the real Laura must have been so clever. it's no wonder she's her pa's favorite. and Melissa Gilbert was such a sweet adorable little girl. little girls can melt the meanest heart--maybe even the devil himself. even Sprague couldn't be mean to her but he tried.
It's funny how Mrs. Oleson says she has the leading business. There are only 3-4 businesses aren't there? The mill, the feed and seed, and the store. Later on they open up the hotel and restaurant. The post office really isn't a business per se.
@seanfried But Mr. Hanson does not look so old to me ... besides, there´s nothing wrong with a husband being some years older than his wife ... just my opinion.
