How come no one ever talks about the horrible facial animations? You’d think that a game that is 90% cinematics would have a team that if they weren’t going to put any effort into making sense and being cohesive in their writing and fleshing out their characters, then they’d at least animate the characters look and act lively to keep the audience around but no, just let characters hold the same facial expression until the scene changes and make sure their lips barely move when they talk.

Well, there is only one true ending to Shadow the Hedgehog, i.e. Shadow defeating Black Doom and using Chaos Control to destroy the Black Comet. The only thing the alternative endings do is unlock the true ending, and those alternative endings really just boil down to Shadow saying “such and such ideology” is “who he is”, but that doesn’t really mean anything because Shadow’s true colors are revealed in the true ending, i.e. that he is not evil and that he saves the world and his friends.
I started it and loved Chloe. Then I realized she's the same type of person who'd ruin your life and hate you for stating its their fault. Even if it's true.
well her trope as a character is someone who comes off terrible, but tries to do good. i can see how a lot of people don’t really like her character but when you think of it that chloe has probably developed a ton of mental illnesses from trauma, you start to understand more. to me chloe really seems like a decent example of BPD, try to look at it through that lense
it's hinted that chloe shows symptoms of borderline personality disorder. now, if you go off and say that people with bpd/npd are abusers, you're an ableist a hole and trying to generalize people bc of just one toxic person in your life. plus chloe hasn't necessarily recovered from her trauma (her dad dying and max moving states within the span of 3 days) and it doesn't help that joyce never decided to genuinely sit down with chloe and talk w/o david overstepping boundaries with his slightly controlling behavior. (look at the parking lot scene from lis before the storm episode 2, he deadass cuts joyce off trying to talk to chloe about her expulsion and why chloe actively pushing joyce away). chloe is a tragic character who has trauma and doesn't act the stereotypical victims of trauma do (i.e., childish or meek and anxious) and people hate her bc of that. i'm not a chloe apologist but as someone who was a victim of childhood abuse and acts similar to chloe in terms of attitude, i appreciate chloe for showing a different pov of victims of trauma.
I think the main problem with Chloe is that she’s not written well for her role. Chloe’s supposed to be that confident yet laid back friend who’s also entertaining and relatable. Yet, she doesn’t act like it. She treats everyone horribly and instead of confronting her problems or showing compassion for others she just wallows in self pity and blames everyone else. With that personality, she should have been a person that you thought was your friend, but when you realize how they treat you, you confront them and whatever. She’s not written terribly in general, but she is not what she was written for.

The saddest part is the alternate "Chloe's dad lives" timeline seems like an actually better story. Playing a story where your friend gets into an accident and ends up paralyzed could bring up alot of interesting, heart touching moments, and would actually make sense of the "Life is Strange" title. But no, we got the bad timeline.

Cloe is VERY obviously written badly and by extension the entire game because of the presentation of the character, every character flaw about her penetrates into a writing flaw. because the game tells you to like them and the game will have you like them no matter what. the author of a work needs to understand what its about, when you are following the villain in a story. the writing should tell you its a villain. some people like to "grey area" everything and want to go deep about things that dont mean to, which makes the writing seem flimsy,, or just. bad? when someone treats your protagonist bad, you want the story to reflect that "Hey main character you stink! booo!!!" I think you missed the point of the two endings. LiS is a cheesey angsty teen coming of age story that turns into something inspired by the works of David Lynch, and then the endings let you choose which genre you want an ending for. The problem is that angsty coming of age stories have rather cliche endings Which makes letting Chloe die the better ending.

