dude, these videos are awesome!!! for me the best finding on youtube for this year, im watching youtube vids for over 10 years now and it's hard to find something good these days, subscribing ✌
I’d love to contact him, I would love to help him with his recovery! Inner child work and get him out of the distraction so he can work through is traumas. I’d like to work with him go get through that! *Energetic healer💚
An openness and honesty that one rarely comes across, i'd say he is far more psychotically sound than most. Interesting to see how likeable that makes someone.
The Meaning its like reverse social media for me. On instagram I see a lot of people looking and doing better than me but here I see a struggling actor, an oxford dropout, and so on. It just makes me feel normal and makes me appreciate what I have currently in life. Also, its totally normal to be average at everything. I know social media is fake, but sometimes it just gets in my head.
They will do in 30 years. We'll look back on these days of Isis, pandemics, right-wing despot leaders, Brexit, twitter cancelations, climate change denial, extortionate rents/mortgages, mass-gentrification, police brutality and MeToo with a wistful nostalgia about how simple and naive we all were and what a care-free time it was to be alive. Compared to the utter hell it will be at the time. See you then!
@@TheJensPeeters You misunderstood. What I see is a very jolly guy who does not show any signs of depression.I know depression is not necessarily circumstancial.
The charming depression-prone man. I was affected by his smile instantly. With an arshole father yet clearly so sharp in mind how is it that his father couldn’t see the wonderful son he had? Kia te aroha.
Have you not tried to sell this series? I'm sure London Live or BBC III could find a home for this work. I can't believe every random stop you make on the street is this interesting. How ever you sniff out your subjects OR you extract such good material from Joe Shmo is beyond me. Super-great series Pablo.
@Nicholas Stoult LOL Hows this? A grandmother talking about gambling as a way to destress from raising both her grandchildren by herself as their mother, her daughter, was murdered. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vc1vOXPkfew.html And that was the first link I clicked on.
Wonderful snapshots of life, imagine how it’d seem watching these interviews in 50 years time, proper time capsule stuff. Reminds me a bit of the 7up documentaries
Me and my partner say this every few weeks. We find it so difficult to find people who we connect with. Could do with living in a poor North East Industrial town in England. We don't bother with Social Media either, so feel out of the loop.
Yes I felt the same way. But I had children, I'm on the look out for depression in them.Talking and listening to my children is key and being there for them. That's all we can do.
I love this series and I lived in London. Also it’s great to see all these interesting people. Just as others have said I love the guy that lives on the boat and was a roadie then Swervedrivers tour manager. Wow!
Good that this guy talked about depression openly. This is todays epidemic and its good to talk about it and not just pop another pill. This is about childhood, lifestyle, the way we live and work. We need to be open about it and support each other. I really like watching your videos about London and people on the streets. You have this quality that people open up to you about their stuff and are honest. Which makes it very interesting. Watched propably about 10 of this, and looking forward to watch the rest. Thanks!
I got goosebumps at the end where the lady faerie is talking about rising up and then you cut to a powerful group of people calling attention to animal suffering! Amazing work
I used to be one of Soho estate agents, loved it while it lasted, left for a caribbean life in 2008, and never looked back. Thank you for these videos.
2042 for banning single use plastic?? A bill has been passed this year in New Zealand to ban single use and all major supermarkets have already voluntarily stopped using plastic bags. Even McDonalds stopped giving you a straw unless you specifically ask for one. Amazing video of course!!
Well this is a really inspiring. This makes me want to do something like this in my town, I'm not going to bite off of what I just saw but as a content creator I have a whole bunch of ideas. And that one dude that said that he was dyslexic reminds me of myself because I'm dyslexic as well and even though he's a lot older than me I still went to the same situations in school so that interview or conversation spoke out to me the most.
I just want to say how much I look forward to seeing you videos on RU-vid. The content you capture is of real people with real emotions who always seen happy to open up to you. You have a true gift for obviously making people relaxed. Don’t give up.
