Fun fact: In some cultures, an owl its associated as a bad omen or even associated as death. Maybe the owl that max took a picture of actually means something
In the collectors edition there is an owl pin included that Max wears in the game. There is definitely some symbolism behind that, like with Rachel and the doe!
Visually, it looks like a dramatically step up, for sure. I just wish the writing was that much better too. The conversation between the three of them felt so stiff and weird to me.
So we're all in agreements that the killer must have power as well right? Would go with the whole double exposure, double universe, double every character.. two character with power? Also, that's the only thing that makes sense, she literally looks like she died out of nowhere. The bigger question is who, I bet on an alternate Max personally.
I was thinking the same thing! Max seems like the only one who could do something like this using her powers. Or maybe there's a new person with new powers as well. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
I think we might see other people shifting for one reason or another. In the trailer there’s a scene where another character is getting close to his alternate version. It also is probably related to the call she got that night.
I think it might be Max herself who is the killer, too. They hinted that Safi is the key to solving the mystery, so it might be that Max is destined to kill her after finding out some bitter truth or something.
@@Jonipoon Or maybe an alternate Max that's gone too far off the rails with her power due to trauma and losing people, and she would be the one responsible for the reality tear to begin with due to abusing her power too much (which we saw in earlier games does affect the world in major ways). And anyways, it wouldn't make sense for Max to not have an alternate double when everyone else does.
Imagine hes like only one person two dimensions (kinda like max)! like, imagine having a chase scene where he keeps traveling through dimensions and you follow them. would love smthn like that.
People react to someone dying in front of them in different ways. Some freak out externally, others more internally. I think inside Max is just screaming “Not again!” over and over. That and the most likely reason is that because she has learned to lock away her powers for quite a long time, this might mean she composed herself to try and keep her emotions in check to prevent her power from coming back…
if chloe is relegated to having surprise appearance like david in lis2, then i dont think i'll be interested in this game. that clearly shows the developers have no understanding of the significance of her and the choice that we had to make in lis1. they will not in fact be respecting the both choices. what might be interesting with that however is if you choose bay and she makes an appearance in the other world! that could be really cool. but if you picked bae and all we get is a cameo. than that'll just be a pass for quite a few people i believe.
@@sakisaotome6753 It's possible that in Safi-is-dead world, Max choose Bay. And in other-world, Max choose Bae. I'd love to see that story. To see Max deal with the outcome of both choices. But, in any reality, Chloe must be in the game in Max choose Bae.
@@blakestaredwards I want to trust them, but they are being deliberately evasive regarding that topic. A topic of much concern to meant in the community. From a certain point of view the fact that Arcadia Bay is destroyed and a Chloe who is alive but also has become a stranger in Max's life in the 10 years since is "respecting our choices". The fact that max's new bestie didn't know who Chloe is 6 months into their friendship is extremely worrisome.
The ending in LiS1 was still divisive. All the story build up of helping ppl and they die in the end, or have everything you did reversed but sacrifice your friend’s life?
12:31 When the music started playing, it bring so much nostalgic from the first Life Is Strange. Wondering around and exploring your surroundings with the music playing in the background. 🥹

@@watermelanch0ly YESS THATD BE AWESOME AND HONESTLY MAKE SM SENSE. they have david in LIS2, steph in true colors, itd make sm sense to have them all meet cuz why else would they intertwine them so much????
I still feel like one of the biggest mysteries from LIS1 was Nathan's rich dad. The letters he left behind had some weird stuff that implied something more happening. Always felt their was more to the Prescott story. I do hope they focus on more than the murder mystery. It was about growth, change, things we could all relate too. Friends, anxieties and so much more. Max has went through a lot since she left and I hope we get to explore this with her.
The background music is already relaxing me . After life is strange 2 , i havent played true colours enough, coz im stuck in stephs place listening to songs in the studio 😂.
Max Caufield never ending pattern: Step 1: Have a friend who's lesbi. Step 2: Took a picture of a living creature Step 3: The Lesbi Friend died. Step 4: Mess up the timeline
There’s no confirmation yet if Safi is romanceable, or even if she is indeed lesbian or bisexual. I personally hope so because she seems like a really cool character!
Or she could just be straight. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with her being straight? Why do y'all want everything to be gay @@ajerqureshi6411
Crazy this franchise is hitting 10 years old. I’m pretty proud of the developers for really making a “finalized” aesthetic through the different Life is Strange stories - and this feels really realized.
I hope we can see a little of Chloe in the game, even by mentions, pictures, videos or maybe a phone call? I really hope so, at least i hope we can choose if Arcadia was sacrificed or not, thank god there's no canon ending in Lis1
I KNOW she will be in Flashbacks! If she’s NOT in the present future! Basically they confirmed she isn’t going to be in the present but IS talked about I’ll be so good with a flashback I love their story! I love Max’s story GO look at the video where they explain everything in an INTERVIEW! Or atleast I’m HOPING they’ll do flashbacks as when in LIS2 David calls Chloe & she’s with max 😭 or I hope they have more pictures together THEY ARE ONLY SHOWING US 2% OF THE GAME DO NOT FORGET THAT WE DONT KNOW full gameplay! I AM SO excited
@@Chronablisslook its not enough we sacrificed so many people because of them the creators cant do that they have to respect the ending we choose not all game just happy ending with chloe like just starring each other at the end if the other people choose chloe to sacrifice then warren and just starring each other like knowing that there will be some good things and if they are broke up theyre gonna come back yk what i mean?
