On June 7, 2024, the National LGBT Rights Organization LGL hosted an international conference "LGBTQI+ Inclusive Education in a Diversity-Promoting Society" as part of the "Lithuanian Pride" festival at Vilnius City Hall.
The conference focused on:
Ensuring discrimination-free education regarding sexual orientation and gender identity
The right to inclusive and science-based sexuality education
Empowering LGBTQI+ youth to combat bullying
Best practices from Nordic and other countries in these areas
Featuring presentations by inclusive education specialists and experts, the event attracted numerous international participants.
Organized in collaboration with the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, and Vilnius City Municipality.