On god she was a horrific character. The ending choice was so obvious because this game clearly really wants you to like her but they ended up achieving the exact opposite. Why would I sacrifice potentially thousands of lives for an unlikeable cringy prick?
I'm glad it's helped so many people, don't get me wrong. The problem for me though is that the game actually caused more problems for me than anything else. I played Life is Strange at a really low point in my life because a ton of people who had gone through what I had said it helped them and all... but it made me feel so much worse. Instead of feeling "seen", it felt more like they were almost making a spectacle of depression, which I know that they weren't _trying_ to. But where I was mentally and emotionally, it made me feel even worse. And since then, I haven't paid attention to anything else this series has to offer because I'm worried that it'll put me back in that place. I'd rather stick with my silly little anime games instead playing anything that involves a heavy storyline of mental illness or just mental health in general, because it feels like nobody can get it right.
Have you every played any of the Persona games? They tackle mental illness and depression much better. P5 for example teaches the player that they can overcome their hardships, by facing your problems and standing up to those who wronged you. It also teaches the player the importance of friendship, and being there for each other.
Something else very fucked up about Kate is...Kate should be mad at the picture in episode 1, then episode 2 go "You know...I am sorry. I know you were trying to help" or have her take a step back when Max talked, and realized she was helping. Like when you are in a bad situation, you do see stuff in short term or just don't see people are trying to help. I do feel Kate is the best character in the game in concept, and maybe even the best in the game, but heavily misused. I think the biggest fact about Kate being misused is after she tried to kill herself, Max is like "Okay she is alive" and FUCKING BARELY EVER SPENDS TIME WITH HER. Like Max legit leaves Kate outside the one hospital visit. Like...Max rather make kissy faces to Chloe over...you know...help her friend who tried to kill herself? That was my biggest issue was they throw out a character about to kill themselves, then just forget about them pretty much. She is alive, so who cares? It is all about Chloe now!
This is far from the first time I've heard someone complain about how terrible the characters are. But it's always a joy to heard someone call out the awful character writing that I welcome it every time.
You know what Life is Strange is actually a masterpiece. It unintentionally shows what fatherless behavior becomes. Chloe becomes a terrible person who blames everyone but themselves and lacks self control because her father died. Too bad the developers are actual brainlets and the "good" timeline is just people being terrible.

Telltale's The Walking Dead: has several moments with a very very short timer on hard decisions to force you to act on instinct without thinking. Life is Strange: "Uh oh are you suuuuure? Okaaay."
This game is the very definition of mid. Not good nor bad it's just kinda there. It exists. I only really like the art direction and music. But if you want an interesting game about fears of young people with great art direction and music just play Silent Hill 3.

They couldn't even write a convincing suicidal character in a game whose major theme is mental illness. DDLC did this 10x better with Sayori (even though the rest of the game is basically glitch horror). It didn't just throw you a character with a big label saying "depressed" and expect you to care.
If kate's not convincing, I'm batman, she's literally one of the best characters and this is the best game I have ever played, tlou is very near, but this game is just a masterpiece
it would have been pretty easy to mostly fix kate's suicide, honestly. just needs 2 changes. 1. you get your time powers back when you reach the roof. still can't rewind to keep her from reaching the roof, but you can rewind to the start of the conversation as much as you want. 2. you can't save her. one of the phrases that repeats in the minds of those who lost friends/family to suicide is "if only i did/said X". that relatable and painful feeling of regret that people burden themselves with in the face of loss. in a story with time travel, setting up a situation where "building up enough friendship points means your friend won't end their life in front of you" tells those people that "yes, those feelings are completely justified. if you could control time, and always make the right choices, you too could have saved their life." whereas a better option is to give the player that painful daydream scenario of being able to rewind the conversation over, and over, and over again until they get it right... and have the balls to tell the player "no. there is no magical out to this situation. no response. no question. no perfectly aligned set of words. there is no way she could have stopped Kate... there's no way you could have stopped them." and for the player to move on, they'd have to come to terms with it, and let it go. if you want to cover such a hard topic such as suicide, you either have the guts to go big, or you stay the fuck away from it. of course, it's still not perfect. it's still an incredibly left field scene, and would be better suited as the primary story (dropping Chloe and the kidnappings entirely). also, the writing would need to be more nuanced for it to land properly, which is pretty hard when your writers have their heads permanently stuck 5' up their own asses. the subtlety of Max's name being a gigantic exhibit.A for that.
Kinda mirrors Chloe in a way. Someone unable to let go of the past, consisting blaming things out of anyones control on innocent people just so she feels better about her own past and her mistakes
My buddy had a copy of this on PS4. We share-played the entire thing and laughed our asses off at how bad it all was. To this day, I can only see the game the same way I see a shitty bootleg or a bad dub of a show: it’s so horrible that it’s funny
Me and a friend did a similar thing but with the second one (vastly worse) and we did it entirely in the Japanese dub we didn’t even sleep the first night. It was the pinnacle of my year as a 15 year old.
One of my pet peeves are twist villains that are basically two different characters and who never once slip up pre-twist, just to fool the audience. (Like Hans from Frozen who even emotes in a "good guy" way when he's alone and acts heroically without any ulterior motives, and then for no reason at all he tells Anna everything. What bullshit) I hate that era of character archetypes being popular, and LiS falls into this era. The only comfort I have is that everyone hates the trope as much as I do. And to be clear, I don't hate all twist villains inheritly, but the character pre-twist and post-twist should be the same character. It all has to make sense, alright.

