When mine gets to where it should start downloading it reads (change compressor/yes?) and if i press the once more it reads (change compressor/no?) It does the same on auto and manual Do you have any advice please? Thanks William

if the compressor show yes.. hold and press the button down for about 5 seconds or longer.

My fridge went down a week ago. I'm an air condition Tech. The Model is LSXS26326S/00. Purchased at 2014. Compressor runs, but does't pump. I wonder does it still under warranty. I bought a replacement compressor TCA38151706, FLS075LANA BR1NSVC. What is meaning of last part? Question: Do I need to connect the compressor with software update? or, just update it first.

The compressor might have a 10, 8 or 5 year warranty. To confirm, try looking the owners manual at the warranty page. You can update the Inverter before replacing the compressor.

Hi there, my Kenmore Refrigerator with LG linear compressor got a problem that my refrigerator is not cooling and not freezing. I bought it at Sears nearly 3 years ago. Do I have to replace the filter drier when replace a new linear compressor?

Yes you have to replace filter drier for prevent moisture chocking

@@masif The capacitor that was in the unit was a 20 uF - 450 VAC. I replaced it with a 10 uF-550 VAC as you indicate but the LED flashed six times indicating a potential capacitor issue. Any ideas?

Thank You for your very informative video. Do I install my new compressor before the update or can I have the update performed prior to installation. I am installing the FLS075LANA in place of my FC75LBNA? Also, how would I know what model capacitor I would need for this new compressor if any?

Hi Kenneth i have a Kenmore elite refrigerator model 79572053118 with LG FC75LBNA failed compressor failed within first four year sears is no help in terms of warranty issues tech came and charged $ around $250 without fixing any thing and Quote $1250 for the repairs need to fix the issues so i decided to fix it my self since i do HVAC for living i am in the process of buying a new replacement compressor FLS075LANA and also the jig to upgrade the board so how is your fix for the refrigerator go. thanks

If you are using a compressor that is not the universal compressor(for LG fridges), you won't have to update the software. But if you use the universal compressor, it doesn't matter when to update the software.

This is ridiculous! Every other manufacturer provides for changing code from the front interface. No wonder LG compressors and PCB BOARD are failing in a year. They probably aren't programed correctly.

@@masif Hello, I am thinking of buying LG refrigerator. Is this software update installed on newly produced models? As far as I know, the models produced in 2019 have been updated as ready. Is this true? If it is updated as ready, I will look at the models produced in 2019.

So if you replace it with this new compressor it's a necessary to replace the capacitor or with the old one work or is it absolutely necessary to function correctly?

No need to change Capacitor you have to check capacitance of Capacitor with the help of MFD meter if is less the rating you have to replace

@@masif Thank you so much for that information I really appreciate it. I have one more question the LG repairman put a new compressor but he only put 4.76 oz of freon on my refrigerator door it says it needs 5.11 did he put less freon because the new compressor needs less or he just didn't fill it to the right amount. My freezer is not getting to the right temperature I put it at -3 and it gets around plus 1 plus 2 my refrigerator also is hovering around 39 when I put it at 33 so I'm wondering if that little bit of freon is making it not cool properly or does each compressor have its own amount of freon it needs.I'm so sorry to make this complicated but that's the best I can explain it

As per Gas Charging Process he needs to fill according to Product Specification Gas Amount details if you are not getting perfect cooling as previously call him again charge correct amount

@@masif Seriously thank you so much because a second technician came out from LG and told me the 4.76 that was put in is fine and that putting it to 5.11 wouldn't make a difference. He said that I need new door seals which look good to me but he insists that's the problem which is not covered under the warranty of course.I really do believe that little amount of refrigerant does make a difference. Again thank you so much I was hesitant to call LG. I was just really unsure if different compressors use different amounts of freon and I figured since the technician put a new updated compressor maybe it only needed 4.76 of coolant but now that you cleared up to me that the refrigerator itself needs to be at 5.11oz as stated in refrigerator door now I have the information to make a case to technical support.

I have an LG GS73SDD 2019 Also with a malfunction linear compressor. I can buy a new compressor for 250USD and get it installed but the LG morons say that I have to upgrade my software and I don't have that programmer. The compressor I have is a FLB075LANA and must be replaced by a FLS075LANA, I assume the S stand for the modified parts that typical fail in the FLB075 compressor(I know by now that the pressure valve membrane is failing due to fatigue, are result of a design flaw). I assume that the FLS075 is mechanically and electrically the same as the FLB075 and these compressors don't interface directly with the controller. So if assuming the two Compressor types are mechanically and electorally the same, why the hell want LG force me to make extra costs for an upgrade. Does anyone know the reason for this particular software upgrade or is it just and other scam of LG.

I just had my new universal compressor installed with the dryer. The tech said you have to perform the upgrade because the board needs to run the new compressor differently. But...my refrigerator is working fine after 4 days, but my freezer is only 22 degrees. The Sears tech is coming back out tomorrow. They did not replace the capacitor.

The linear compressor is flawed, as is it’s replacement. Stay away from this problem by avoiding LG fridges and other fridges that use LG parts, like Kenmore. The warranty replaces crap parts with crap parts.