In case anybody was looking for the track at 17:05 (which is also the track used in the reveal trailer), it's called "Illusion" by Tessa Rose Jackson and FFM. The track gave me so much FFM vibes. It reminded me of "Stay Alive" from Dead Island 2, which was also produced by FFM.
I like how all the Life is Strange characters appear in other games. It really feels like a whole universe. Except for the protagonists from the second game. The guys don't appear ever again for some reason
This brought back so many good memories. Life is Strange 2015 was my first platinum achievement, and now I have 98 😅. The first time I played it, I was in college, and now I'm in my early 30s. I can't wait to play as an adult, grown, and confident Max, and I can't wait to get into another dilemma that might lead to sacrificing something or someone 👀
I really hope chloe is still hanging out in new york during this, please at least give us a phone call cameo between them if you're leaving chloe out for the sake of continuity between both lis endings
This game looks SO FRREAKIN' GOOD. I keep thinking back to how the first game looked and all the nostalgia and I am so happy. I've played every game as soon as each episode was released so this newest addition means so much to me. I could CRY.
Hello life is strange channel, I please and beg that you include the option for larger font size for the subtitles because I have trouble hearing and reading small fonts. Please please pleas!
12:29 does anyone recall a scene like this from true colors? I don’t remember true colors feeling nearly as atmospheric as the first two games. This scene IMO was vital to reassuring that LIFE IS STRANGE vibe.
If i’m remembering correctly, there’s some scenes that feel sorta like this but only when Alex sits and reflects, like in Chapter 1 at the record store when you can sit and listen to Scott Street on the record player. Other than that nope. Gonna replay it soon and see for myself.
Max looks different but we have to keep in mind that he is already 28 years old, and the truth is that the change in the graphics engine is also very noticeable, a great advance. And regarding the story mm I have a good feeling, both in the opening sequence, the ambient music, the moment when you start to notice strange things, it reminds me a little of the first life. I don't know what will come of this but as a fan, it feels so good to see Max again. Another interesting point is the moment when Max reveals why he left everything behind. I don't know, I liked it, safe purchase.
@@brightamiii subjects for change always be mentioned before gameplay video starts, we can only ask them to change it and wait QoL update, somewhere between 1.1 patch and never
I really like Max's reaction to Safi's death, like the built up the sad and "Not again" kind of look she had. The way she knows something’s wrong but not fully knowing what it is.
Can u release the full version of that song Max played on her earphones during "Head Home" objective ,please? Now I really wanna listen to it ASAP. Pretty Pleaase...
Anyone else catch that comment about 'knowing who's leaving that squirrel gore around campus' just as the owl flew in?! (13:50) A budding serial killer on campus perhaps? Someone else mentioned that the owl was eluded to being Jeffersons spirit animal, maybe seeing it is what triggered the flashbacks, in conjunction with the "weird weather" (comets passing). Maybe Max was subconsciously picking up on signs before this and linked it with her experience with Jefferson before 🧐🤔 she did have the vision of the tornado before ever using her powers in the first game, so maybe sometbing similar is happening here? Not a vision like before, but something like dejavu maybe?
I think that the person Max sees shortly before discovering Safi dead is Max herself, same build (you can see it when they hug), with their backs turned and wearing a hat... it almost seems like a directorial choice
After seeing Max again, I think I fell in love with a fictional character for the second time, this is because of your person, Max, kindness, charisma and other good qualities that made me fall in love with Max's figure
Random thoughts (first impression of double exposure) Safi kinda died fastly if you think about it. 1. We heard the gun shot 15:56 2. We saw safi walking towards the bench 16:05 3. We discovered a couple seconds later (when we run towards her 16:23) that she is dead. But how come? There is only safi foot prints and no murder weapon to be found. I feel like, point number 2, instead we saw safi, we actually saw the murderer dressed similarly....who knows? Maybe there are two murderer this time around... or maybe there is another person who is also have a super power. We'll see and i will definitely watching the full walkthrough gameplay of it.
Anybody has tried to pause, zoom in on Safi's phone when she gets a call so that you could solve the crime before the game comes out? You're not the only one then. :P
I have a theory. I think Max is the first person to ever get powers in this universe and then she unknowingly gave powers to Alex and Daniel. I think when she got her powers in Arcadia bay, she somehow gave Alex powers. Alex was also in Oregon at that time. She also went back to Seattle in the timeline she saved Chloe and gave Daniel his powers. Either that, or Seattle and Oregon are just places where you get powers🤷♂️. I feel like the first theory makes more sense.
Max dreaming about taking photos nobody would even see is so powerful. It's reminiscent of how nobody is aware of how many timelines shes gone through to help others, especially if you sacrifice chloe
Songs at the end - Illusion (from Life is strange: Double Exposure) UPD:Don't you think that the ending will be such that Max from a parallel universe will kill Sophie herself?
@@bernardonunes2085that would be a good theory…like Max jumped to an alternate timeline seen safi die then went back and tried to prevent it in hers. That would make sense story wise
Yeaa they got some explaining to do. Unless she lost her previous powers. Why she ain't just rewind and hold it till she got there like she's done before?
I’m really curious if this new sequel will have another amazing soundtrack. The music from the original series always brings back such nostalgic, pleasing, and slightly melancholic feelings for me. That’s what made it so memorable.
