now! A friend helping me decided to lean the tv on something for some unknown reason and bent the corner slightly but it’s only really noticeable when looking from the side so not too bad
@@GeekStreet it comes down to will you game on an OLED if no then go Sony because of superior processing, if yes go with LG due to all the gaming features they offer
Would you recommend this tv if I play for a few hours? Like around 9pm to 3-4am. Heard of burning issues which is making me worried about buying oleds. Would this tv last 5 years?
Go ahead and buy it. I got one 6mths ago. It has Smart logo blur and pixel refresh technology that would eliminate burn. There are long-ran test videos too that you can check.
This is very off topic but I really hope that someone can help me. Is anyone else here using an Xbox Series X on their LG C9 and have this issue? When I switch to the Xbox Series X HDMI source or switch to HDR gaming or vice versa on my TV, about 15% of the time the screen would stay black but I can still use the Series X while the screen is black. There's still sound and I can navigate and use the controller while the screen is black. In order to get rid of the black screen, I would have to change to another HDMI source and then switch it back to the Series X HDMI source. Do you think my Series X is having compatibility issues with my LG C9 OLED TV and getting a new TV would solve the issue or is the issue with my Series X itself like the HDMI port or something? I tried everything, I updated my TV to the latest firmware, used different HDMI cables and even tried plugging these cables in all the HDMI ports on my TV but I still get the black screen. I wanted to get the new Sony A95K TV this summer anyways so would this do the trick?
A LOS QUE TENEMOS UN OLED C 9 NOS GUSTARÍA PODER TENER IMAX Enhanced COMO YA TIENE LAS OTRAS MARCAS SI NO PASA A SER UNA TREMENDA INJUSTICIA O HDER 10 PLUS DESDES YA GRACIAS Y SALUDOS CORDIALES
I have the c9 too, but let me tell you that this tv has a really bad truemotion with a lot of artifatcs visible on screen with films and videogames, and another bad things i notice is that the 1080p video looks very very bad, poor image quality almost everytime...it seems that 1080p on this tv it's not full hd but sd...
@@GeekStreet I tried every little options but nothing to solve the problems. I forgot to mention that the c9 is affected from flickering in some scenes...no way to solve even after brought the tv from the LG assistence
Tru motion or any motion interpolation is bad and that’s why you shouldn’t use it. As far as the 1080p goes its excellent. The upscaling is fantastic on my 65 inch C9 so I don’t know what the original poster is getting that info from.
@@GeekStreet everything went great. I had someone help me lift it. Best TV picture quality I have every seen. This tv is well worth the money. Once again, thanks for helping me man
