Here, I give a short description of my recently published book, LIFE & SPACE (AVAILABLE HERE: a.co/d/eAYCLe8 . The book represents a laid-back passion project that I have been working on for about five years, containing over 100 short essays on topics in science and philosophy. Topics include but are not limited to the nature of consciousness, illusion of self, the human body, biodiversity, plate tectonics, planetary sciences, galaxies and black holes, artificial intelligence, and the future of humanity. The references include many of the books I’ve found most valuable over the last eight years.

Hi Caden, just came here to say that I love your videos, and you became a kind of a friend who I don't see everyday but it's aways awesome when I do. You've inspired me to study geosciences, and now I'm at the 3rd semester of my graduation in Geology, I've been working hard, and sometimes when I get too tired I remember of this vibe of yours, which is study, but more importantly apreciate and be thankful of what is happening around us. Bravo!! 👏🏼 it's not so easy to write a book. More over, had been pleasant watching an American young man making his coffe with the moka, as we italian are used to do. 😊 I love nature, expecially Mountains. I love hiking and mountain' activity. They fill me with passion and energy. I've started to recap my scientific study, done some years ago , and I'm studing earth science at high school level to understand if it would possible to go back at University in a geology degree course. I've watched some of your videos and I've found them interesting. Thanks for sharing your passion and your experience. 😊

Just wanna ask caden, how much money do you earn or if not, how much salary you think is in geology?

I make the normal salary of a research assistant pursuing a PhD. Salaries vary depending on your job. New professors ~80-100k USD, oil and gas/mineral exploration as high as 100-300kUSD. Some jobs are underpaid. Some overpaid. Range I'd give would probably be 40-400k USD haha

How many years does it take to graduate phd?

@@sennasenna4120 usually about five years. But people in physical sciences commonly get a BS and MS before, a cumulative six years. I'm in my 10th year of college right now hehe, but it becomes more of a profession and less "school" as you advance through the degrees. You really gotta love what you're doing to stay in it...
