I’m a South African and I stay in the US , in 2020 I told my sister to help to find a land in the village, she was like ? I said yes I don’t wanna be in jo’burg at all . I’m done with big cities in America and I want to retire in the village . My house is under construction as we speak , it is not easy to build remotely but ! Lots of challenges but it will get done . Most of my family members are laughing at me for choosing the village life ,but they don’t know that one day they will admire me . Thanks you sis for courage and encouraging people like myself
True. It's because we Africans think western style is the best. And yet people in the West admire our organic peaceful village life more than their city life. Most of them are now trying to move out of the cities but its difficult to find land in most western countries
First time here and this is exactly what am dreaming of , quite life in the village. Lived in the US for so long, the last time I went home and came back, it’s been even more depressing longing for home. Thanks for a great video. Looks so peaceful in your beautiful place. ❤
I just found your channel today, Love your home. Lifestyle. It looks so Peaceful and loving the land scape I live in Atlanta. GEORGIA, from Dallas, Texas originally. I have always wanted to live on the ocean, to wake up each morning and see it right outside my window😊 But, I'm loving the Peaceful very lovely place you have Mow that I've found you. Will be watching ❤
This is 😊 trying to build for myself. I must admit am a city gal tru & tru, but after being given a large piece of land I ve embarked on building a house there with all the mod cons of course & eventually settle there. Wish me luck, but this lady has definitely inspired me.
Jael, I love your philosophy on life in the village. My husband and I were born in the UK of Jamaican parentage. We are relocating to the rural part of Jamaica and not the city. For the exact reason you just mentioned. Enjoy your peace and harmony in the village 🥰
Which part of UK you from and which part of Yard are you heading to? If you don’t mind me asking. I’m a ‘67 baby, born in the UK, of Jamaican parentage. Pondering the same. To head from south London to the Manchester hills in JA.
@@EightyFour-s3z hi, I’m from south London and will be moving to Westmoreland, Jamaica. I have family that live in the parish of Manchester. I wish you all the best in your planned endeavours 👊🏾
@@EightyFour-s3z My advise to you is stay as far away from Jamaica as you possibly can. I am Jamaican living in the UK for the past 26yrs , I was born there and do my best to visit as often as I can. Jamaica is not a easy place to live, it has one of the highest murder rate in the world, petty crime is rampant, the road/transportation is non existent(except for the new highway built by the chinses) My advise for what its worth is to rent a place in Jamaica for a year and if you haven't changed your mind then go ahead. Best wishes.
*WOW!!!*Now that's the kind of struggle I want! I was laying awake in the small hours of the night communing with TMHY, asking which direction in life I should go.... ...born/raised in NYC, I live in a different city now, but tired of it all. I would love a quiet peaceful existence like this. This is the first time viewing your channel, I subscribed right away! Your voice is so soul soothing. Thank you. Peace and Continual Blessings!⚘
Thank you Coco. You were raised in a very fast life. You deserve some quiet slow life. You have never really lived if you've never experienced the slow life. It's some sort of heaven. Be blessed darling. I hope you find that peace you're longing for. Lots of love.
As a Chinese American, I grew up in the small town city. But this village life is so relaxing and nice and peaceful. ❤ I can't help but wish that I could live this way one day. I probably can't own land in China, though. 😅 But, a small town in America where I could buy some land and build a village homestead house would be nice. 👍
I’m Chinese too and I thought about buying land back home. Until I done some research and found out we can’t, because I think majority of the land in China is owned by the GOV. I’m turning 18 soon and I’m still researching ways to create generational wealth because I wish to break generational curses. God bless you all❤
My grandfather is in his mid to late 90s, and is still so mobile you’d be shocked, walks 2 miles everyday. I asked him how he made it to his age, he said he grew up on a farm in Haiti. They ate healthy food he loved God and he didn’t stress. He said stress is thing that will steal your life, he said the hustle and bustle that the ppl in US endure everyday was not his reality. Also everyone stopped working at a certain time so work-life balance was real. I’m born and raised in Bklyn, NY but I’m an island girl at heart and I feel so drawn to this peace. Thank you for sharing this with us ❤❤
My sister you are living in a good place. You are only missing pollution and all sorts of bad stuff. Iam sure your food is organic. The Pumpkins are looking so fresh.
