As per this video, if you've checked the rails and unable to find any obstructions or frost build up, you'd need to apply a NSF H1 grade grease that is water-resistant and operable in cold temperatures to the rails to ensure they glide as they should. How do you suppose I'm supposed to check for frost buildup (on my self defrosting fridge/freezer), or grease it....When the freezer drawer is locked shut!!??? And No, I did not lock it. Tried using your lock/unlock button located in the fridge, last night. Nope! Just locked it up more! Of course it's 2 Months Outside of your 1 year manufacturer warranty! 😡 Guess I won't replace the rest of my kitchen appliances with matching LG products.

Same. it's been that way since I bought it same with the oven that came with it. U can't even preheat it u have to put the food in bc you can't open the door after u turn it on & it only turns on once a day and my freezer has never opened. Just a crack. Clearly they make it with garbage rails if everyone has this problem. Piece of trash

I think a good place to start is letting the freezer defrost for 24 hours. I had left the freezer drawer ajar which caused melting which might have froze on the tracks when cold returned. I noticed that the drawer seemed stuck on the right side. I jerked the drawer to the left side and then back to the right. For whatever reason this made it free up and now it slides opens freely.
