When I was a poor kid coming up skating I only had 3 skate tapes, and one of those was "A Visual Sound". I was just getting into skating, art, and jazz, so it was the perfect video for me to see at the time! 💚

One of the first skate videos I ever saw in the 90s was Thrashers Hitting the Streets and I always loved the goofy reporter skit that Chris did throughout that video. So good!

My dad is a Bluegrass musician and always has been all my life. But same thing growing up I was a 90s Punk hip-hop and alternative metal sword a kid or whatever wanting the most radical type of music. But now as a 30 plus year old adult I found myself going back through and really enjoying all the old bluegrass stuff that he was inspired by

I was living in Monterrey Mexico during the 80’s. The skateboard scene was similar to what he described. We worked with what we had. Mostly flea market boards until some gringos brought some real skateboards. Great memories.

I did enjoy the organic feel before the major changes… Not sure what happened to the homie doing what he does best?… I’m all for mixing it up with skaters the hosts who are not are hmmmmm guess it helps that ellis isn’t going on about how he is all in your face about how much he loves the prawn.
