The Doppelganger Detection Department (D.D.D.) needs you!
There is a vacancy for the doorman position in your building and since you need the money and can't find a job you have no choice.
It's 1955 and for unknow reasons doppelganers are more common than normal, so the D.D.D. has taken action on the matter.
Your job will be to allow or deny the entry of the subjects who request entry to the building, it seems easy, but be careful, you can't overlook any detail because you could be food for doppelgangers.

I support splitting between normal and nightmare…. I feel like nightmare gets repetitive after a while, as we get a bunch of duplicates of the same neighbor, even after we already let them in and we immediately knew it wasn’t a doppelganger :’) Feels like the neighbors are more randomized in the normal one. But that’s just my perception

@@tatersoup nah, what they said still works. they know the neighbor they let in is not a doppelganger since doppels kill immediately if let inside. so then every doppel after is immediately identifiable as a doppel, and there tends to be many doppels of the same neighbor.

Because he's looked at them so much already and spotted other differences so he knew what it should look like. Like Xezbet's tattoos. He noticed how the little u shapes were supposed to be upside down and they were right-side up on the doppel. So later on when they were just dots and not even u shapes, he knew it was wrong immediately.

Imagine for the snakes, if one is missing you would need to ask about appearance anyway because it could have slithered to the back and asking would prompt her to say that it moved and it would reappear. Also would be neat if you can click on the photos in the files to enlarge them to see better.

Nightmare seems to just be easier - yeah there's more details to look out for but dying immediately if you get one wrong means you just have to remember who you let in. If they come again there is nothing to check, can't doubt your previous decision if you're not dead.

Its not easier per se, it just means you didnt lose sooner. You already lost the moment you let in a doppelganger, but the horror of normal and nightmare comes in differently from how you described that youre still unsure if the one you let in normal mode was really the neighbor or a doppel whereas in nightmare you feel your heart stop in anticipation between the agonizing seconds where its silent between each interaction if an entity walks to your window, or the death takes you in the form of hands.

@@reignpajarito6605 Oh definitely not saying nightmare is less terrifying, just that there are less people to go through because once you've let someone in and not died, you just call the cleaners if you see them again, no need to check anything

@@hellou667thesequel5 None of it is unfair, you just have to analyze thoroughly. It's also called "nightmare mode," it's going to have some differences that are difficult to spot. You also just named the two of the easiest things to spot. Quachil has no mouth, but can still speak unlike the mouthless doppels in arcade mode, so telepathy is assumed. Quachil also moves up and down at a speed that is easy to see.

For the achievement "Murdered by the entity", you have to kill two neighbours, the ghost face that appears in the wall when doing so, is the entity. Hope this helps! :)