I was born and raised in the United States and I would give anything to live where you are for the peace. First time watching your channel and I think it's beautiful❤😊
@divineoracle745: you do know that USA and all the countries in the world have countrysides right? You just have to pick and choose and you can live like that anywhere.
I love the fact that you took a leap of faith (everyone isn’t able to understand your vision). It is only you who knows what is best for you. Keep on living the good life, and as long as you are happy with your life… that is all that matters. Remember, that peace of mind is priceless. Stay blessed my sister❤
I only just discovered your channel. Love it! Beautiful home. Wonderful vibes! So inspiring. I was born and bred in the city but I prefer dala any time now and forever 🙌🏽
This is the second video I've seen today about living the life that you're living. I grew up in a rural countryside in Jamaica. There's so much I miss there. I'm 73 years old and have been away for 56 years . Seeing two videos in a day leave me yerning. I knew I wanted chicken and goats and something like your life. But I am too old . This is what I've been looking for for so long but couldn't figure it out. You look happy and content. I wish you much blessings
Your video came up in my algorithm & I instantly subscribed!! I'm in the US & from what's considered the country; same meaning as village. I absolutely love it. Lived in major cities all my life, but it just isn't the same. Your video reminded me of exactly why! So peaceful, fresh air, I enjoy the livestock, sitting on the porch w/ my morning coffee. And you just can't beat the stars at night. Thank you for sharing with us & God bless!
I'm a first time viewer and a native New Yorker and you consider it the village and I view it as country living with my roots being from the south. I was born and raised in the city, but grew up to just LOVE this lifestyle. Thanks for Sharing doll!
Move to Western New York near Buffalo in between Pennsylvania and New York State like on the way to the Canadian border there's plenty of land kinda like where the Amish live when I lived in the States I really loved that area it's so peaceful and they have real fall weather lol
Those who never grew up in the village can't relate. The peace of mind, the fresh air etc. And with electricity etc connected its even better. You can also order things online and let them delivered in the village. Fresh mothers nature air..... ❤❤❤❤❤
Actually most of the people who appreciate and move back in large numbers to the village are those who were brought up in the city and just can't take the congestion and rat race anymore. Unfortunately a large number of those who grew up in the village seem to be relocating to the city.
Actually I think it's quite the contrary..people who grew up in the village are always trying to get away to the city...they don't really appreciate the beauty and simplicity of village life. It is those born and raised in the city that wish for that simple life.
Well, I grew up in a village. It wasn't pretty like this one. We had an eyeful of poverty. After that came the want of food and clothes, lack of education and upward mobility (especially for women). In winter everything was grey, sky, roads, buildings, people. Consequently, the city has always looked pretty good to me.
I was on a long road trip from Missouri to North Carolina when your video was recommended. I love village/country… then I saw you were a female person of color like myself, even better!😊 I didn’t get to finish the first time but subscribed. I noticed the subscribers numbers were in the 5 thousands, I love finding gem channels like this with not as much subscribers because I noticed that most of the content creators with higher subscribers lose their authentic self so-to-speak and the content feels forced. Not all, just some. I know that growth in subscription is vital and very well encouraged, nothing wrong with that. But you went from over 5k to now over 8k subscribers as I have come back in less than a week since you posted this video!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I truly hope you get all the success coming your way, and stay true to yourself which I can definitely see happening. But you’re already winning sis, this is the type of life many want and are preparing for; unfortunately for many it will only remain a dream. Peace and Blessings to you and your daughter 🕊
Where in Missouri are you from? Missouri had many rural parts and a balance of city life as well. I was in KC two weeks ago and it was quite nice. A nice balance of city and rural.
@@XTRABIGyes, you’re absolutely correct! I’m in south Kansas City. Love it here. I’m in the research stages of trying to find my humble country beginnings but I must say, I’m a little hesitant for some areas in Missiouri as a solo female and of color. I’d like to start a lavender farm here in MO rural/countryside. I love the smell of lavender and the purple color so 2 in 1 deal 😊 A small food garden would be pleasing as well.
Made me nostalgic. From Arkansas in southern USA, reminded me of grandparents, Chickens, gardens, fishing, not a hurried life. Simple and full💜 thanks for sharing!