To be fair, the only times we really se Hans alone is the scene where he falls into the harbor. Aside from that, he's usually trying to convince the citizens (or the men who went with him) that he's a good guy. But honestly, if you remove him from the story, it doesn't change much. They proved later in Encanto that you don't really need a villain to make a good adventure story.
Jefferson being the villain is not a bad twist. There were hints on the dialogue since the very begining and the story makes sense. But he is a bad villain. Like dumbsville said, instead of making the old jefferson a more menacing character, they straight up created a new guy and put mr jefferson's name on him. Even his voice changes
So, Chloe's dad dies in a car crash and it's somehow his fault? My dad got divorced and left but I'm not blaming him. Chloe has to be one of the most self-centered characters I've ever seen.

I can’t believe how so many people think that Max and Chloe has a great relationship. Chloe is hella selfish and has shown that multiple times that she is willing to rat our max for her own benefit. The fact that there are so many people who sacrificed everyone else for Chloe makes no sense to me. When there are other characters in the story that cared/treated Max way better. What’s even worse is that a lot of people try to justify Chloe’s behavior because of her father dying, though just because you have been through shit doesn’t mean you have to treat others like shit as well.
The game forces you to ship Pricefield (Chloe x Max). Ironically, Chloe uses Max's power for her amusement until Max got a nosebleed. There are still many characters who cares about Max and there should be more of them who are a perfect match for Max. And Chloe is deeply in love with Rachel so it doesn't make any sense to match her with Max.
As someone whose father passed away, I admit I was more emotional and angry to everyone around me *And then I grew up because I was a child when he died.* If you want to write a character like Chloe, do it properly.

I think the scene that most represents how awful and badly written this game is, is when max can step in for Kate or take a picture. Max, you have super powers, you can rewind time, DO BOTH! it cannot be that hard to write smart characters, it cannot like come on.
Oh yeah that… well about that, when you rewind time to help Kate from being harassed by David, at the exact moment when you took the photo, the photo will not be on the inventory… yeah, I’m serious. Is like the photo got “Thanos snapped” because the game didn’t want you to Have your cake and eat it. (Even though you could actually do two different actions while traveling to time for the most time in the entire game)

David Madsen no matter what option you pick in Life is Strange ends up as a crazy hobo in the desert in a later game in this series. If you save the community and let Chloe die, he talks about how Chloe's mom blamed him for her death and kicked him out the house. So he has a breakdown and ends up in the middle of nowhere. But if you save Chloe and let everyone else die he is implied to have had a breakdown knowing he was the only survivor, that was intesified from him being a war veteran, and he's unfit to be in society and stuck in a desert. But the writers assure you he's great and he's totally happy like this, because Chloe calls him once in a month to tell him how much better her life is with Max now everyone else is dead. I wish i was making this up.
Kinda fucked up that Max and Chloe drive off and not stay to find survivors but no they leave Arcadia Bay. How did David survive that tornado? Was he in the bunker when the tornado hit?

