LG G3 OLED evo Review: The Best TV, Ever? 

Thank You for these great OLED reviews. They really helped me out with my purchase decision. In the last year I was looking for a deal to buy an 83-inch OLED TV. Now I have bought one two weeks ago and it is awesome!

I'm still rocking my 65" LG B8 that I bought in 2019. That thing has seen daily use of streaming apps, games, etc. No issues whatsoever, and it's still breathtakingly beautiful. IF it ever goes out, it will be replaced by another LG OLED. For my $ they cannot be beat currently, or for some time now.

One thing I like about spawnpoint is that he makes clean videos and easy to understand big up 👌🔥🔥 are there other tv's dropping this year

your TV reviews helped me decide on a C1 at the end of 2021. I'm a huge fan, and the G3 is tempting, especially with the brightness improvement, but I'll probably wait at least 2 more generations before dropping the money to upgrade again. By then the improvements should be extremely significant and worth the enormous investments LG's OLEDs are.

Got my C1 in 2021 and I am getting exceedingly excited to upgrade 😂 like another 3 years and I swear the perfect TVs gonna be available

I've had my 77" G3 for a few weeks now and I love it. It's my first OLED, in fact my first new TV in nearly 15 years so I was overdue an upgrade. One word of warning - whatever you do, don't launch LG Channels! You'll never get rid of it. Every time I turned on the TV it would come on, and you can't delete the app. I tried everything - in the end I reset the TV and went through the process of logging into all my streaming services... again! My viewing room has windows behind the viewing position, meaning that even with its stellar reflection handling, dark scenes can be difficult to watch during the day, but we need to get blinds in there anyway so no big deal.

6:48 the screen is clear and vibrant, that it honestly looks like an image has been placed in the space if the tv. That's insane.

Wow amazing TV! I've been thinking of upgrading for a couple of years now this might finally convince me, now I've just got to convince my wife it's worth the money too! I'd love to see a review of your speakers and AV setup at some point too!

BEST OLED TV - I am moving this year to soon my place so I can't wait to wall mount 55 inch LG G3 and finally start using it. This will be my first OLED TV. Thank you for the review. You have confirmed everything that I think about this TV.

Hi Spawn,, Thanks so much for the video. Really enjoyed both your inboxing and review of the G3! I was wondering if i could “borrow” from you your picture settings for SDR, HDR and DOLBY VISION contents. I got an LG G3 65, which i had calibrated at the store. The guy at the store told me that i should always use the ISF Expert Setting for all three picture settings. However, once the TV was home and i connected it to my Apple TV 4K box, I was not able to find the ISF setting anywhere no matter which of the three contents i watch. The picture is, to my taste, nog clear or sharp enough!. At the store they told me that the reason this is happening is because somehow Apple TV 4K is interfering with the settings and using its own settings, overwriting them. The calibration that they did, should be correct and and therefore the couldn’t provide any other help…. So I guess i paid extra for something that is not working. I have been trying to tweak with the settings but i can’t find one that suits me. When viewing a content that has dark in it (Midnight Mass, the Haunting of Bly Manor) the image is so dark, that i have to close the curtains to be able to see it a bit better. (Daylight) and the features of the people tend to be not so sharp. Your picture quality and review seemed great, so I thought id ask your help…. I hope you can help me. Any help you can provide, i will greatly appreciate. Thanks! Erick

LG G3 is the: Best OLED TV. Great review thanks. After the unboxing I’ve been waiting for this one and the TV and your review didn’t disappoint. I think finally the 65” version of this is the TV to replace my 2016 Samsung ‘curved’ KS9000.

Thanks for the efforts on this video, well done! I'm thinking to get the 65" model, how far should I sit to get the best possible experience? Your help is much appreciated as I'm confused between 55" & 65" just based on the distance I have in my room. Cheers.

Could you do a video comparaison between the lg G3 and the s95c?

Should have went all out in 2020 as well. Back then, I went with the highest end LCD the 65" Sony X950H, because I came from a Full HD 43 inch Tv and was barely using it. Also had a great deal at 1200 bucks and the C9 was going for 1800 back then. In store, I didn't see much difference in in picture quality but after seeing the Ambilight OLED of my friend I regretted it all 😂 also OLEDs now a lot more afforable

Your videos quality are always lit. What lens and microphone do you use with your iPhone to record?

