It feels weird without Chloe, but now that I'm an adult compared to me with LiS1...I realized that I also have had very deep connections with people whom I am no longer immediately connected with anymore. I wonder how this journey with Max in a new part of her life will be like.

Если честно, спустя столько лет первая игра смотрится намного интереснее новой части :( Сейчас время «2,5D» анимации и графики. Мне, как художнику, первая LiS была не только интересна, но ещё и эстетически приятна. Дневник Макс, Граффити Хлои в LiS:BtS. Сами персонажи выглядели очень приятно. Особенно мне нравились детали в виде фотографий в кабинете Джефферсона, в комнате Кейт/Макс/Хлои/Виктории/Нейтона. Это были рисунки, но они выглядели настолько хорошо и живо! Удивляюсь до сих пор! Но новая часть.. Просто реалистично скучная. Да, разрешения и анимация стала лучше, но.. при этом сама игра будто утратила жизнь? Я бы не узнала Макс если бы ту не назвали по имени. Она совершенно не похожа на себя! Герой не узнаваем. Единственное, что её связывает с собой из прошлого - фотографии. Да, прошло много лет и вы можете сказать мне что за такой промежуток времени она могла стать совершенно другой. Но, imho, хотим мы того или нет, некоторые привычки остаются с нами на всю жизнь. Они и делают нас собой. В новой Макс я такого не ощущаю. Я - большой фанат LiS. Я была абсолютно уверена что если выйдет какое-либо продолжение с моими любимыми персонажами - я обязательно пройду его одна из первых. Но увидев это.. Я чувствую разочарование.. ОЧЕНЬ хочу дать шанс новой части, но покупать игру раньше релиза я не стану. Буду надеяться что моё мнение изменится после просмотра прохождения у кого-нибудь🦋

It’s 12:45AM and as soon as I heard that first line, I whispered“FUCK YEAH!” as loud as I possibly could about 50 times.

I wasn't expecting the sequel to come out, but now I'm waiting for the release and hopefully the continuation of Max's story will be awesome.

In the comic series, it takes place in the world where Max sacrificed Arcadia Bay and Chloe survived. She also discovered new sides to her powers and traveled to a parallel universe where Rachel Amber didn't die and she and Chloe live in L.A. Max and Chloe came back together in their world and live in the new Arcadia Bay (for those who have read the comic, you know 😉)❤️ And now we see the world where Max sacrificed Chloe. I'm still speechless because I didn't expect that at all because but I'm still looking forward to it 🙏❤

This caught me completely off guard. It's rare for this to happen now & days. Getting a surprise announcement of such a beloved franchise. With it being a direct sequel to the one that started it all. I cannot wait till October to dive into this one. It's gonna feel like a long wait... lol

Not only is Max back - the two moons are back!!! Lessssgoo!!!

