Digital Games are much better. As soon as the game comes out I can play it. Also I live in Louisiana. Hurraines suck. It’s a lot easier to just move my PlayStation and then evacuate. Rather then moving a lot of games that I have to physically move.

I just started buying physicals for my PS5 because I missed them! Also, I'm not too fond of not fully owning my games, especially my favorites! Amazon has been pretty good with getting games out on Day One.

While I’m all digital, I still want physical games to be available. I hate that the arguments on this topic are always on the extremes. There should be a place you can buy either where everyone can be satisfied on their preferred media type.

Definitely Physical. With physical games not only do I have more ownership of it, but I also have treasured memories involving certain physical games. Kingdom Hearts 2.8 for example holds a special place in my heart because it was a Valentine’s Day gift from my mom.

The irony is that you don't actually own it. That's why you have to use it as a key any time you want to play it. Digital copies you do actually own as it even says "buy to own" in the store.

I like digital for the convenience, but disc is more collectable. I'm always an advocate for physical media, I don't want to be part of a future where I pay up to 70 dollars or more for a game i don't even own. It can easily be taken away from us as well.

I prefer physical but it’s important to have as many options as possible. Some digital games have inflated prices or get delisted, while some physical games have limited prints and rarity makes them expensive. Some digital games are on sale for dirt cheap while used mass produced games are almost always cheap.

I switched to all digital back when the newest generation of consoles came out. I love that I can switch back and forth between titles in an instance and also not have the hassle of trying to find storage for my ever growing collection of games! The numerous discounts on physical games (at least for the PS5 anyway) I do miss though!

Before watching: I buy 90% of my games physically cause, A: I can return or sell them if I choose to do so for whatever reasons, B: installing a game off a disc if I remember right is a lil faster than storing a whole game on your memory and also I believe less space???, and C: I like to display them (Especially my Zelda collection). Not to say I wont buy digital games (steam and otherwise) but only if thats the only option to buy that game (steam again being the main thing but there are other reasons) There are games that come out digital only then get a physical limited edition later where since I already bought the digital version on release and the physical has no extra stuff I'll just stick with the digital version.

B is completely wrong. Installing off disc can be slower, depending on your internet speed, and the install size is the same, as the disc is too slow to run the game off, so a full install is required.

With the country I stay in, buying physical games is extremely expensive, which is why I have joined the digital band wagon and wait for those discounts to buy several games digitally with gift cards. Since owning my Ps5 (disk version), I do not own any physical games.

You definitely covered the pros and cons of physical vs. Digital. I like on Digital, I can easily switch to a different game in seconds. Can't do that with physical. Like you said, though, it's nice to have a physical disk, too to hold and have in hand, trade, etc. Hopefully, we'll always have an option for physical. Great video.

I buy my favorite games i want for life physically and digitally to help the developer. I bought Lies of P physically and digitally on PS5. Also, if a game is 80%-90% off on the PSN store i wanted to try, I'll get it digitally. If I end up loving it and know it I'll definitly be playing it again in the future, I'll buy a physical copy.

Both great points, the main advantage of Physical is defiantly the resale value or borrowing from your friends, for me. I recently swapped the Miles Morales spider man for the 2018 spider man, 2 games for the price of one

Great video, gaming is awesome! I’m curious, on Xbox, can’t you download the game without purchasing it, almost like a pre-install? If so, couldn’t you still buy the physical copy for your day-one scenario and be good to go when you get home from the store?

Yes that’s a fair point. Although I tried this a while back (forza motorsport) and when I put the disc in it forced me to download the whole game again, even though I had it installed. Need to test this again.

Physical, as much as i actually don't like to get up and change disc everytime i want to play a new game. I still enjoy keeping physical copies, to either trade with friends or use to decorate my setup.

Gaming is Awesome. Awesome video Spawn! I am forever and happily a physical games player. I love going to the store in the morning, purchasing a game whether i preordered or not, taking off the plastic, hold the disc in my hand, the smell of the case just everything! I feel like it’s a losing art that will be sorely missed when it’s really over but for right now and as long as i lived there’s nothing like it. Digital is nice too because I got HZD as a free gift during the pandemic and it’s cool to flash back to it plus the demos we download that I enjoy too. But nothing like physical and I want it to stay.

When it comes to buying games at a lower price, I prefer purchasing physical discs. For online games, I compare prices between disc versions and digital formats to choose the cheaper option. Therefore, I'd opt for the disc version of the PS5, as it allows me to enjoy both physical and digital games at the best possible prices, BTW great and very informative video mate. A few years ago I started buying more digital bc I was running out of space, but now I've reverted back to buying physical as much as I can. Physical games can't be taken away from me, and there's something special about being able to look at my collection even if the game's license has been delisted. A prime example is my copy of Overwatch 1 even though the game no longer exists

I am not 100% a collector. I have close to 50 physical PS4 games, and like 15 digital. In my particular case, it depends. If I really like the game and I want to preserve it, I buy it Physical, but in any other case, digital is ok. Great video! KEEP IT UP!

