Gowrl these apartments are CRAZY here in Atlanta. I toured an apartment in Atlanta not too long ago and why were there HALF EATEN CHICKEN WINGS all in the elevator and hallways!
Atlanta apartments are crazy, because folks with fast money keep moving in and out. It gets old paying $2700 a month and people throwing parties at the pool every night or something crazy happening.
The DV is really serious . An Airmen got pewed because the leasing office sent the cop to the wrong apartment concerning a DV issue. The airmen was in the apartment alone and lives alone so it wasn’t his apartment that had the DV issue. The couple that had the issue was known to argue and fight in the apartment complex. The airmen had the right to answer the door with his registered unaliver piece . It happened in fort walton, florida if you wanna look it up
This was my last apartment. It was so bad with my new management that I just broke the damn lease and moved back home. I didn't even want to give notice it was so terrible. I left the whole city I was in.
I could relate to everything you said. I had a downstairs neighbor who would talk on his phone on speaker in Spanish loudly on the patio nightly (and other times of the day). For several months. I kept complaining to the office. Then other folks complained about him too., especially after the loud Christmas Eve party they had into the morning hours. They were kicked out in February. But I was severely anxious for all that time. And we have Valet Trash too but our hallway is enclosed but also exposed to outside. And folks keep putting their trash out on days they don’t pick up. It’s already been 104 here this week so smelling hot trash is on its way. I keep telling the office about it and they send emails. I’m like y’all need to put up signs not emails. We also have rotating new folks so I will literally ignore the new people because they don’t know anything. The latest one has failed me twice so I literally sit in the lobby until the lady I know is available. So yes, I understand about wanting peace at home. I have new neighbors so I’m going to see how they are before I decide on my leasing situation since it’s better now except for the trash and wall neighbor who plays his music loud when he showers. Glad you’re getting out.
after hearing these stories I’m glad you’re moving this couldn’t be good for your mental health cause it’s like your always wondering what are they gonna do next!!
Your apartment complex sounds like my nieces’ where they did trash valet Monday through Saturday but they supplied a black trash can that had to be in the hall by 9pm. They also had a coffee machine in the lobby where you could get lattes and espresso which is free for the tenant and their guest. One night her neighbors were fighting and from what she heard she felt like someone was in danger. She called the police but her neighbors wouldn’t answer the door so the cops came to my nieces door where she let them into her house so they could hear what she was hearing. Chaotic neighbors impacts your peace severely
I feel you because I just moved out my last place after a year for a mess of nightmare reasons. I'm finally in a place I like better after the last few apts being trash, and hoping the same for you!
i am sorry about your experiences. so glad you were able to find a new place and have the means. i have also stayed in an apt for years just out of comfort and complacency. here's to new beginnings!
But that’s such a stressful environment to constantly have to deal w/. Home should be place of safety & peace! Moving is the worst but glad you have the ability to get out of there

Omg girlllll the apartment complex you’re describing (minus the neighbors) is what I’m going through! From the pee carpet hallways to the missing packages and the staff being unhelpful. So glad you’re leaving!! (Is it MAA??)
I'm glad you are moving otherwise you would be paying a management company to be nasty to you basically. You have explained a lot of patience throughout. Good job.
I've been contemplating moving, but listening to this story I'm thinking living on the third floor with no elevator is not so bad. Happy you're getting out of this situation and praying it gets a lot better. Looking forward to your home decor content. 😊
Based on the pictures and walls and door, I believe this is the exact place I lived in 2021! If there’s a pool on the roof, yesssss! I’m so sorry for you… the leasing office was awful.

Smh, I had the same issue with a couple. They argued every morning at 6am before he would go to work, then the rest of the day the wife would listen in on me through the wall. Then he'll come home and go to bed and curse her out again in the morning.
Your neighbors were giving demon possessed. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Thank God you are moving. I’ll be praying that it’s a swift and peaceful transition!

I'm neurodivergent, and very sensitive to sound. I have heavy footed women in my flat complex and that is stressful enough. Congratulations on your new move. Peace and wellbeing for the rest of 2024. x

I hate new management, when I was touring apts, they so misinformed and not helpful. My management been here for years including maintenance,they very helpful and would have opened the lockers with no problem, that lady needs to be cursed out

I live with my partner and their parent in GA. You do not owe anyone a reason to move and even without one, I know first hand that the apartments all over GA and ATL are AWFUL to their tenants. Smaller rooms and skyrocketing price is crazy. It's why I am comfortable where I am.
Thank god you moved! I’m having flashbacks listening to this. When I lived in Texas the same, I knew exactly what they were arguing about word for word it was crazy then an hour later they would be doing IT 🤦🏾♀️. That was my life for 1 whole year.

I own my home, thankfully. But here in CO, the rents here have skyrocketed! Between people moving here (please STOP!) and the economy of course. These leasing companies are charging an arm & a leg for NO quality - ridiculous!
Dang I’m so sorry you’ve been going through it.Ive had some similar experiences with where I’m staying, mine you l moved from Delaware to Florida. I had a similar situation with a package recently and they were no help. I even called the post office and all they told me was it showed it was delivered. Mine you this was Labor Day 😂😂🤦🏽♀️. Anyway sorry for rambling I say all that to say I feel your pain I’m glad you were able to get away from that horrible experience.
I am so sorry for your experience! I wholeheartedly believe that the lady in the leasing office stole your package and probably other people's packages. Hope that the lady who is in the abusive relationship finds the courage to leave safely. Best of luck with your new apartment complex.
For years I don’t get living in Atlanta. It’s like a place to hang out but I’d commute further out if i lived there. Too many things and too expensive.
ABSOLUTELY NOT !! I would be moving immediately!! I pay $2200 for rent and if I were to deal with anything that you described I would move IMMEDIATELY!! You should be able to have a comfortable clean safe living environment. Also, when you move can you please share this apartment complex, my son is planning to move to Atlanta in 3 months please 🙏🏾 I don’t want him to end up there 😢I’m so sorry you have been suffering like this 😢

I would’ve honestly called the non emergency line to have officers come over for a documented history of noise/nuisance complaints regarding the couple. Usually after 1 or 2 times of visits people like that get the hint and start reducing the volume of their nonsense. If they don’t now you have a record if you start reporting the issue to bylaw/neighborhood associations/upper management. With the constant filings they will either notify leasing offices themselves or hit them with fines/violations/higher taxes which is more likely to prompt middle management to do something about the people. Also feel free to name and shame the complex once you leave because public ridicule seems to be the fastest way to get these companies to act right 👏🏾 I don’t know what the DV laws are in atl, but in some areas if police see something threatening, have reasons to make an arrest, or receive a credible report of dv they are allowed to take action even if the couple says everything is fine. Hope your next place is better!