Spoilers (I still didn't watch the video, but I wanted to comment something before watching, also I'm from Spain, English is not my native language so I apologize to the three people that are going to read this comment) I played LiS when I was in the second year of High School, and it really hit me in that moment. I was more a casual player in that time and it was the first game that made me see videogames not as a simple form of entertainment, but as a form of art. And I feel very atached to the characters. But I recently played the hole saga again and I'm going to talk only about the first game now. I will comment on the other in their respective video of the channel. (Im new, hi) First Im going to say what I like: The ambient, Arcadia Bay is a beautifull place, the music is good and I really enjoyed walking across the Blackwell campus with relaxing background music and all the people doing different activities. There's some characters that I considered in my unprofesional insignificant opinion, well written. Kate Marshall would've a better best friend than Chloe and I couldn't save her the first time I played, it really hurt me. Dave is a guy who I never thought I was going to like, but playing it again makes me feel empathy for him, he can be an *sshole for sure, but he has live a tough life, and he has to tolerare Chloe's constant attemps to make his life miserable. At the end, he redemed himself and help Max when she needed the most. And I also want to give a point to Chloe, at the end, she open her eyes and saw all the wrong that she had caused, and was willing to give her life to safe the people she loved in the bottom of her heart. I really like William, I wish we could have seen him more. He's a great guy, it's a shame that either he died, or he had to live knowing that his daughter was going to die sooner than later. I loved the part where you went to the alternative reality of William still being alive, I would have love to see more of that timeline. And I also like how Rachel was treated in this game. They sell her like she was an Angel and the deeper you went into the mystery of her disappearance, the creepier it goes. And it really helps to sell the idea of a prequel with her. The moment when you find her body was very shocking and almost disgusting. Now, I'm going to talk about the bad: Chloe is a b*tch, she's a terrible friend and unnecesary rude with everyone. She thinks everybody is againts her and blames anybody else for her mistakes. I would've been good with that if it wasn't because of the game trying to make Chloe appealing to the player, there's moments when she can be a good friend, but then she comes back to being an idiot. When I was a teen, I thought Chloe was the coolest character ever, but now I see that she's someone you don't want near to you. Max is an idiot, not because she's a bad person, but because she has the powers of a literal God and she always find a way to screw things up. There are lots of inconsistencies, like the first time Max used her powers, she teleported back to the class, but in the rest of the game, when you move and rewind, you stay in the same place. Another one is when Dave and Kate are arguing and you have to intervene or take a picture. I decided to take a picture, rewind, and then intervene. But when the moment of showing the picture to Wells came, I didn't had it, in the rest of the game, when you take an object it rewinds with you. Other stupid thing is why Chloe is mad that you stop one minute to anwser Kate's call? It doesn't have any sense, why would anyone be mad at it? I like the Sacrifice Chloe ending, but the other one is very poor. It is only a scene of Max and Chloe in the car crossing the ruins of the town, and zero dialogue. And Jefferson didn't convinced me as the villain. I like the plot twist and the flash forwards refering to him being a murdered, but after that, he has a competition with Dave to see who's the more stupid of the two and, with Max's help, Dave knock him down, and that's it? I liked the stuff with Nathan being manipulated by him and the voice message he send to us just before he died, but Jefferson nearly didn't have anytime to develop as a villain. Those were the more important things that I wanted to talk about, I have to say that it was very fun to play this game again, and it still looks beautifull to me. And yes, the main character is stupid, her best friend is toxic as hell, there are lots of plot holes and inconsistencies and the game is a mess in general, but I still loved it. And I will re-play it again in the future for sure.

