I was rejected twice by an organization that I wanted to join since I was a little girl. I felt so bad and cried. I had all the requirements and thought I would definitely get in the second time. I felt like I wasn’t good enough or popular enough. Some of the girls they chose didn’t even really do community service and didn’t have a great gpa. I was confused. But I guess God really didn’t want me to join 🤷🏾♀️
Blessings in Disguise. My experience was the opposite. I was approached by every Greek fraternity on my campus, but a girlfriend at the time said, "nothing that is good and of God is done in secret".
HalleluYah!!! I used to be a member of Delta as well. I renounced and denounced my membership to the people I pledged with back in 2018. Initially I told two members that I was closest to(witnesses). Then I told the entire line. I had previously destroyed all paraphernalia, books,pictures and anything else. I'm grateful to The Most High for delivering me, for patience, compassion, mercy, grace and forgiveness. I'm not sure if I have to reach out to the grand chapter but I will submit a resignation letter. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for sharing! Back in 2002, I was an interest in a multicultural sorority (mostly Latinas) and I was so excited to be part of this organization where I can have an elevated status. I was often at the bottom of the totem pole during high school. As days passed, it didn’t turn out what I expected to be and well, I did not fully commit myself during the interest process and I felt I was forced to do things that was against my principles and integrity. However, when it came time for the intake process, I was rejected and was advised to try again next semester. I remember feeling sad of the rejection. But I took it one day at a time and well, when I look back now, I say it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I know what you meant when you said you felt free after your denouncement. That’s what I felt too when I got rejected. Well I’ll always respect the girls in the sorority, if I did stay with them, I would’ve have met and have real friends today. When I checked the Greek website at my university, I found out that they were no longer listed and then I clicked on their website, and it no longer existed. I feel the positive vibe when you talk and something tells me that you are a truther yourself. Keep fighting for God 🙏🏼
I was an interest for an organization, I was getting the “calls”, etc and I was on track to be on line. I had a dream, I was in my dorm room and a random guy from High School showed me the letters of the organization and said “Eyek, this is not of God”. Of course I ignored and when I didn’t advance, I still went to Rush the next semester like a fool (LOL), and of course I didn’t become a member. Looking back now, I know it was for the best and I thank God for His protection! Hallelujah! God is good!
When you get so much opposition from your loved ones who are “Greek” you see the proof of the extreme “stronghold” that thing has on them. It’s very sad. I renounced DST in the late 1990s … I still have love and great relationships with those who have not but NO ONE tries me at this point😁 Love and many more Blessings to you Sis. LEt's be clear.. these organizations were founded by 18 and 19 year olds and have evolved over the years.. who knows if these "rituals" were added later or when the organization first began.. 18 years will be 18 year olds.. some of them were younger.. The older people in the organization need to revisit these customs and revise them... no one ever stated that these rituals were started by the founders.. People could have put their 18, 19 year old spin on it.... in a nut shell.. being of service to the community is a good thing but the process needs to change if its as bad as you say it is... why not ask for change and find out the history in the rituals (who's idea was it to bring them to the organization).. if it was something that started after the founders then it was not meant to be this way.. just an idea