I feel with LG oled TV’s they do an incredible job with 4k hdr content, but upscaling from say the Nintendo switch just isn’t on a par with Panasonic or Sony. And the out of the box colours seem slightly off to in comparison to Panasonic also. Stunning looking tv tho pal. 👌🏻

How you feel the game mode brightness compares with the s90c?

BEST OLED TV. Hands down, the best tech review channel on YT, Spawnpoint. No one else even comes close. The G3 is a very sexy TV but I don't see any reason to upgrade my C1, which is still doing the business. Wish I had your life though mate, trying out all this awesome kit 👍

Is CS3 the same thing as C3? The only difference is that in C3 the brightness is 20% stronger. Which is better cs3 oled or c2

The only thing stopping me at the moment is the fact it doesn’t come with a tv stand…you have to pay extra for one and Iv heard it’s not the best either (very wobbly)…and also the power cable is fixed to the tv. Hiding cables into the wall sounds so much effort…and then connecting other devices to the tv would just become a pain. I like Samsungs idea with the one connect detachable box 👌🏻

Just bought the Mangus Pro XL following your review, in fact each time you do a review my bank balance gets annihilated 🤣 Also, I got a LG CX 65 when you reviewed that as well a few years back. Anyway, I just built a new pc rig, got a 4090, I want to connect it to a TV for single player games, so thinking use the current CX with the PC and get a G3 in place of the CX. My question to you is, is it worth the additional brightness on the G3 for the money? Thanks man.

Question! I have the Sony x90j and use it mainly for my ps5, my main thing is visual/picture quality and lifelike when I’m looking for Tv. Would getting this or the LG C3 be a major upgrade?

It's amazing how LG has become synonymous with OLED TVs. Yet another banger from LG.

Saw the qd oled today for the first time in currys and was shocked how grey the blacks looked compared to the traditional woled!!

Lg cx owner , got dead pixel . I decided to by mini led tv some x93l . After 1 week I returned it and just ordered lg G3 . I was not sure if the extra corst over c3 was worth it until I go in store and compare them. I think mini led is fantastic if you never got oled before haha

Something frustrating compared to my older lg oled is the home button causes the screen to be filled, and its pointless because above the row of apps, which my previous oled displayed over the tv channel or source youre watching, is a whole load of nothing. Theres nothing to see there, just a random link to apps or.something else. And you lose what youre watching

Iam a huge fan of LG TVs but I want to see how this TV stacks up against the SONY A95L. The A95L is getting so much hype and it's not even out yet. I recently saw the LG G3 at Best Buy and its incredible. I have the LG G1, which is still a great TV 2 years later. However, if I did upgrade the G3 would be at the top of my list.

Hey Spawn point please do for Samsung S95C then A95L when it realised then do total compression.

I have been hearing that the G3 runs too hot for any tv in 2023,more than it should Mine is warm,but how warm is too hot? "long-term exposure to high heat, especially excessive amounts of it like the G3 puts off is bad for plastics, glues, resins, polymers, adhesives and rubber, I can't see how a TV producing that much heat isn't substantially shortening its useful life by doing so. " Is any of the true? And if so can this be addressed with updates? Or are we all stuck with TVs that are damaging themselves? Cheers

Great review, really enjoyed watching. I’m left wondering whether LG will release a 97 inch version of the G3 later this year. It’s the one thing I’ve been thinking about, just because I’m curious if I’m honest.

Honestly there's a lot of locked features still in the gaming mode for the G3. The previous models are better for gaming. Although standard content is top tier.. sadly it seems that QD-oled is this year's winner for gaming across many reviews I've seen.

I wanted to ask if you was to replace the screen on this tv is the tv panel connected to the frame or is it separate to the Oled screen when getting replacement for example if your frame breaks along with the screen does that come in one piece like the c2 c3

Running on 65" E6 and for me g3 is too expensive to upgrade cos now I wanna go 77" or 83". After 6 years running 65" E6, G3 65" is not the upgrade I would wish. The size is more of an upgrade that boosted brightness