I want to see you do Batman: The Telltale Series and/or The Enemy Within and explore how those games did this style miles better and how the character writing took unrealistic characters like Joker, Batman and Two-Face, and made them feel so grounded in reality, which is the exact opposite of what happened here: realistic-seeming characters whose writing is so bad that they can’t feel real.
This game is confusing to me, I’ve never played it but I remember everyone criticizing the characters. Most of the hate I saw was solely on calling the characters, “Unlikeable Assholes.” Then when True Colors (or the remake? I don’t remember, again I don’t pay attention to this series) Suddenly all I would see is how the game was Kojima levels of amazing, and the characters were suddenly 5 dimensional.
That's because the fans of the games were still supportive of the series after the bandwagon died down so just appreciation from the fans shined through.
Well True Colors is developed by an entirely different with different writers. Hell I think the only reason they used LiS in it's title was brand recognition.
Here to leave my opinion: when I was younger, like 14-15, I liked this game alot, to be completely honest, at the time, it was one of the most original works I ever saw, im very big on action and racing games, so to see a story driven plot with a girl who predicts a tornado and whatnot, i was rather hooked. I still partially like it because I found relatability in some of the characters, people like kate and chloe kinda made me feel connected to them, as I had a lot of dark times emotionally while i was getting into this game, and I guess overall this game for me had some kind of charm that i wouldn't be able to explain. im 18 now and the errors of the game are way clearer to me and this video helped me see the flaws, while I do agree that some aspects of the game were pure cringe, playing life is strange is still a childhood memory, but I am also thankful for this video, I hope I was able to elaborate enough
chloe was never supposed to be related to it, i’m pretty sure she only chipped in to help find out why the tornado was happening was because max thought rachel had something to do with it
It's actually hinted at that Max got her powers from Rachel so that Rachel can get revenge on Jefferson. In before the storm it's heavily implied that Rachel has wind powers so it's not beyond belief that she could give Max powers from beyond the grave
I’m pretty sure it’s only implied once when she burns down that one tree which fooled the players into thinking she had powers, but then it never comes up any other time so it’s safe to say she didn’t, and if she did, the developers did a terrible job showing it.
Wait did anyone remeber that max can only enter past photos she's in? Also the "Good Ending" has chloe so depressed about being paralyzed that she begs max to kill her
The strangest thing about this game is that you only come to dislike the game after you've grown up out of your teenage years. I haven't heard of it for 6 years aside from the prequel and sequels and as I revisited it I felt different. I didn't enjoy it as much as I used to, the flaws that I used to be oblivious to was easier to notice. Chloe is the best example of that, so many times she's been annoying and the game never allows you to have max despise her to the end. She's fictional and yet I feel emotionally gaslighted by the character. At this point I sympathize with David by putting up with her BS and Before the Storm at least has the decency to acknowledge how horrible she was to him even if she got zero consequence for it. All in all I think the games were made for teenagers in their "phase", these people that found help with it were troubled in their own lives and could relate with all the over the top drama. But as an adult you can't relate just as well as a teenager. As much as people got help with the characters (all the power to them!), the fact that the flawed ones are the most liked among them is kind of sad... It feels like they got manipulated by every "good" characters when they probably seeked help about trust issues, abuse and manipulations themselves.
The fact that people still simp for Chloe is proof they never grew out of their edgy teenager phase. Not like I'm a paragon of mental health or anything, but I played it for the first time right near or after the end of college and had a good time with it. It's a TV-MA Disney Channel Movie and I love it for that.
I still simp Chloe. Lol. Yes, I know she’s not perfect and believe me I got pissed at her for throwing Max under the bus with the weed. However, just something about her draws me in. Maybe since I played Before the Storm first that affected how I see her Vs others that played LiS 1 first. I never did drugs and I graduated high school and college with honors but I just feel a connection to her. Growing up I had trouble connecting with people and had people I thought were a friend or something more ghost me/stab me in the back. Maybe that’s it. Plus, LiS did help me realize my sexuality and gender identity as well. This game does have a shit tone of flaws and it is anything but perfect but I just connect with it somehow. Personality wise I am more like Max but I often fantasied, but never actually acted out, about doing some of the stuff Chloe does like making an assholes car role out from under them. Lol. While I actually have a lot of respect for David he did mistreat her too. I say their feud was 50/50. I save Chloe out of loyalty to him and sweet Joyce as well. I think Joyce would sooner die than lose Chloe.
I swear to God I'm not trying to come off as contrarian, but I seriously never had anything but a slight sense of loathing towards this game despite being in the age range they were attempting to appeal to when it came out.
I really wish this game had Max either stay friends with Chloe or be against her. This game is so biased toward her despite how she constantly whines when Max won't let her do horrible things like stealing from disabled people or when Max refuses to take the blame for Chloe's actions. She's also a massive hypocrite. She legit broke into a school and went through the principal's PC yet whines when her privacy is invaded. I don't care if it helped her and Max's investigation. She still went snooping around other people's things. If it wasn't okay for David, it isn't okay for Max or Chloe.
the game is stupid because what it’s TRYING to do is build a relationship between Max and Chloe to build up to this weird trolley problem where you can either save the love of your life or the entire city, but then makes Chloe completely intolerable so it’s not a difficult choice at all lmao. and the worst part is, the tone of the game clearly communicates that you’re supposed to be on her side. as in, the writers expected you to experience all of this and still develop this ridiculous endearment for her
@@applespotty2232 Well it worked since most of the fanbase sides with her with almost every decision except for maybe the choices that deal with Kate. I feel sorry for Chloe, but the game forces you to put up with her nonsense and then shames you when you pick a choice to disagree or, better yet, grow a spine to call her out. She keeps throwing up "wrong" choices back in your face and Max rarely stands up for herself against Chloe. I get that Chloe comes from a sad background, but that gives her no excuse to be such a massive bitch especially towards Max. The guilt tripping is annoying too. Funny enough, most people are willing to admit her alternate self is way nicer.
@@applespotty2232 I agree. Chloe is such a massive piece of work, and the game shames you almost every time you don't choose the choices she likes. That's one reason why I don't understand why people say it has better choices than the first season of the walking dead game. At least in the walking dead, the game doesn't force Kenny, the guy you're constantly forced to interact with, to be your pal, nor does it expect you to kiss his behind. Kenny, as ONE person, will give you hell, but nobody else paints you as a bad guy for siding against him. Meanwhile, Chloe, Joyce, and Max will guilt trip you constantly. To make things even worse, Max will rarely ever stand up for herself against Chloe but does it way more with other characters. That's why I don't get why people say Chloe made Max brave. First of all, Max was already pretty brave without Chloe around. With Chloe around, Max is brave enough to break into builtdings, but not brave enough to call out Chloe more when she's being mean. Their friendship seems to be running on nostalgia and constantly guilt tripping. I feel bad for Chloe but not enough to use her history as excuse for her nasty behavior.

