@2:30 When that different key hits, I feel like I'm looking down at the world myself, slowly watching everything I hold dear drift farther away. I've come back to this rendition many times over the years, and that feeling has stuck with me since the day I first watched.
Didn't think a piano instrumental of this could be any good ... but this is incredible. Sensitive and complex arrangement, with so much feeling. Fitting tribute.
A true talent in Mr. Bradlee. What a great song! He knows his piano like a painter knows the canvas. Truly what is doing with the PMJ is brilliant and awesome!!!
Great arrangement- I was initially wary, seeing the title, but nice to see you restrained the ragtime flourishes and produced a nuanced version, with genuine emotional connection. Lovely.
Amazing Scott ...thank you for this.. and alow me to say your work its incredible ...also the whole postmodernjukebox thing ... you guys ...keep up the amazing work.
Wow. This was absolutely mesmerising Scott! You truly are an incredible pianist. Side note - second time of listening I got a Studio Ghibli vibe from this. I think this rendition would sound great in one of their films.
I'm hoping this catches your eye, but after David Bowie passed, I realized how beautiful "Life On Mars" would sound arranged for a barbershop quartet. I know that's not exactly your wheelhouse, but I would be willing to bet you know the right people to make something like that happen. If I knew anything about arranging music, I'd just do it myself, but alas I am simply an instrumentalist/vocalist and wouldn't know where to begin. I've been a huge fan for years and I'm stoked to see you when you come to KC in November! Thanks!
