Only 300?? Lmfao! I'm probably somewhere near a grand. I normally don't really ever comment on RU-vid, or any socal media for that matter. But this is somehow different. I think it matters. This may be the best rock n roll song of all time imho, and this may be the best live performance of said song. Bottom line, Liam you're a beast! Best frontman of all time. So clearly I'm "Team Liam" for life!!! I like Noel too, but Liam's voice was the soundtrack of my youth. Noel, you suck big butts! Give up on the weird cosmic pop thing that NO ONE IS LISTENING TO. IT REALLY DOES SUCK. I've tried to listen to it, and I've really wanted to like it because hey, you're Noel Gallagher. And I love the songs you've written in the past. But in the end, this new stuff... well it's just awful mate. I mean really bad. Its time to face facts. Liam doesn't need you, as evidenced by his meteoric rise as a solo act. And this is the God's honest truth, My 4 year old daughter loves ANY Oasis(or Liam) song I play for her. But She asks me if I can please put on the Transformers cartoons when I play her any of Noel's High Flying Birds. That's not meant as a dig either. Just the truth. I've bought a lot of Noel's stuff, and tried hard to get into it. I just couldn't. Then, When I play Liam doing that MTV Unplugged show at Hull, she starts dancing and singing along like she's in the rhythm section. Lol. She knows all the words to Wall of Glass and Cast No Shadow. AND SHE'S 4 YEARS OLD!!! And she loves it. She loves Liam singing. The music you guys made as Oasis is clearly timeless. Some of the best ever. I put it in the same class as the Beatles, Stones, and Zeppelin. But it's time to face reality Noel, Liam's voice first, and your writing second is what made it work. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! Noel, come to your senses, and for God's sake get the band back together you "Wankah" . You need a real singer anyway. " Why not Liam, Why not now? " sounds like a great name for a first Oasis reunion album. Lol.
Nice little detail for geeky Liam fans such as me. At 1:08 right after signing the first line he asks for the mic volume to be increased, rightly so. When they finally put it up, and after complaining a bit, liam approves at 1:48. And he was fucking right. That is a great ear if you ask me!
True of every gig I've seen him do, from the Astoria in '94 to a little show in 2008 promoting Dig Out Your Soul that was so bad Noel got shitfaced and ended up hammered on the Chris Moyles show the following morning. Front of house is never loud enough for Liam. I think Oasis spent years with their monitors at 100%, and earliier, with no monitors at all. Liam clearly likes to feel the bass through his chest. And why not, tinnitus notwithstanding :)
Is voice is sounds like 2005, but he's actually nailing the notes here! Unfortunately his actual tone will never be like the 90s, but his singing talent can always improve, and he's got the talent, he just needs to take better care of his voice lol
Exactly! He's sounding quite magnificent here! The whole time I thought his voice was going to crack and give way again like it always does on any video you see uploaded on RU-vid, but this was flawless. Really made me proud to be an Oasis fan seeing him sing like this after so long.
I think it's even better, maybe a little less raw and a little more nasal, but at least it doesn't sound like he is destroying his voice while singing. He seems to be much more in control of his voice.
Step off the train All alone at dawn Back into the hole Where I was born The sun in the sky Never raised an eye to me The blood on the tracks, And they must be mine The fool on the hill, And I feel fine Don't look back 'cause you know What you might see Look into the wall of my mind's eye I think I know, But I don't know why The questions are the answers You might need Coming in a mess, Going out in style I ain't good-looking, But I'm someone's child No one can give me the air that's mine to breathe I met my maker I made him cry And on my shoulder He asked me why His people won't fly Through the storm I said listen up man, They don't even know you're born All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah I don't really care For what you believe So open up your fist Or you won't receive The thoughts and the words Of every man you'll need Get up off the floor And believe in life No one's ever gonna Ever ask you twice Get on the bus And bring it on home to me I met my maker I made him cry And on my shoulder He asked me why His people won't fly through the storm I said "Listen up man, They don't even know you're born" All my people right here, right now They know what I mean Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now They know what I mean Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now They know what I mean Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah All my people right here, right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah
Tom Faron Yeah it was acv and honey or something. Tbh I think he would of tried anything because his voice was bad for years. But it's solid again now and he's happy again.
I'm sure if oasis did get back together(which they won't) they would put out a very mature but very needed rock and roll album. It's a shame that it won't happen. Noel... come on man..
Noel doing his new sounding shit with liam signing could sound pretty good and fresh. In dont think anyone wants an Oasis 1995 sounding retread of rocks ballads. thats basically what Heathen Chemistry was
@@ads2686 can’t compare the two mate liams got his own solo career which is good in its own right but if ur the reason that some of the best songs ever made were so loved in the first place of course you’re going to play them, plus he knows that’s why most people turn up and he’s happy to oblige
@Off With your head Hear'Say's Pure and Simple bore a striking resemblance to All Around the World as well Girls Aloud's Life Got Cold being similar to Wonderwall, so Green Day isn't the only one to have borrowed motives from Oasis. I also love Oasis and Green Day, although both bands were definitely at their peak in the 90s.
God Like , do you know what I mean! having Legends like Liam Gallagher in this Crazy World will always make Me happy with life whatever shit is going Down
Glad that Liam's resurfaced some of the Be Here Now tracks if only he'd dust off I Hope, I Think, I Know, My Big Mouth and It's Gettin' Better Man then I'd be happy.
All of those songs are crazy out of his vocal range now. It would be pretty hard to lower the key of songs like I Hope I Think I Know because they're quite complicated. I can definitely see him doing My Big Mouth tho, he did that in the late Oasis days with a key drop and it even still sounded pretty good back when his voice was basically dead
The original version was cool back then, but from today's perspective I actually like this one over the old one. The sound here is much more clear up to the modern standards, and you can clearly hear every instrument. I liked the guitar guy too, it's cool that he plays through his own personality, not just copying what Noel used to do. But the director could do better and bother to at least show the guitar player during his solo for more than just 1 last second, lol. Anyway thank you for the video, subscribed - let's get our teen years back!
It s wrong. He plays with very good musicians I think but in Festivals they have to share the stage with other bands so it s hard to get their own configuration every time
Its always the band this & that!?!? Bollocks man, do u think Liam wouldn't have Top Class musicians!!! The band are Class!!!! The BBC mixing is terrible!!! End Of
@@eddysandland58 nah mate the band is pants...noel Gallagher's set up Is much better...money talks... I think the drummer and guitarist goes for 2nd album...
The first 90 seconds he's giving hand signals for the volume to increase. He's in complete control of that stage, to be able to quiet a crowd to talk, to be a band leader. Command is a better word.
