Can you do a scouting report on Trevor Connelly please

I will most likely do one but it'll be closer to the draft. He's very talented but his game needs to progress into less of a one man show imo. I want to see how or if he will adapt his game later in the season.

How does Greentree compare to Colby Barlow from last year's draft?

It's a hard question to answer because of the recency bias but I think Greentree has the Higher Ceiling while Barlow has the higher floor. Barlow will always have his hard nosed crash the net skill to fall back on if the rest doesn't work. While Greentree has more pure skills, better hands, better passer and better hockey sense I think, he doesn't have the same presence around the net. Like I said in the video he can really really shoot those rebounds but Barlow really CRASHES the net. In the end, I think I'd take Greentree over Barlow.

Skating is ok? I aint be trusting nothing you say

Lol, understandable. I kinda expected more reactions like that it's not great right now but I think he will end up right around NHL average which is why I gave him a 6 on my scale. It might not get there but I'd bet on him. But at the same time, I'm not as harsh as others when evaluating Skating. I tend to be more lenient.

Understandable, but hes projected in the first round which is 100% the right spot @@bluechipprospect

His skating is not good right now… but if his stride mechanics is alright, that means by just adding STRENGTH & POWER & working on his EXPLOSION then he’ll end up at NHL average skating (at least)

So far, I'm not a fan of this draft class. I think the dmen are mostly overrated and forwards, outside of Celebrini, Lindstrom and Demidov, are just ok. But, I do like this kid. I hope you can eventually talk about guys like Nikita Artamonov, Konsta Helenius, and/or Tij Iginla. But, I'm happy with any content you put out! Keep them coming!.

Yeah, I’m not sure it’s going to end up being the deepest draft but in my opinion the top 15 seems loaded and there’s still plenty of time for it to grow. I’m sure there’s also going to be plenty of gems left past that first half. Players like Zeev Buium who has played above his age group and excelled for years now and others like Artanomov playing excellent hockey for a KHL club that seems to be riding high on their young guns. There’s definitely no talent like Bedard in this draft but there’s many many players, especially offensive players who are putting ridiculous numbers and others with tremendous skill that are underperforming. It’s also going to be interesting to see how players like Levshunov, Parekh, Hutson, Buium, Kiviharju end up developing. I’m happy you enjoy the content and I’ll do as a many players as possible including top 10s like last season. Cheers !

I’m gonna continue to trust in the Montreal Canadiens drafting, They took Slafkovsky in 2022 which was who I wanted, They passed on Offensively gifted players for a Stud RD which I understand because we didn’t have a RD in the system with the potential of Reinbacher and you need solid RDs to win the cup in the NHL, Look at the leafs lol can never win with their 4 80-100 point players because they have 2 massive wholes on RD… I have heard Liam Greentree may be the player the Habs draft this year and i am not to thrilled about that possibility, He has good character he’s a captain, But The Habs need another bonafide Top 6 player and Liam Greentree has good potential but I see him as a great 3rd liner… the Habs need Speed and potential, I’m hoping the Habs pick Berkly Catton or Trevor Connelly, I do not care that Connelly is a “one man show” we have enough character two way players in the system we can afford to have a player like Connelly who in my opinion is like Trevor Zegras, Berkly Catton would be my first choice because he seems to have a good character and is a very smart player with First line potential… If the Habs are looking at a player like Greentree I would rather them pick Tij Iginla because he’s better than Greentree in my opinion, If they want a dynamic forward Catton or Connelly would be the way to go, If they want a strong goal scorer Tij Iginla would be the way to go…. Great Video bud I like how you break down these prospects 👍🏻🔥

Yeah, I was on the Slafkovsky train too. Pretty sure I even mentioned it in my Slafkovsky scouting report on this channel. On the other hand, I was really not on the Reinbacher train. I had him outside my top 10. Hope I'm wrong on this one. I would be very surprised if a team picked Greentree in the top 10 with the amount of high end forwards and defenseman there is. I like him, I have him in the first half of the 1st round but top 10 ! That would be crazy. Honestly, I'll be very happy with anyone of Demidov, Catton, Eiserman, Lindstrom and even D's like Dickinson, Levshunov, Yakemchuk. I'm still not on the Connelly in the top 10 train but I'm not too far from it either. I still have issues with the decision making though so I'm not sure I'll get there. And thanks ! I'm happy you enjoy the content.

If that can address your projection of a 3rd liner for Greentree… Here are my player comps for him : -Jason Robertson -Matt Boldy -Anthony Mantha (minus the character issues) -Slafs (with poorer skating) -Mark Scheifele (but winger instead of center) -Mark Stone -Blake Wheeler
