Ye Thiha Tun I'm actually talking about recent times, when they launched the Blackberry Passport for example.. they already had Android apps for a long time, yet the phone still got flack just for being "stragne shape", people didn't bother if shape was actually usefull or not

If you buy Galaxy phones or iPhones yeah.. They all look the same. If you miss as you said the different shapes and styles of the old phones, the Lg G series is something very different from what everybody is used to nowadays.

I actually want this design back. No cracking of screens when in a pocket. The satisfying SNAP when you hang up. Yup. Could drop it and not much happens besides a battery popping out.

Maybe Next year when Samsung comeout with these flexible screens It would be a good idea for a new model for truly innovative phone. It will be awesome to have a flip phone with a 5" folded screen. -- Sorry for my bad "Engrish"

Is it the keyboard she likes or the flip because Blackberry still exists if it's a keyboard problem. Also windows phone/ios is well known for being easy to learn.

***** You're welcome. I'm not sure that phone is available to buy yet, I've searched for it too and come up with nothing. If you do find it however, just make sure you check what frequency bands it runs on to make sure it will work in your country.

My first phone was some motorola phone back in 2002. To tell you the truth, i really like the luxury of today's phones. It was a pain in the rear to text on the numeric keypad or to type a web address and then surf the web. Don't forget about buying 30 second ringtones for 1.99. When I popped my sim card back into my LG shine (my last dumb phone) i couldn't go an hour with it. People want to go back to using those phones are crazy. I miss those days but phones are doing what i only dreamed of back in the early to mid 2000s. I always wanted to watch movies and videos on a portable device and now its easy to take for granted.

id love to get one of these for my mum. she doesn't want a touchscreen only phone & still uses a flip phone. this would be perfect to ease her into smart phones. i'd definitely pick one up for myself as well

I was thinking about having a high spec flip Android phone years ago but no companies were making it. LG have made a good start but could be better. Forexample you can easily have 2 batteries (1 on the keypad size) and add fingerprint, heart-rate monitor. Also one of the best features woud be an Universal IR Blaster. Buttons always feel better to change the channels without looking at touchscreen. Also your lcd screed could be protected by flip. I woudnt reccomend having a keyboard buttons. Most would still prefer touch type specialy new generation. Big screen size would be a problem having flips. But will other manufacturers make one? Irl be dissapointed if no.

Isn't the Samsung Galaxy Golden 2 a much better option? It also has an external 4.6 Super AMOLED display and runs KitKat 4.4.4.

i enjoy flip phones & wished the States would manufacture more of them in the market today. i still have my kept away LG dLite GD570 flip phone which in Korea it's call the Lollipop. in my opinion it's a great cell phone!

I love this, sure the specs are on the lower end, but it looks like they've made it fit the form-factor fairly well from the video. I can't imagine they'd sell many here, but I'd love to play with one!

while I am still and will always be a lover to my Nexus 4, once in a while I like to put my SimCard in my HTC Desire Z :) - the last great hinge-phone OEMs should make mid-to-high spec phones similar to the Desire Z. THAT would make me glad.

I have 2 flip phones but they don't work anymore. Someone on my bus had one last year and everyone hated on it but I actually thought it was cool because it was a new one and it actually had lots of cool features and a nice screen. Although I think the flip phone is cool, I do think it's time to move on now.

I have been using my LG D'Lite Flip Phone since 2011. While the camera no longer works, I still really love my phone. I would love the LG Ice Cream! I hope they fix whatever kinks tmobile told me they have, and make it this way soon! :D

i actually love nokia phones. i got my nokia cdma phone on 2006, and its still in a good condition until now. and im still using it. no errors, even tho it went fall from the 3rd floor of my aunt's house. good quality with affordable price

I can understand what would be useful, a flip phone, in portrait, something that hasn't been tried, hey throw a second display on top when closed(even try for something fancy like an e ink, then there's a phone that just might hit more attention.

The screen on both the wine smart and ice cream are of the same size as the iphone 4s(and every iphone befre that), so that means that the display is small but defiantly usable.

A second try? I never had a cell phone in my life, but now we need some for business. After ton of browsing around and lot of disappointment, we decided to import them. We were unanimous; it was love at first sight! Honestly, I think it looks awesome and would match quite well a black suit. We would have taken it even without the touch screen; but it's an amazing bonus! (I wonder if you can invoke a visual keyboard on the screen?)

I wish there was higher-end version with a better camera CPU/GPU, and RAM, but understandably this a niche product. I wear a fanny pack when I travel and flip phones should provide better protection from all the stuff crammed in there like keys and whatnot. I'm still carrying an old Xperia X10 mini because of the small form factor but it is prone to scratching.
