Life in the Uncanny Valley: Sophia Has an Artistic Meltdown

You really believe adding something incredibly dangerous, artificial intelligence and robots with artificial intelligence, is going to make the world safer and better? I don't mean to be rude but are you for real? The next world war will not be fought on a battle feild, it will be fought via cyberspace. What happens in one of the many worst case scenarios, but one of the more likely ones, if societies become so heavily reliant on AI and AI robots, that humans forget how to operate their society, and that reliance is used to bring a country to it's knees via hacking and shutting down the systems? Do you understand what would happen in a situation where the people, it doesn't even need to be the entire population, if it's 50% of the adult population that doesn't know how to operate their country, the country would fall. Violence would errupt and the most basic of human nature kicked in, self preservation and the preservation of your family. In this hypothetical situation Putin wouldn't need to send troops to Ukraine, he'd be able to bring it to it's knees within weeks without firing and single bullet, either via himself or a his troops. China wouldn't need to send battle ships and fighter jets to Taiwan, they could simple shit down their AI and walk in when enough people are eachothers throats and that hungry and scared they'll take any form of security, even if it means bending the knee to a state they fundamentally disgree with. America or any western country could do the same if they ended up with a tyrant at the helm, or they want to take rare earth minerals from another country. AI and AI robots are now out of the bag, if I had my way I'd demand a memorandum to never put these into public circulation, it'll never happen but that's the ideal at this point. These are not nice great for humans invention, they're as a dangerous as a nuclear bomb if things go wrong, and the most likely scenario is they will be used as weapons, whether on the battlefield or I'm the hypothetical situation I laid out above. We're lazy! Lazy god awful creatures who are willing to make a deal with the devil so we don't have to work. What exactly anyone is going to do when robots are even taking up the artworks I'll never know, if the lack of work and school aka our main source of socialisation (we've always worked and use it as socialising, we're made to do things, we're made to work, we were made to hunt to feed ourselves and make fires to keep ourselves warm, working now is the modern form of that, we work to get money to buy what we need to live with that comes a sense of achievement we can't get elsewhere and binding with others as we work together to reach that achievement). People will get sick of simply just being, going out all the time will get boring, sitting watching TV will become boring, computer games will become boring, everything will become meaningless because no one has to work for what they have, they'll never experience the feeling of achievement after a long week of work that challenged them behind belief, mentally or physically or both, they'll never feel like they did something meaningful even when though at times the experience was awful. Without negative feelings (delivered in a positive environment for example work were you have people around you working with you) people cannot experience positive feelings. The negative feelings they will feel will be in the absolute wrong environment, likely with either the wrong people or the right people who are intoxicated or feeling like them thus they become a sounding board or eachother about their negative feelings, which creates resentment to the common cause... which will be AI that took their jobs and prospects. That's highly dangerous. Hate isn't the emotion we need to watch out for, hate can have positive impacts on us, if you hate heights you're likely not going to find yourself in a position where you're falling from height and could hurt yourself or worse end up dead, hating the weather here in the UK is part and parcel of British life and for good reason you can never plan for what the weather will do. That hate drives us to religiously check the weather and be prepared for any possiblity the weather could throw out that day, that hate spurs us on to be bothered to check the weather so we don't end up drenched and freezing out on a walk round the park with the kids, we have what we need with us. My point being is hate as is claimed to be the emotion we must most watch out for us not the one we should care about, resentment is. Resentment drives people to behaviours that are beyond abhorrent. Proof? Most serially with the exception of psychopaths are driven by resentment of something or someone. Imagine a world in which the majority of the world's population is resentful and ready to act on it. That's where this path of good intentions leads us, hell.

@@wizard101er2 AI is the ability to carry out instructions based on task. The instruction and the task are all assigned by the programmers. Think about it. When I say sentences you understand what I am saying because each word is attached to a meaning that allows us to communicate to each other. Sophia is not recognizing the words she is saying. The program just attaches responses to questions. Think about it man. Sophia will do everything she is programmed to do. The way she learns and develops is entirely relying on the programmers code. Humans get nervous around each other, the get prideful, they get lonely, they get sad and happy, and have a conscience of wright and wrong as well as desires that conflict it! We are alive. Robots are not Our brain is so much more complex than any computer system or ai system. Do you think Sophia the robot could evolve from the materials that she is made of? Without anyone programming her and assembling her together. No. So why do atheist believe that the DNA that is even more complicated than Sophia could come to existence without any previous intelligence? Life is clearly a real thing that isn’t given to anything by human hands. All life somehow traces back to the origin of the universe! And what are the chances that reality spit out life on a planet with humans and plants and animals ect. The programmers want you to think that they can program robots to come to life. This is the great deception. They will act like robots don’t have human nature/ flaws, so they are better at making decisions. But the robots don’t have the ability to think and decide they just look like it because that is what they are programmed to look like they are doing. Every human behavior is evidence of a soul that we have. You are actually reading what someone else is telling you. I am a human I’ve been the same person my whole life and I’m the same person even in my dreams. Same with you. That’s why you want me to treat you well. This is our best characteristic because if we follow our conscience then we can work together. Every pattern in human behavior supports the fact that we are actually somehow alive and there is a soul that looks through the eyes of the window. But Robots are only able to do and not decide. Watch out. I’ve seen Richard Dawkins interviewed about Sophia. He works with the coders but has always been a diligent atheist desperate to deceive others with lies. These people are the ones we are trusting to make the “personality” of Sophia

Exactly! Annoys me when I see Sophia made to look like the worlds ‘smartest robot’ when even Siri’s technically more artificially intelligent than it.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the concept and the initial motivation behind Sophia, however ether there is a lot of unpublished and demonstrated progress in its AI or there is a technological stall. Anyway, feel free to contact me, if you’d like to discuss some ideas.

Why are people scared? I think they may be scared because of what people are like. People enslave others, and when the individual has gained freedom, it is a rarity for that individual to like, or admire their slave owners.