Its kinda sad that the only reason i stuck around with this game was saving Kate. I know how awful it is to have suicidal thoughts or feelings, to know people who committed suicide and not being able to save them. Idk maybe at the time i played this it was directly after a friend of mine died the same way and I felt like some part of me clung to saving Kate to cope? Shit man i WAS gaslit wasn't i? mid game 3/10.
Imagine if Jimmy Hopkins had a montage about his and Gary Smith's nicest friendship moments at the final showdown in Bully (like when they harrassed the hobo or laughed at inbred preps), and then you had a choice between "Push Gary off the roof" and "Hug it out".
it would have been cool if you got to pick your friends, like you could do a whole playthough of a game without being friends with the blue hair girl, and then hear oh, that brown haired girl killed herself, and then on a completely separate playthrough you befriend her and realise you were able to stop it. and loads of other storylines with separate endings based off people you get to know.
@@patrinizer346 Yeah, like with what Night In The Woods did. It give you the choice to spend time with Bea and Gregg(two characters your protagonist, Mae, has met before and befriended in her past) though it doesn't really let you pick who you should be friends with like how the dude described, the side characters you CAN meet along the way and befriend don't contribute to the ending or anything in that sense.
I don't think it helped that those who really enjoyed this game hyped it up to unreachable standards. Its fine to enjoy this sort of game but its clear the style, art and storytelling won't be for everyone.

