I never knew chopsticks was like this. I'm in love with Liberace. I just now found him. I've been watching him for the past 3 days. Anything I can find. Genius.
Hi Lindsey, Isn't he wonderful ? I myself found Liberace only last June in 2020. Really, I never liked the piano much before, but listening to him has made me change my mind. He is always beaming with joy and on top a very nice man. You can look forward to many more great clips, and please read his autobiography. You can get it on Ebay.
@@cathrinrehder6652 I will definitely read it. He's so amazing and wonderful. I just want to hug him and just be a friend. God rest his sweet soul. Truly a beautiful soul 😍
@@lindseypate4306 Wow, Alabama ... Isn't it great that Liberace has his fans all over the US and the world ? I hope you are doing well in the pandemic ! 🤗🎵
That's because, while he was an excellent showman, by the standards of true concert pianists, he was mediocre at best. You've got to be watching him to be experiencing what made him great.
Hey Biggest ... a couple times a year, MERV would tape a week of shows in Vegas. Lee was appearing in Vegas that week and also dropped by to tape Merv. BTW ... thanks for all the videos you have shared with all of us .... !! Smilin' Jack
I love that Liberace plays this without any studio band accompaniment. It's great to hear just him playing, and to see so many close-ups of his hands as he plays! Thank you for posting this! I had never seen it before.
AMEN to that!!!!, what we have now is total garbage!!!! all we have now is drum machines, auto- tune( for those who can not sing or stay on key), and computers to put it all together.
A rare performance without his candelabra. Also, this piano wasn't a Baldwin. Whenever Lee played on television, he was supposed to have a Baldwin grand. When the venue wasn't able to provide a Baldwin, the name of the piano had to be covered due to Lee's gentleman's agreement with Baldwin.