You came up on my feed today, refreshing! I am amazed at how "rich" the soil is! Great for growing. Thank you so much for sharing your lifestyle. Absolutely loved the video!❤❤
Some people have the mentality that living in the village means that one is struggling, not necessarily. In my family we are all urban born and bred, but we prefer the village. My siblings and cousins have created their own paradise in the rural areas. They spend only 2-3 days in the city and the rest of their holidays enjoying the peaceful, fresh life of the village, away from the hectic rat race of living abroad. I want this kind of life. You're such an inspiration and I like how interactive you are in the comment section. More blessings.
Hi Jael.I just stumbled onto your channel and loved it.I am relocating to the country side at the end of this year.a decision that still surprises a lot of my friends and family. I confess that I too have gone through moments of doubt and trepidation, but I feel so encouraged after watching you. thank you
This is what you call the best organic life. You've done the right thing, hun. When all the food is contaminated elsewhere, you get the real organic stuff. Good job.
Most people do not realize especially in the west that the food is contaminated with hybrid DNA. They are seeking to vacate large populations and the cities are the quickest places to do it. Organic, home-grown, non-contaminated food will be a luxury when it’s too late. Everyone that is busting a move like this lady is, is doing themselves and their family a favor. Eventually the system will catch up with everybody so make sure above all, you have surrendered and given your life to Yahshuah and be led by His Holy Spirit. He will never leave you nor forsake you!
First time seeing your video and finding your channel and I wish I was there too. Im planning my escape. I just want a quiet life out of and away from the city. Your lifestyle is goals. People make not think so now but very soon they will. Good on you for making the change that suits you best. I wish you well
Just found your channel and enjoyed the video. You have a beautiful place and I feel so relaxed just watching the simple life that you live. I grew up in the country on a farm so I can relate to the peace and quiet of that life. Continue to enjoy your space and the simple life.
I admire you for making the decision to relocate to the village. I grew in South Africa but have spent most of my life living in Melbourne, Australia and yes we must have our afernoon tea accompanied by snacks. I love the relaxed life and I know its hard work but there is fulfillment in achieving the result. If ever I have a choice to relocate to Africa I will choose Kenya, its a beautiful country with beautiful people. Looking forward to more of your videos. Have a blessed weekend.
Thankyou Nirosh. Kenya is beautiful but I really wish to visit SA. Surely grass is always greener on the other side. I'm doing my best to keep the videos coming and I truly appreciate the support. ❤️
Jael, your homestead is so beautiful and verdant! My husband and I are from the southwest USA. 10 years ago we moved from the city to the high desert countryside. It is a very harsh environment, dry and cold in the winter, very hot and windy in the spring. This year our summer rains are almost none. I did not manage to store any water for the remainder of the year, so we will rely on well water until next summer. But all God's creation has a beauty all its own. I love the big wide open skies, the sunsets and the high mountains. Thank you for sharing your lifestyle with us.
Im watching your channel for the first time, and tears welled up in my eyes and my heart got so filled with mixed emotion of calm, peace and longing. Its so peacefu, it touched my soul.
Since 2018, I have been longing to relocate to the village, mine will probably be in ZImbabwe (which fellow Zimbabweans can not understand, but it's in my soul!) I stayed in small towns in Zimbabwe and honestly, I miss the calm life! Currently, I am in Nairobi and it's been a learning curve which also confirms my desire towards rural life. Asante Sana for sharing this, you have a very beautiful home!
Wow this is life. My husband and I are in our 40’s and mortgage free now. So we’ve decided to build our house back in the village too so we can always go back and rest and then later on move on for good. I love that laid back life back in my country. The fresh home grown food, harvesting from your your plantation, feeding and milking cows, chickens and ducks roaming your backyard and hearing that first wake-up call in the mornings mahn I miss that life. Good on you for moving back to your beloved country side.
Am amazed with your home set up , even though its in the village. One may say its in the rich suburbs of the city. What a dream everyone has has like that! I can only say, u have my admiration for your village home and lifestyle. Indeed its nothing short of a PARADISE. 😊
Jael, I am happy for you. From this video it seems that you have returned to a peaceful way of life. It reminds me of Solomon's words at Ecclesiastes 3:12 &13 which reads in part, "...also that everyone should eat and drink and find enjoyment for all his hard work. It is a gift of God." Continue to enjoy your gift!
