As someone who is in a wheelchair 90% of the day, I agree, you do not want to end up with the constant nerve pain, the pressure sores, accessibility issues, loss of independence, cost of mobility aids, and ableism that come with a permanent disability. If there’s even a 1% chance of a spinal cord injury or broken neck/spine, do not take off the collar or move until you’re cleared

But, he didn't, did he! Then he deliberately decides wilfully to undo the help that he is given. Since the NHS is over-stretched and with many people on waiting -lists, why is the NHS treating these people? And why is this unacceptable behaviour being shown?

I came to the comments to see if anyone else was annoyed by that woman. I grew up with people who hadn't been on a plane by our 10-year reunion. All my youthful vacations were to visit family, & we went by car -- from South-central TX almost to Canada (& I wouldn't trade those trips for Disney World for a million bucks). Notice she didn't say they never had holidays, just that she hadn't _flown_ until 12. Also, I hate when a stay-at-home mom (maybe she's not, but sure sounded like it) has a nanny if they're able-bodied. It just really rubs me the wrong way.

Just a geographical difference. It's easy to travel from the UK to Europe by plane, train or car. Most everyone travels abroad regularly and it's extremely affordable compared to here in the US! So funny, Jake is so tough, that he had to leave as soon as they said they were going to give him an injection for the stitches and opted to leave for glue instead. I honestly felt like he was putting on an act just for the cameras so he could say that he never follows the rules. He’ll soon either end up paralized, dead from an accident or dead from the beatings when he goes to jail. What a tool. He waisted how much time with staff, not to mention the full body and head scans. He should’ve just asked a friend to get him from the accident scene so as to not wasste anyone’s time in a crowded A & E.

That Jake guy really pissed me off! As someone someone who unfortunately has multiple autoimmune diseases and has frequent hospital stays, people like that are incredibly selfish. The whole "I'm my own person, no one tells me what to do " bullcrap is basically saying "I don't care how my actions affect others as long as I'm happy." THEN, the moron ended up having to go back anyway!!! Grow up dude!

I'm from the US, so pardon my ignorance. Would hospitals in the UK not have air conditioning? I know most homes don't have air conditioning, but i would have thought hospitals and other public spaces would have it? Can someone familiar answer? 😁 Thanks!

Brits in general are not so soft and spoiled as Murkins in general. Weather is weather, and you put up with it.

@@sarahsnowe Murkins? That sounds like a slur on the USA. Public places like office buildings, shopping spaces and, yes, hospitals have air conditioning even in areas of the country that don't get blistering hot. I live in the Northeast (look it up) where we may only get 2-3 weeks of hot and humid weather in the Summer. Many people have small air conditioners that fit in a window and only cool that particular room, usually a bedroom. in warmer areas of the country, people have central air conditioning which cools the whole house. I aim to keep my electric bill low so I only use a window fan to bring in cooler outdoor air at night. I also do "passive cooling", so I close east facing drapes in the morning, then close west facing drapes in the afternoon to block the sun. I also have a large maple tree that assists with shade in the afternoon.

When my husband and I were in Croatia in June, we had to go to the hospital for my husband. The doctors were walking around with scrubs shorts. It was hot so not sure how much a.c. the hospital actually had.

That man walked out with head injury that needed to be stitched. Got up and left without letting someone know. Looks like he doesn’t have a brain. He should have stayed at the scene. There was somebody that needed that bed for a maybe a critical condition.

I completely relate with Uzier, not with blood but with vomit. Vomit in real life, fine, no problem. Don't like it but I can keep myself together. People vomiting on TV, especially unrealistic comedy vomit has me instantly gagging.
