Wow I’ve watched around 20 reviews of this tv, and I feel like this is the first actual tv review that I’ve watched. Great work! I really enjoyed your input (no pun intended), and could tell you truly love movies. Most reviewers on here just seem like they’re satisfying whoever sent them the free set. I really enjoyed going through the menus and understanding exactly how it actually works, before purchasing it; rather than having to buy the tv to see the actual menus
I went from the 65c9 to the 77cx last month and you definitely miss the extra sharpness and detail from the 65",and I agree the 77 shows more picture flaws when watching lower quality sources such as netflix and sky. Bigger is not always better lol
I miss the 3d of my 65E6p (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CaC7-JjUw6A.html) and would have traded any new 77" for the larger version of the Gen6, but the jump from C9 to CX is slight, and you're for sure going to notice more issues on the larger canvas. That said, when you get something pristine, well, it's downright glorious. Plus, try out some 4:3 stuff, it's for me, weirdly, the biggest jump!
I sit 7 feet away from my 77cx which initially I thought was too close but now I'm used to the size its perfect, you definitely see more artefacts on a bigger screen but no way would I go back to a 65.
@@lemmrotkennwort4580 proper distance, about 7' from a 77" - again, you can dive into compression artifacts all you'd like - feel free to check out the exceptional Steve McQueen SMALL AXE series which looks fantastic until on some low-light scenes you get lots of posterization and the like. Thanks for watching!
I have a LG lcd that’s about 2-3 yrs old. I can access my hdmi cables from the Home Screen . Surprised that’s not available here since it looks nearly identical . I think I had to go into the settings to get it to appear on my home screen though to get it to appear as those blocks on the Home Screen (like RU-vid or Netflix ). Before that it was only available in the corner it would show a little input picture if I remember correctly
picked up a 77cx and having second thoughts, the audio is terrible. it replaced a 65 E6, and i also have a 65 C8. the 77 is decent , about 10 ft away. I could return it and put the E6 back in the living room and buy a silly 86" and stick that in the movie room instead. I bought the cx because i dont like the new webOS in the 2021 1-series. as i type this, the 77cx is $3049 , and the 2021 77A1 will be released for around the same price, different os, 60hz instead of 120, etc. nice tv's , first time in years that the 77 dipped into the $3k range. btw, the 65 e6 has 9950 hours on it and works like new, always kept the oled light setting on 25 in the main bright living room, plenty bright and no issues, just a slow web browser haha.
Is the TV doing some AI upscaling magic to make 4:3 material like Homicide life on the streets, that I think only got a DVD release, look good? I would have guessed DVDs would look terrible. Good review 👍
The processor in the Cx is causing too much noise and 1080P bluray material looks horrible. the LG C9 could do that much better. I am very curious what samsung can do with the QN90a mini leds this year.