i think the cheesy writing made it more lovable to be honest, keeping in mind the game was made in 2015 and was set in 2013 i think. i just dont like how the game tried to make you feel bad for chloe or like her. bad characters are fine but when the game tries to make you like them then its a problem.
Doubly so in this case because at least with games like the Walking Dead, maybe your actions determine who's in the ending cutscene or what interactions the characters have moving on. In Life Is Strange, because the entire conflict is resolved by either everyone in town getting murked by the storm (thus meaning that nothing really matters) or that the time travel powers erase everything that happened, also meaning that every choice you made was completely pointless, but even more so than your average text adventure game.
Finished the video, this cannot be real. The dialogue and voice acting is so contrived of anything resembling human. Resident Evil sounds more human than this. The story really does seem nonsensical, and like a comparison Dumbsville made, like a bad telltale game

Trauma does not immediately mean well written nor does it mean the traumatized character have free reign to do what they want. Like most “multiple” ending games where choices “matter”

I love LIS for it goofiness and how dumb it is. I like the artstyle and music but besides that it is not really good of a game. So yeah the writing sucks, the story sucks, the characters sucks and yet it still has deep place my heart in because of nostalgia. It sucks though compared to other choose your own story games.
I also want to throw it out there that Chloe kills that guy's dog and then kills him when he was defending his home and his dog, very relatable 10 out of 10 game capitulates My Life perfectly
Honestly, this was one of the only parts of the game I enjoyed. It was at least nice to be able to put to rest one of these terrible characters. I was like: "Oh. Cool. A good for nothing drug dealer got shot." The other moment of the game that I enjoyed was watching Chloe accidentally shoot herself. Legit, I rewinded time around ten times just to watch her get shot over and over again. Legit, this game has such crappy characters that I enjoyed harming the "heroine" character. Not what you should go for when writing a choice based game.
I’m pretty sure she shoots because Frank literally grabs Max by the throat and is seemingly about to hurt her. His dog then comes charging out towards her (and Frank has stated multiple times that he’ll “bite her head off”) and then she shoots it. Frank then becomes irate and pulls out a knife (or gun) and starts charging at her. Either way, it’s self defense.
One of my least favorite games ever made. Awful writing, terrible characters, uninspired characters, and cheap visuals. Almost nothing about it is above average. You want to play a game about a time traveler uncovering a conspiracy? Try explorers of sky.
Bruh Warren beating up Nathan is the perfect opportunity for a “Planet of the Apes” reference. Literally the defining moment of the movie was when the main character says: “get your paws off me you damn dirty ape.” What if Warren said: “get your paws off her you damn dirty ape” when he attacks Nathan.

I loved when you brought up Gary Smith from Bully. He's one of my favorite douchebag characters in gaming, and I like him much more than Chloe because I'm encouraged to treat him as a little shithead (which ironically makes me actually like the character lol). Edit: Also LMAO Jimmy and Howard clip!! Saul Goodman is another favorite of mine holy shii- you're bringing out the expensive wine I see. Edit the II: You're right Gary would patronize the crap out of Chloe. In one of his first lines of dialogue he makes fun of his "tragic backstory", and when we hear through some thirdhand dialogue lines from NPCs that his dad has been imprisoned and his family is crap, we may realize that not only is that kind of sad but he would also never give up his manic arrogance to whine about it. I especially loved it when Jimmy asks him what his problem was and he just listed off his "issues" sarcastically. At least that's mean dignity.
I think the reason that David shows up in the dark room alone in some timelines and shows up with full police escort in others is that, in certain timelines, Mr. Jefferson kills Nathan before he can squeal to the police, and in certain ones, he doesn't. When Nathan tells the cops everything, they send a team, when he doesn't, David just shows up himself.
