The reservoirs on the left are maintained by Manchester Corporation waterworks, and supply water to the suburbs of Manchester. Great videos, love riding in the cab with you and experiencing some of your journeys. Regards Les
Enjoyed the run today from your view from a HGV as I ride that area quite a bit on the motorbike, not the roads you took of course. When you passed Langsett on the A616 I go passed the reservoir and over the Strines towards Ladybower or another popular biking road over Holmemoss and drop down onto Woodhead Pass (where you passed the two biguns from Wigan) I cross over there at the Woodhead Reservoir and take the back road over the tops to Glossop.
Great video Barry buitifull scenery. I couldnt agree with you more about them 2 B- - t- - ds i wiould have done the same to them myself. Keep the videos coming Barry great veiw from your cab 🚛🚛🚛👍
If your employer is smart he will watch your videos and understand it’s better to keep a good driver who comes and goes with them than be hunting for a new one who might not give a shit. Either way do what’s best for you mate, plenty HGV work out there 👍
You're correct, but unfortunately, nowadays employers don't give a fcuk about their employees. Employers get home to their families every night. It's all about the money!
Great video Barry, I enjoyed the view. The Victorians did some great things back in the day, we couldnt do it today because folks will want a tea break every 5 mins and the weather will be too cold and wet and there will be grumbles about backs hurting etc. Its a bit rough keeping you out on a Friday night especially when you have responsibilities at home.
Ahh glad you got sporradactyls dinkles and popsypings back, I thought you were going sane for a moment there, (re last video on the clickety click!) Love you mate keep it up, son!
Hey Up Baz, sorry to hear about the job, but as you've said, pastures new in the new year! Wood head Pass, been driving that on a weekly basis for the past 13 years (In a Car) Could drive that road blindfold! Lol Nice to see the view from a HGV perspective. Keep up the good work and stay safe
Your vids usually see me experiencing some flood of memory B. When you were describing the water works, a layby on the right was my usual stopping point for a break when working nights and driving from Liverpool to Grimsby, around midnight (ish) Great days but I wouldn't want it now. I've walked over those moors too, Black Hill off to the right and Bleaklow to the left. I have no regrets however lonely they may seem, they have a magic of their own. Keep the dashcam turning B. Love it.
Wagon sounds mint that's from the cab I'd love to drive trucks but I'm 54 to old now I drive diggers brought up on a farm love diesel engines but I'd not stay out Mrs disabled so I can't be a proper trucker love your videos mate
Barry you did infact drive over the Woodhead Pass!! The main connection between two major Northern Industrial cities of Sheffield and Manchester.Transport groups for years having been trying to reopen the Woodhead rail tunnel which you passed over
great vid barry, borderline getting home every friday would cheese any driver off, but we all know the load comes first🙁 stay safe keep the vids coming 👍
Merry Christmas, I see ya point running in on a Saturday gives you no time off. Hopefully, it will work out, do ya think because of the Xmas rush or just getting the max loads. Do ya get time and a half to run in on a Saturday?, when does normal time become overtime?
Good fun, watched all of that. Yep Tintwistle is absolutely f well leathered with trucks. They never finished the m67. It's actually very surprising to hear a non local encounter it and say do they get annoyed by all the traffic. Yes is the short answer. Stay safe dude! Thanks👍💪😎
What are your thoughts on average speed cameras, I think there dangerous cos your constantly looking at your speedo plus they can track you it's a means of control its wrong
I missed your commentary on the last video Barry. Keep talking please as your views on life, the driving industry, the route, the weather, other drivers etc is sadly missing. As well as shouts of "MIRRORS"..."MINDFUL"..."A BIGGIN' FROM WIGAN" of course...
Hi Barry great video, I think sometimes when you start a new job, the employer will push a little to see how far they can push you, but if they keep doing it, there's plenty of other jobs about
True. They play on your consciousness. You make the rod for your own back. If you were lazier, they would tolerate more of that. Perhaps all haulage firms do this, because the business is so competitive. Good luck next time, but watch your own back.
You went past were I live Tintwistle reser supplies Manchester traffic is a night mare you was lucky there wasn't long queue im just after cricket club what was your right in Tintwistle great video barry that camrea doesn't work on Mottram Moor
I have officially adopted your phrase " Big'un from Wigan ". The camera you saw was an old Tameside Council speed camera, they stopped working years ago.
I hate that pass.. Ended up there some 10 times by mistake.. Who goes there willingly :).. And snake pass.. F... Horrible.. At snake pass is closed for trucks now..