I appreciate your video. I'm Black American and I grew up in a big city. As I age, I long to live a Village lifestyle. In my opinion, Africa represents thousands of years of people knowing how to grow their own food, sew clothing, knew of herbs and foods that treat sickness and build shelters to survive. Today that same knowledge is passed down in families. The younger generations of Black Americans almost lost all human survival skills. They are completely dependent on and at the mercy of the system.
Jael, you have such a soothing voice. It's very calming. You're living an idyllic life and I pray that it continues to bring you joy and peace. Wishing you well
Keeping on moving on dear, if only people would know what a gem to live in the village!!. Currently looking forward to this, want to dispose of my properties in town and move to the village, you are doing exactly what is in my dreams, that I know my Savior Jesus Christ will bring them to pass. You have nothing to prove to anyone mama!!
I was raised in a village which was very similar. My country has progressed now to a mostly urban life style which has its disadvantages compared to the simple village life. Love your lush garden and the fertile soil. The pumpkins and bananas are lovely! I still air dry my clothes like you do. With our abundance of sunshine and wind there is really no need to further burden the fragile environment by using a dryer. Really admire your simple and peaceful life in the village. I long for this peaceful and laid back life again! May God continue to bless you with His abundance of grace and peace.
First-time viewer here. What a relaxing way to start my Sunday! I'm from New Orleans and this looks a lot like how I start my Sunday mornings with beignets dusted in powdered sugar with a nice cup of coffee.
You are such an amazing humble lady. The peace you have in your life is beautiful. I will be traveling to Ghana in a couple of weeks. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I can't wait to meet my sisters and brothers. Your life is inspiring letting us realize you can blossom anywhere. I am so encouraged from this video. Sending love from U.S. 🇺🇸
I stumbled across your video this morning. Just what I needed. We live in the USA but are out in the country surrounded by 650 acres of forest. Pretty isolated and I can get pretty lonely at times but so much better than city life. Your voice is so very calming and your story just reminded me why I moved here. Thank you!
@@jaelofthevillage I am isolated and I do a lot of hiking with my dog and horseback riding, reading, painting, etc...but it still can be a challenge. I subscribed to your channel; so, I'm looking forward to your next video.
It is always better to live outside the city. I wanted that life, but my husband wanted the city life, and we had six children. My children and I was so miserable for years. Enjoy the calm and serenity. Take up sewing and knitting and baking and gardening. Just don't be idle. Enjoy nature and all of its glory.
I love this kind of life.its very refreshing especially when yuv retired from a busy office with alot of timelines and reports to write. I live in the village too after my retirement and am happy, refreshed and feel more healthy. Jael we better catch up with one another. Blessings
Village life will soon be the only life worth living. What you have done is gone ahead of us we are heading there if we want to live a peaceful productive long life
love your story. I also relocated fully to the village back in 2020. I love the fact most of the times my food is 100% home grown. Am also working hard on organic farming. I hope in the near future an online village community will b a possibility 🙂
Congratulations Kimani. Village life is beautiful. I know you're loving it. An online Village community where we can share and support each other and learn as well. That would be awesome.
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Your environment is so peaceful. I am from the U.S and grew up in the city my whole life, and I appreciate what the city can offer but I have not been able to tolerate city living for the last 12 years or so. Been taking a peak at countryside living. You are beautiful thanks again. 💜💜💜
Hi there, I just come across your this video today and just want to tell you that am so proud of you. I also love village life so dearly. I grow up in a village by my grandmother who was very hardworking and successful. They do have a market but she always cooked delicious foods. She is late now but I am looking forward to going back to the village for good. Success is not only in the city. You can be successful in the village and have a good and highly respectful life. Well done. Thank for this video.
This is an inspiration. Am all out thinking of the same. Sometime we struggle more in the City more than Shagz. Your video enlightens those with the Stereo type mindset. God bless your move, I think it was the right move. 👍🏿
Where are you in Kenya? I lived near Eldoret from 1986-1988. It's so beautiful there and hearing your accent reminded me of my old friends in Kenya :) Asante sana kwa video nzuri sana!
What a beautiful excerpt into a life that would have went unknown....but for the magic of modem technology. How beautiful you are....and your life is. What a marvel.....I have the fortune to experience superficially
You have a lovely home and seem like a lovely woman. I’m disappointed you titled the video “I am struggling” when it is obvious you’ve chosen a peaceful life that you appear to value far above the noise and speed of the city. Where’s the struggle? Why try to gain views by appealing to negativity?