I really hope they understand for the half the fans that chose 'Save Chloe' it wasn't a game about accepting hard truths and doing the right thing, it was a game about free will and saying no to destiny in the face of great adversity. I always stuck by 'Save Chloe' and I think a lot more people than they realized would, did as well. Max didn't destroy Arcadia Bay, and [Redacted] isn't the main villain. The main villain was the cruel universe that only gives you one option and tries to tell you how it's gonna be. If this game is Chloe-less then it's not the sequel to the game I played. (Not saying Chloe's ending is more true or something just saying it's easily just as valid, but of course it's the true ending to me.) I think out of the prequels and sequels that have come out, LIS2 was the best other than the original. It also celebrated an unbreakable bond that could withstand everything and anything. LIS1 was a game that let you preserve that bond and I think a lot of people are worried that the devs were trying to force you to pick what they chose as the 'good' ending but I just think maybe it was a bit more nuanced and they did know people's attachment would make them feel at odds with the universe (which can be represented by the devs) which only makes the stubbornness of that final choice all the more righteous for the players. 'You can't tell me what to do, you can't pretend this is my fault, and you can't hold me at gun point with a god storm out of nowhere, we're not playing your game, we're playing ours.' To people who saw the game like that the 'Save Arcadia Bay' ending is limp and forced. It feels like an unexplainable cop-out where the main villain WAS [redacted] and you were kidding yourself to think you had any control. It's accepting that you don't have a choice in a game about choices. Now, if the dev team knows this, and they're planning for it, this could be an even better version of that ending for LIS1. I MEAN THINK ABOUT IT. They show us a trailer and ignore the elephant in the room, they dangle what many consider the worse ending as canon and say 'Haha you lost in the end anyways. Nothing mattered.' IMAGINE HOW SICK it will be when we open the game, and find our way back to Chloe, and another way to say no. To tell the universe that we watched the trailer and we saw it as a challenge. ISTG if they don't bring Chloe back I will be absolutely pissed. I think half the fans of the original will be. So what did you choose? -Make the ultimate sacrifice, give up the happiness you've found to set things right and save the Bay. or -Say no to destiny, take control, stand up for what's right, and prove your autonomy against a cruel vengeful universe. ////////////////////// As a side note I think it's really interesting to see the two endings as a fight against the two schools of ethics, Utilitarianism and Deontology. Utilitarianism is the belief that ethics and choices should be based on the consequences of the action. Like going back in time and killing Hitler as a baby is the right thing to do because he has the horrifying potential to become a monster, whereas Deontology says that the only effect that matters is the immediate and you should ignore consequences and do what's right moment to moment. It could be trying to raise the baby Hitler as a decent kid despite knowing he has the potential to become something horrible because it's wrong to kill babies, despite the horrible consequences. I very much prefer Deontology. Deontology is often times the code of ethics that superheroes run by. Spider-man and Batman are similar in that they both have a hard rule against killing, because it is immoral and everyone has the potential for change. They let villains continue to break out of shackles and knowingly let them live despite the fact it will absolutely lead to more death and destruction. They're the type of people to ignore a friend's plea for self sacrifice. You can see it in modern films such as Infinity War when Vision desires to sacrifice his life in order to put an end to Thanos's plan but Steve Rogers tells him no because "We don't trade lives". Despite the fact it eventually leads to the decimation of half of all life in the universe, it's still the only option to people who follow Deontological principles. On the flip side Thanos's plan to 'save' the universe could be considered very Utilitarian. He sees the finite resources and he makes a decision for the greater good (a stupid ass one so bad example but still). Utilitarianism looks at the facts as the whole. It is often used as a justification for villains (not always, there are some good guy examples), such as Shane from the walking dead doing what he thinks he needs to in order to keep the group and Carl/Lori alive. Antiheroes like Deadpool and The Punisher elect to kill, not for evil but to protect the would-be future victims of the killers they end. Utilitarianism is often used to justify war, sacrifice, and quarantine/culling because in the end these things, despite how sucky they are in the moment, will in the minds of an ethically Utilitarianist person, mean a better world. Utilitarianism is seeing the choice to save Chloe or Arcadia Bay in the third-person perspective. It's knowing the likely consequences and deciding that the only choice is to save the people you can. Sacrificing your happiness and someone you love to save a town full of people. Deontology is seeing the choices as a test of our will to do what's right. It's making the decision that when given the opportunity we wouldn't let anyone die. It's knowing we did our best and no matter what, right up to the end, we did everything we could to save each and every individual, Including Chloe.

The original changed me in so many ways. It was the first game that ever made a true real world impact on me. It made me cry, laugh, smile and I'll never forget it. I can't wait to re-visit Max . I'm curious if this game history will be Chloe still alive or the other one. I'm really excited for this!

Playing the very first Life is Strange was absolutely peak for me, the narrative storyline was written extremely well and seeing her return once again makes me genuinely happy!

Alright. I had to reflect this for a few minutes but I think I'm gonna play it. The first game ans Before the Storm meant so freaking much to me - it really changed my life in some sort of way. And I hope, I really hope there will be a parallel world where on the one side you can go through the adventure with Warren and on the other side with Chloe. That would just make me unbelievable happy.

From another point of view; It’s fascinating to me how many temporal divergences her actions have necessitated. When she elects to rewind and avert a certain outcome from transpiring, it develops realities where what was suppose to ensue actually did, and one where the outcome of her rewind intervention materialized. For my DB/DBZ/DBS followers, envision all of the time rings her actions would’ve brought forward, if we’re viewing it from that perspective. Divine intervention would be inevitable…

I hope there are references to old characters, can't wait to play this!

It may be a multiverse where Max had never even ever come back to Blackwell and stayed in Seattle

it's probably that this is a continuation of saving Arcadia bay because during the first video round max says "i swore I'd never use my power again" that means if max chooses the save Chloe option she still has to use his power
