Life Story -- Jake Luhrs from August Burns Red 

Jake and all of ABR changed my life in dark times when I thought there was no light at the end of the tunnel. I was angry at God. I cursed God. I denied God existed. And one day, after countless days of turmoil...I just said to God, I surrender. I give you everything I have. At this time, I had recently stated listening to ABR and really soaking up the meaning of the lyrics and I could feel God through them. God put ABR on the Earth to save lives for Christ. God Bless you all. Thank you for being warriors for christ.

I love this organization so much. Regardless of race, religion, income, etc. we ALL need fulfillment. This music is amazing. God is good.

I’m struggling a lot with sin and it’s making me separated from God which makes me doubt sometimes but, it’s great to see the truly amazing work he does through us and hearing your testimony gives me hope! Thanks Jake, thank you Lord Jesus! Amen!

I went to an august burns red show in 2012 and met jake at a singning and he show me heart support I started using heart support to express myself about not having too many friends and getting picked on and made fun of and started talking how I feel about not having more friends and how hard it is to make more friends and do things with friends. I probably only have 4 friends out the 272 friends on facebook that I actually hang out with and it's hard for me to make new friends. I started making new friends at my first job and made about 50 friends and that was the most I made freinds back when I was 21. I'm just shy and quiet and don't really know how to make conversations too begin with and it's difficult for me to fit in with people if they wear different clothes then me as well.

Honestly it's good to hear a real testimony about a man crying out to Christ for salvation bc you hear so many ppl in all these bands talk about being Christians but never talk about Christ and being saved from sin! A lot of these Christian bands I believe are frauds bc view wanted to be rock stars. I played and did some touring and found this most of the time. Thank God for real born again believers in our Lord Jesus Christ!
