My wife and I bought a new LG refrigerator on Friday, January 19, 2024. It did not produce ice even after we flushed the line per instructions, but after watching the LG video it became clear on how to use the buttons on the control panel. We woke up the next day and were delighted to see that the bin was full of ice. Thank you LG for the great video. I recommend being patient and believing the manual when it says that it can take up to 24 hours for the ice makers to work properly.
I will recommend to get the application on you iPhone, I am sure is available for Android as well, you have more control of the fridge using the app. We just got this fridge.
Update: I called LG and they sent someone out the next day. As it turns out, I did not press the icemaker word in the refrigerator hard enough and for 5 seconds. There was air in the line and the service man got that out. Now our LG refrigerator and its icemaker work great. We are so happy with our LG refrigerator and I highly recommend LG. .....This comment had been about how we love our refrigerator but our ice maker did not work. Now it does. Thank you LG!
Hi, It was a while back and I don't remember all the details. But, I know I followed all of the directions. I do remember that the directions said to press the word "icemaker" but I had not been pressing it for long enough. (When the technician came out, that was the problem.) When I called and talked to their customer service, they had me do a whole list of things, even put a phone recording video in the refrigerator. There was a very thorough list and it still did not work because I had not pressed the word "icemaker" for long enough. Nothing on the directions or the extensive list that the customer service rep told me to do worked. That is when they sent out the technician who saw that I was not pressing the button/word, long enough. Thanks!@@BrawndoQC

My fridge hasn't produced door ice in about three days now, we have followed all suggested protocols and still no door ice. This is the second time this has occurred since purchasing this refrigerator in January of this year.😭
Hey LG, my elderly parents bought one of your fridges and it stopped operating in a few months. Your warranty repairs service is awful and my parents have been without a working refrigerated for 5 weeks as your repair contractors cannot make an appointment. They had an appointment today that was postponed to 8/20 and they are just ready to buy another fridge at this point. Never buying an LG product again.
Having a similar problem, ive had to fix my grandmothers refrigerator almost every week, misaligned doors, stuck water dispenser button, ice mechanism, led side panel, its driving me nuts
I purchased LG refrigerator in 2015, but just 3 days after reaching the 5-year mark, the temperature started rising. During the technician's visit, the floor was damaged, and I requested compensation for that. Despite multiple inquiries, there has been no action taken in the 7 months since, with the response stating that it's still under review. A refrigerator malfunction occurred just after 5 years, with no compensation for food loss and damage to the floor. I will never buy LG products again. Be cautious
My advice is DON'T BUY ASIAN ELECTRONIC CONTROL PANEL APPLIANCES OF ANY TYPE. Stick with buttons, knobs, & manual on/off appliances. Guarantee ur b more satisfied. The old saying "they don't make em like they use to" is TRUE.
