really like how you ended it from 3:10 to the end. The chords during the phrase mars, is really beautiful and the ending holds out that longing chord and feeling.
Thank you for this video, I love David Bowie and I always imagine myself playing "Ziggy Stardust" on guitar or this and actually seeing someone doing it and hearing how beautiful it sounds inspires me to try and learn how to and do so, thank you
This is the best version I have come accross so far. Love that base. I like the fact that this arrangement is not overly complicated. Others over complicate the arrangement and the original beauty of the melody gets drowned.

Ian, you were always a household name for us. We used to frequent the caravan parks in the early 90s and my mom adored you. We always listened to your cassette at the time and that coupled with my father’s musical talent lead me to where I am today as a professional musician. You’re a legend and you don’t even know it! I’d love to hear that cassette again 💙
@@choppertowers don’t be sorry Ian I never expected you to remember us. Having said that when I dig out the photo albums I’ll send you a few photos of you and my folks. Do I remember rightly, you once did a cockney medley on one of your records?? Including Roll out the Barrel.
thank you so so much for this interptetation! David Bowie gave me zo me the the most enthustiatc moments of life---til this moment! greets from bavaria, germany!
In Buenos Aires, and he teaches at the Juan Esnaola Conservatory. I'd like to send you a link so you can see him at the piano in a theater, a few years ago. Best wishes to you too.
ive had this legenary song stuck in my head for weeks now not knowing what it was. bowie was a genious. its not wonder he was buds with freddy.... im glad i found someone who captured its brilliance.
Aw, just beautiful. Tears in my eyes, because I love to see talented and creative people like you who were inspired by David Bowie. You're a great player. Thank you for sharing- the ending was amazing! Nice touch
Ian, you've proved the power and positiveness in learning by sound. This version, other than making me cry, reminds me why England's Radio 2 called my 1971 David Bowie original with Rick Wakeman on piano, a cross between a Salvador Dali painting and a Broadway Musical. Dali is one of my favourite painters. Now you are too.
