Thank you. 'Drunken Concubine' is about the concubine - Li YuGang, coming before the Emperor - Dimash, for treason. The Emperor is sentencing her to death. The concubine reminds him of the wonderful time that they had together when drunk. He responds that he wishes that they could have one more time together like that. Li Yugang is a famous singer in the Peking Opera, where he plays female roles in the ancient traditional manner. This song is interspersed with 'Diva Dance'. I think this is one of the most interesting duets that I've ever heard. I love it and the more I've listened to it the more I like it.

Li is playing the operatic part of the female concubine, whilst Dimash is the emperor….it is about a goodbye drink as she is to be executed. Li Yugang sings female parts in Chinese opera and is very famous there.

Love this performance!!! Drunken Concubine in dialogue the tragic story between a famous concubine of the Chinese imperial court, Li Yugang in that role, and the emperor, Dimash’s rol that’s why the throne at stage. At the end of the story the concubine is poisoned as a result of court intrigues. Li Yugang is a famous artist considered China’s National Treasure and he is a nan dan singer (male playing female roles) art forms from Peking Opera, giving the traditional art a modern edge. The way he moves (knees bent together and those "meows" have a special meaning in the traditional opera). What is most amazing about Li is that he couldn’t study in the university or conservatory of music, he is absolutely autodidact which is so admirable!! 👌👍💥 ❤️🎤🔝 One of the things a I love the most of Dimash is his versatility and his ability to show us different cultures through the music. In this case with Li Yugang, they have made a perfect match with the traditional Peking Opera style, beautiful 🌟

In addition to the extraordinary Dimash we have Li Yugang: Ancient Chinese tradition prevented women from performing for men at the Old Opera House in Beijing. From this tradition came a style called “Nan Dan” in which the man plays a female role in the Beijing Opera. One that was a restriction, today turned into culture and the greatest exponent of this culture in China is the singing and performer Li Yugang: Who created his own theatrical play (Who toured the world in 2015) and released several CDs (successfully of sales) he won 4 Denny award in Beijing.

That was an interesting reaction. There are different energies in people. I know Dimash has the best energy of any human I've ever seen. It's always appropriate and always jaw-dropping. I don't know the other singer but he did have a different energy, however it's never occurred to me that it mattered much. It looked like it was fun competition with both appreciating each others talents. I'm sure everybody envys DIMASH ❤😂 Doesn't matter what sex you are, how old you are, or what part of the planet and even universe are from, you can easily fall in love with Dimash each time you hear him over and over. Dears grow everyday with new listeners hearing to THE GOAT.

In chinse traditional opera there are just men singers. So parts of women is singing by men. This singer is traditional 'femal' voice. Dimash is traditional western opera singer. The clash of this two type of opera voices is interesting.

Li Yugang outfit is the Chinese traditional outfit for men. If you watch old Chinese movie you will see this kind of outfit for men. Yes, Li Yugang voice is feminine because he is a Chinese opera singer. In Chinese opera men sing for women roles. It’s traditional. It still practices until today. They both are magnificent. Thank you for the great reaction.

1. please use some mic, i dont hear what you say if you talk with music on 2. there is no male vs female here. this song was one of many "tradition music vs modern music" when they combine old chinese songs with modern ones. Dimash was part of few of them. this time traditional opera singer with old traditional chinese song + Dimash and supermodern song DIVA DANCE

Dimash is a miracle, so his absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Dimash has God's kiss on his heart!!!! Dimash's cerebral hemisphere are like the mathematics of song. The precision, the climax of the pieces, the breath control, all are mathematical. Nothing higher, nothing lower. Absolute accuracy !!! Not to mention, he has the number of destiny 7, the number of God. One more proof that Dimash is sent by God in the art of love through song!!!

It's my understanding that China had Dimash under an 8 year contract for allowing him to fist appearing on the Chinese Singer Show in 2017 which brought him worldwide attention. (Because of covid, some of that time was extended because he could not travel to China to meet his contractual obligations. But it has always appeared (to me, at least) that Dimash was always directed by the Chinese as to whom he was to sing with and on what occasion. It usually appeared that Dimash was fulfilling his contractual obligations (and possibly still is) with each performance in China. Although he surely appreciates his Chinese fans, and obviously made many good friends there along the way.

That's from the centuries old tradition of males doing all female parts because women were not allowed to in the culture.

Please what do mean with “interesting” and “curious” ? Two words that you use very often… but that sound empty. Sometimes it seems to me you don’t know what to say and you just make comments at random. That doesn’t convince me and it is kind of disrespectful.

Pausing during a song is an instant thumbs down. Usually they are people with English as their first language doing that and they would type 'there' instead of 'their'.

You did a great reaction, and thank you. Li YuGang is a traditional Chinese Opera singer in which he normally wears full length costumes, and his style of singing is that you never see his lips move while singing. I added a link for you to get more info. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_opera_costume