Hi Jael. Just bumped into your video and i've loved every bit of it. This is my dream life! Simple, quiet and comfortable. Nothing beats home. You just got a new sub. All the best sister and God bless you.
Am a Kenyan living in a big city in North America - your video made me so nostalgic for the beautiful country life I enjoyed when visiting family during school holidays. Your compound is gorgeous
Was just discussing rhe issue of relocating with my husband. We are still building our home and want to accelerate the process next year. Thanks for showing us that this is the life we have been missing.❤
Just happened to come across your video and can I say your home and grounds are beautiful. It is lovely to meet you, and please do not worry about proving anything to your friend. He will learn when the right time presents itself that you chose a more peaceful route in life, at least for now!
You are not struggling far from it, instead, you are an inspiration to us all. I’m living in Georgia state, USA and I love the way you tell your story. I love the pace of your story. I like to see people telling stories that look like me, it gives me the confidence that I too can tell stories like you do. I hope you can do a video showing us how, with out letting out too much of your secrets haha. I wish you all the best hope I too can live in the country side haha anyway got to run. Thanks again for giving up hope!
When I say peace ....This is the true definition of it just came across your video and just felt I belong here❤❤.....I love how this are cool no background music it's so calming and therapeutic ....keep it up Jael am subscribed for more❤❤
First time to connect . Your introduction in this video resonates with me and my life now. I relocated from Nairobi to the village and it was a shock to friends and foe. It's the best decision I could have made. Soldier on you seem to be having a ball.
000000000! What a joy to see that. I thank God for all the people who are falling back in love with village living. Those who laugh at you today, will be seeking you for advice in the coming years. You are in the Spirit my sisters and l admire you. May the Lord forever bless you.
Born and brought up in the city at home and abroad but village life is my DREAM life and I'm almost there... cant wait. I thought I was alone in my LOVE of village life but I see I'm not. Congrats... your life is beautiful!
Thank you Majosh. I have realised most of us want quiet, peaceful lives but circumstances for us into the fast, noisy cities. Wishing you well in your plans. ❤️
I love your property. It reminds me of living in the country as a child. If I had the means, I would live in the country again. ❤ Thank you for sharing your life adventure.
This video was recommended by RU-vid. I am in the fast matrix living aka work, deadlines reduce social life, bills bills, am hoping to relocate one-day to the slow remote life. This video is a sign that i am heading towards the lifestyle i am working to achieve someday soon. Thank you so much
Jael I like that your village life is admirable. You have all modern living tools to make life easier and better. I love your serene environment, please consider some of us stopping by 😅
Your house and yard looks so beautiful and your lifestyle is perfect. This is what life is about, simplicity is best for happiness. What a shame we miss out on this!
Why do people get a perception that when someone relocates to the village life has become hard for them I love village life no deadline as jael always says 😂😂❤❤❤❤
@@plizwekup5231 You beat me to it. I was going to type, 'African mindset'. In my country, young people scoff at farming, imagine!! Do they even wonder where they food they eat comes from SMH! Anyway myself I dream of one day owning a peaceful rural homestead.
@@betavsall973 lol. African mindset indeed. Imagine being ashamed of food! 😊. There really has to be a change in some of our people's mindsets cos it just beats my understanding sometimes. Anyway, glad there are channels like this. Be blessed 🙏
I just LOVE it!! This is my first time watching your video. Just as I was admiring the beautiful paradise that you live in, as you was saying in the video that people was shocked at you being in the village, WOW!! You see how ungrateful we get as human beings?? She is in Heaven, and she knows it!! You go girl!!!🎉🎉🎉 I love what you are doing, when I saw you taking up those pumpkins girl, I was like 🎉🎉🎉 Keep up the great work, and know that your light is shining all over the world!! I see you❤
interesting to where she at where she is struggling when she got more comforts than i do marble walls and tile floors and all th😂 fruit eggs and veggies wow if that's struggling maybe i should live in the country some where in usa
My soul and my mind are currently both in search of a life akin to yours. My wife and our two young girls are ready too. I grew up in rural Jamaica and have now been in the US 33 yrs. (33 is the number of ascension, so perhaps 34 will find me back to my roots). I love your commentary. I admire your lifestyle. This looks like a perfect way of living for a writer like myself. Thank you for sharing
