Absolutely lovely the way Little House was able to include things like Happy Birthday baby Jesus. This worked because it was subtle and used sparingly.

@djinnmasterkeladry The pony was a Christmas gift to nelly. I doubt they would try to buy the pony back...but with the money Charles didn't have to spend for the second stove, I guess he could look around for another pony for Laura. And I agree about the shirt lol.
That left two things unresolved! For one, there's another stove coming! I thought that they'd buy back Bunny with it! Also, Ma's shirt :( She should have given it too! He'd have two shirts then!
Nell’s said he would order the stove for Charles but didn’t knowing that Laura already bought one. The reason Ma hid the shirt was to let Mary have the praise for the shirt and to avoid awkwardness of getting two shirts exactly alike. I’m sure she would have told Charles about it later.
Everyone but Mary got their presents f'd up. That's what happens when you go round lying your asses off. Mary also lied but she was punished with being made blind in later life. Just jokes don't harass me.
@LadyDazed420 Charles asked for the order form to order the stove himself, remember? He didn't leave it to Mr Oleson. I suppose youre right about the shirt though since Caroline just bought the shirt, while Mary went through all the trouble to make it :)