I have only just discovered your work today 😊😊😊 really interested in the people you speak to, really made me feel less alone today, brilliant I look forward to watching lots more, it has been a very odd year so far but people like you help people feel connected somehow, even if we haven't met. I'm the other end of the UK. ♥️ Thank you ❤️
So true about the plastic. It’s literally the only option in most shops. Nothing is without plastic packaging so its companies like tesco to change it.
so, so happy when I see you've uploaded a new streets of london video. Thank you. They always bring memories and make me think and love London even more.
1:39 - Does she not realize her hat attachments, wings, bindi are all plastic and will likely be thrown away at some point. Where will she put her bindi? That will likely be ingested by some animal as it gets lost in the dumps.
It's most likely that she got them second hand or already had them. Biodegradable glitter. Someone like her is not going to just chuck that stuff away, she obviously cares. You on the other hand are just waiting to call hypocrite to make yourself feel awright.
That's what teachers were like in those days. I was a shy kid and they assumed I was dumb. Now I'm a teacher and I try to make sure I don't do the same. Careers advisors were also Sh** they, never listened to what you wanted.
Just saying that it would be great if this program has a podcast too. I have lots of ideas about this subject and project! And should congrats Pablo for this genius act! Awesome work
Have loved wandering around soho and the west end most of my adult life, these interviews are great. Good to see the Toucan make a brief cameo shot too.. best Guinness in London if you don’t know already! Great work 👍
Its interesting that people like Jonathon Ross get paid a fortune to interview people selling a book, boring people , this is better, Joe Public has a tale to tell
Really loving your filming Pablo ..loving the real human connections you are making,I love the people you have filmed are so open and honest ..thank you so inspiring ...people always have been too me ,if we do not have each other what have we got really . I hope all is well with you during the present lock down
Awesome video, I just love this type of content. It never ceases to surprise me how revealing and open people can be with a stranger. As a street photographer myself I see this all the time. I always spend time with the people I photograph on the streets and have met many fascinating people. Again thanks for sharing their stories. Look forward to the next instalment. 👊
A friend of mine sent me this because the guy in stripy undershirt's story is very close to mine. And then to find out he lives on a boat, which has been my deeply held aspiration since I was about 18 was mad! Even the way he describes it as this shitey little death trap, that's genuinely the dream haha! Great series, glad I've come across it
Hi Pablo, your Streets of London videos are a fascinating insight to interesting people - might be interesting to extend it and ask to follow up the most interesting people e.g. the guy with the boat and film a more in depth film in their “natural habitat” - keep up the great work.....really interesting to watch :- )
Excellent upload/ interviews. I always enjoy a few days away in London for a break .As other people have commented the Guy that lives on the Boat seems a interesting person. Does anyone know if there are any other examples of his Music/ Prop work on line please. As well the Guy that was a DJ with the pet Dog?
Really enjoy your channel and in particular these videos. The stories are so captivating and thought-provoking. My two dogs have just had to wait an extra 15 mins for their walkies because I just had to click on this!
I feel sorry for Prop Maker he's such a nice guy and you can tell that he's been through a lot and he uses his sense of humor to mask his pain. I really hope the model guy becomes successful because I can tell that he's a young confused youth.
I recognize that you always put yourself out there if you are protesting anything and that i shouldn't hold her to a higher standard that I hold myself. That being said... I looked at the lady protesting plastic use, while she was wearing a plastic hat, plastic hair, plastic glitter, plastic fur, plastic wings and a plastic jacket
Wow...the set builder’s dad beat him because he was dyslexic...you don’t know what you don’t know. I have empathy toward him. I’m happy he’s resilient. However I’m sad at his occasional depressed states. No kids because he’d pass it on to them. My heart goes out to him. Thanks Pablo. Wonderful stuff here...
Just watched Martin Parr - think of England reminded so much of your videos from this series. Was it inspiration for your videos by any chance? By the way they are brilliant