There is good in both. I do love physical copy though for the collection, I like it. Reminds of me holding that game copy on the way home that my parents bought me. But on the other hand I like digital cause if I’m in a comfy spot on my couch I can switch easily without having to get up and switch disc.

Physical for me, the feeling of just popping in a disc in your console is just something else, and having a nice collection to display on your shelf, however I do buy games that are digital when they are on sale, digital is also nice when you wanna quickly switch between games, I’d say both have there pros and cons, great vid 👍

I'm someone who buys physical and digital as I found out that it's like ying and yang with it being quick/only accessible on digital but owning the game, reselling it, the suspense of when it comes and it's cheaper like battlefield 1 online cost £35-45 but in store it's £5 (physical)

For me I like digital just because of the space I have my wife and I don’t have a lot of extra storage space so having digital allows us to have more space in the house for other items of importance but I do love physical games because of the art and the collection aspect but I think there is place for both! Always physical. I use to live in the sticks with bad internet plus we’d take our consoles camping. I built a custom center console to hold a small tv with a space below for a console so the kids could play or watch movies on long road trips. Now that my kids are grown it’s nice being able to loan or give away physical games to my kids

Another thing to note about buying physical. Once you play and complete a newly released game and sell pretty early on for a good price, very often the game will either come out on PS Plus or game catalogue later down the road so you literally have had the best of both worlds and can replay at a later date digitally anyway. I've lost count of how many times i've bought a game and got the platinum, traded in and a few months later it comes out on game catalogue.

I have some digital games but most of my games are physical. One of the largest reason is the resale market, I can buy a physical game play it as much as I want,. Then eventually if it it isn't a game I plan to keep sell it as a used game to fund my next new game.

I was undecided which ps5 version should i get because im use to the physical copy 💿 the digital version however its quicker to find and purchase a game and if u wanna find an old game as a disc 💿 cant find it new or use in stores or online, then thats the benefit of digital you'll find it unless its unavailable at the ps store network. So I purchase the disc to have both features.

I buy all digital, but I'd be more inclined to pick up physical copies (especially steelbooks) if they all came with digital codes to allow me to play the game without inserting the disc. DVD's and Blu-rays used to do this with codes to add the digital movie to your iTunes library. Would love to collect the physical copies, just don't want the added hassle of having to swap discs every time I change games.

I kind of regret not picking the digital ps5 over the disc as I hardly collect discs and thought at first I’d collect a lot when I buy my games digitally. I suppose there’s some advantages as I can still use my PS5 as a dvd/Blu-ray player

The fact that companies like UBI-Soft have said, "players have to get used to not owning their games" is why I preferer to own my games physically. That's why it's a hard pass for Assassins' Creed Shadows for me. A game bought digitally could always be taken away.

This only works for offline games though,which is fine if you play alone but most the world plays with friends and most games support multiplayer. Physical copy won’t save you from being able to play online with others unfortunately.

It depends, if it’s a game I’m gonna play a lot I will get it digital ( such as helldivers or nba 2k) but if it’s a story related game such as spider man or horizon that I will play for a while then just leave it and maybe hop back on the game after sometime

Since I live in South Africa, everything in the US and UK are 18.5x expensive, so a PS5 is about R15 000 to R20 000, and the new iPad pro on the highest end is R50 000 or so. But I will always love Disk.

I used to be physical all the way. Now that ive got my own apartment and like to keep it tidy and minimalist kind of like spawnpoint, i prefer digital. Less clutter, more convenient, don’t need to get up and change discs every time i wanna switch games.

I used to only want to buy games physically if possible, but now I'm at the point where I only care to get it physically if I care a lot about the game, plan on replaying it at some point, or get it for the sake of a collection. For games that I only plan on playing once and never again, however, I'm just going to download them for ease.

A decent system for me 1. Day 1 physical games- Physical, sell it later 2. Old games that go on sale - digital 3. Multiplayer games like Helldivers 2, digital as I need to swap in n out 4. Long ass open world games - digital, as I can’t be bothered to finish it one sitting 5. PS plus ( got Black Friday yearly sale ) if a game is on there, as I don’t take longer than 2 weeks to finish a game so it’s cheaper monthly

I'm not really a console guy anymore, so digital is fine with mine. I can play/take my library with me wherever i go.

I consider a good game as a work of art. I can imagine the game developers who poured their hearts into the games we love would want it to be appreciated and respected. So I love to collect art and I believe it should be my right to own a copy of the art that I bought and want to keep.

Sometimes I literally do both, buy physical first however i may buy again if it’s on a mega discount on PSN (like 80% off) - usually I’ll combine with reduced PSN gift cards for even more savings
